On a recent visit to R. House I checked out Be.bim. I liked that they offered several options for ramen and rice bowls. I went with the Ramen. On this visit I had the seafood ramen. The proteins included were shrimp and salmon. The broth was savory and the noodles were just right. I would've appreciated more veg options with this bowl outside of the corn and sparse broccoli. Maybe some sprouts or bok choy? Service was fast and courteous. I'd check them out again, maybe inquire about additional veg options to add to the bowl. SYOY! read more

Absolutely DELICIOUS! I've never had a spicy chicken bulgogi bowl and this by far exceeded my expectations! Thankfully they were not busy so I wasn't holding up the line. This facility is located in R house, so there are so many options but this was my second time here inside of R house and the first time I was there for taharka. I'd definitely come back. From the reviews it appears they had a rough spell while I was away, but they've come back with the old staples and added quite a few new options. I've been here many times before but tried Korean this time. I love a good bulgogi. I ordered the chicken bulgogi, as-is, no substitutes and it was so good. The chicken was tender, the rice was warm, and the veggies were fresh and crisp. I added a side of crispy shrimp dumplings which were just ok. It was a quiet evening so we had our pick of tables. Most were clean and ready for us to plop down and devour our meals. The portion was just enough to fill you up without making you feel like a balloon. the short - I wanted so badly for this spot to be good, but the food lacked the "homemade" feel often associated with Korean cuisine and ultimately I was left a bit disappointed. Be.bim is located within R. house, which has decent parking around the area (Police parking lot across the street is my usual go-to). There's plenty of food court-like seating for a bunch of the businesses within the venue. I'm really glad Baltimore has this because I think it's really cool. Unfortunately, that's kind of where the positive stuff ends. We opted for the ramen and the dumplings. Service was ok - nothing really noteworthy in either direction. The ramen felt kind of like a spruced up instant ramen package sprinkled with Korean bbq and some veggies. I wasn't expecting a bowl like the type served at Japanese ramen spots, but this was pretty drastically unimpressive on all levels. The dumplings were ok. The filling ratio compared to the shell seemed rather small with the shell being on the rather thick side. They weren't bad, I just wouldn't say that they were very memorable. There's lots of good spots within R. house and I would love to see Be.bim vamp up their food quality to be on par with the other businesses. Overall this is okay food in a nice food court. I had the spicy ramen and the chicken mandu (Korean fried dumplings). The food came out quick. The ramen broth had good flavor, but the noodles tasted similar to instant ramen noodles and the toppings and meat were scarce especially for the price. The Ramen was 13 dollars before adding the meat which was another 4. The dumplings had a nice fry on them, they were hot, and the stuffing was okay. We love a food court. I think it's fun to have lots of options when you get together to meet different people's needs. There was live music both times we went- once on a weekend and once on a Monday night. My go-to order here is the brunch special that includes tater tots, two fried eggs with scallions as a garnish, and I chose bulgogi as my protein. It comes with three dipping sauces. I ditched the ketchup but used some of the spicy mayo and white/yellow sauce (my favorite). The tots could've been crispier this time, but still good. After tax, this meal cost $14. The staff there is usually nice/friendly. This is located inside R. House so there's plenty of seating and the space is open. It can feel crowded on the weekends. I figured maybe thats a signature flavor and they must add other layers of flavor to give it depth, this is still a "Ramen" spot with a super Korean name so I didn't freit about it. Order comes out and it looks great in the to-go container...but after one quick spiral of my plastic fork I noticed the wavy noodles... $17 Ramen created with a top-ramen pack. The fried egg is an extra $1.50 and kimchi is an extra $1. I skipped out on the fried egg and got the kimchi instead. For that price, I was expecting a decently sized bowl but instead got a take out box that was not even half full. I barely tasted any kimchi either. The entire dish missed out on any Korean flavor. Just ate here and I was shocked that this place only had a 3 star average review on Yelp! I and my family thought it was solidly 4 stars. Everything tasted good. We got two bulgogi bowls, the salmon cake, the chicken mandu, and the hotteok. The bowls were great. The mandu were fine. Salmon cake was decent but a bit on the greasy side. I loooved the sweet potato fries and the sauces that came with it (ketchup, chipotle mayo, wasabi mayo). Fries were perfect amount of crispy, and flavorful. Really enjoyed the hotteok (sweet Korean dessert) too - first time I tried it and it reminded me of Chinese scallion pancakes except these were sweet and less floury. We got red bean and brown sugar cinnamon- both were good but I preferred the red bean which had a perfect balance of flavor and texture. The brown sugar one had hot gooey brown sugar in the middle which was tasty but maybe a little overpowering in the part where it was the most concentrated. I think Be.bim deserves a solid 3 stars. My first issue is, the food seems hardly reminiscent of Korean BBQ. It feels more like the Chipotle of Korean BBQ. 3.5 stars. Located inside R house, which is a super nice renovated building with lots of natural light. It's super clean and contemporary. Their ddeokbokki was good, and worth the $11.50. It is rice cakes in a spicy-sweet sauce with squid and cheese. It comes in a decent sized bowl and it also comes with a bowl of rice (which was a nice surprise). The sauce had a good kick and wasn't overly sweet. It's also nice and warm and I'd recommend giving it a try. The rice bowl I thought was okay, but not the best. It's a little more chipotle style where you choose a meat, white or multigrain rice, 3 toppings, and sauce. Bf and I tried the kalbi with multigrain rice, kimchi, kimchi cucumbers, and kale topping with the gochujang sauce and a little of the sesame. The kalbi wasn't bad; it was seasoned nicely. Some pieces were tougher than others, but they did give a decent portion of meat. I just don't think the whole bowl was worth the $15.50. The bowl was more of a cool bowl (it wasn't heated) and it contrasted nicely with the ddeokbokki. I thought the kimchi was good, but the cucumbers weren't pickled well. If I wanted to get another bowl, I'd prob go with spicy chicken or pork. For $11.50 the bowl might be more worth it. I'd def come back to R House in general, and I'd def come back again to grab some ddeokbokki read more

I've been hearing from friends that we must visit R.House in Remington. We decided to give it a try and I'll review the venue separately! Be.bim is a korean food stand within R House and my husband and I were immediately drawn to it. I opted for a bowl with white rice, pork belly, tomato, black soy bean, brussel sprouts and spicy mayo. The portions are huge, probably could have shared my bowl with hubs (we have pretty different tastes though, so he grabbed his own). The pork belly was well seasoned and every so often you'd get a crispy bite. The spicy mayo is delicious, it's a more mild spice, but great flavor. Overall this feels like a Korean, hipster version of Chipotle. A fun change of pace and completely appropriate for the neighborhood-- worth the trip! read more

I'm shocked this place doesn't have a higher rating because I think it's delicious! The medium sized bowl is perfect for me and I love having the option between white, brown or multigrain rice or kale salad. I chose half multigrain and half kale. There are tons of protein options (chicken, tofu, salmon, shrimp, etc) so I went with the honey ginger shrimp. I also love that I can pick out my own toppings and veggies (with the medium bowl you get 3, large bowl 5) so I went with carrots, broccoli and tomatoes. There were tons of sauce options so I just went with the safe bet of the bulgogi which was tasty. I had no problems with the customer service and my food was ready about 4 minutes later. I go to R. House a lot but had never tried Be.bim. I was with two friends and we all got bowls (one of us got a vegetarian bowl, while my other friend and I got bowls with the bulgogi beef). The toppings we got on our bowls were pretty straightforward yet tasted fresh. The staff was generous with the sauces and let me combine a couple of them without extra charges. One great plus about Be.bim is the shear amount of food received. I eat a lot, but even after eating more than enough to fill me up, I still had a bit of my bowl left to take home. Based on the amount of food we got, the prices seemed very reasonable. All in all, Be.bim is a solid choice for a quick meal at R. I stopped by here a couple of Saturday nights ago with my wife for dinner. Since Be.Bim is in R House there isn't too much to say about it other than it's a window where you order your food and then take it back to one of the shared tables to eat. Originally I went to the cash register side of the window first only to be redirected to the other side to order my food. For dinner on this evening I decided to go with the spicy squid medium bowl. I chose brown rice and the broccoli, corn and kimchi as my three mixins (after consulting with the worker for the favorites) and had them finish it off with gochujang sauce. After about a 5 minute wait it was ready and I was headed back to the table. The food looked pretty good and with my first bite I can certainly tell you that they delivered as advertised as it was spicy! That's not to say that it was too spicy though and I think they did a good job of walking the line between between spicy and inedible. Sadly I can't say that they did a good job on the squid. It was cut up into tiny little pieces and each bite of it was quite chewy due to how rubbery it was. I did at least enjoy the rice and all three mix ins that I had picked out. The bottom line for me is that I probably wouldn't stop by here again in the future. While I didn't think my meal was bad, I also didn't love it and think that there are better options available in R House. read more

I came here for an early lunch on a Sunday. I ordered a beef bulgogi stone bowl. The staff was very helpful in making suggestions for the condiments on the bowl. I got edamame and a bunch of vegetables. It came with a sesame soy sauce and a side of spicy mayo. The flavors really worked well together. It was $16 for the bowl, which was very steep, but the bowl was a good portion. The beef was cooked and seasoned well. The mayo sauce really added a good flavor profile to the bowl. Overall, I would certainly order the same thing again. There were other things on the menu, such as soup bowls, that I'd like to try as well. I would definitely eat here again. I also liked the ambience of R-House. There is a bar in the middle of this "food court," which makes this eating area so cool and unit. read more

This appears to be a spinoff of Brown Rice Korean Grill (great place with several branches including one nearby at 24th and Charles). However, Be.bim in R.House offers only one size of bowl and a smaller selection of toppings, and fewer other menu items, while the prices are higher. Tip: Never do business with a vendor who doesn't list their prices. I was surprised by the total. $18.50 is a lot for a fast-food lunch -- a medium-sized salmon rice bowl. In my case it was $20 because one of my toppings turned out to be an extra $1.50 (a fried egg that they then forgot to add!). You get to pick 7 toppings from a list of 10, but only 7 of the 10 will keep you at the same price. The other 3 all have surcharges. read more

This is my first time in the R house and it's reminiscent of Brookfield Place food court in NYC. A much needed food court in the Baltimore Hopkins area and the area is very clean. The meat/protein made with great spice and seasoned well! 2. You get multiple choices of sides to choose from, but can only have 5 sides. All sides well portioned off to make a 7 course meal. 3. The only knock on this place is the rice. I tried their fried rice and it tasted a little bland compared to the rest of the components in the bowl. 4. I love spicy sauces and their sauce for the pork belly and bulgolgi are amazing!! I would give 4.5 stars if I could, but Yelp won't let me. I went to the R.house to meet a friend after 9:00 and all of the other food places were closed. I was starving so since was the only place open they won my business. I don't understand why the bar would stay open but the rest of the food places would stay closed? Any way I had the Teriyaki Salmon bowl and it was amazing. I did not expect it to even be so great! It was so much that I got a chance to eat the rest for lunch the next day which is always a plus. The Customer Service here is always great. I don't feel rushed when I am picking out my five veggie choices of what I want to go in my bowl. They are always making suggestions and telling me what the customers favorites are.
