Little oily, but great flavor. Lots of beef. Noodles cooked perfectly, not soggy. Soup comes out piping hot which I love. Nothing worse then mediocre warm soup. Perfect for this winter weather. We also tried one of the rolls. The kimbab was pretty good as well. Big rolls, stuffed with a lot of filling. Flavorful. One negative is that the beef was very tough in the roll. In my search for the best Korean in my city I stumbled upon this hip up beat Korean street food spot. The service was fine and helpful nothing out of the ordinary or over the top which was fine I was there to eat. I took my 7 year old who like me enjoys trying different cultures food (to an extent). We decided to split a few things just to give it all a good try. We decided to get the Omurice and bulgogi which was an excellent combination of savory and sweet with just enough spice. The kimchi one of my favorite things and biggest things I judge a place on was good it could use a little more spice but I for sure enjoyed it. We also decided to get an order of the fire bulgogi Kimbop (spicy) and the BB Kimbop (vegetarian not spicy). Both were awesome! Me being more of a spicy person I for sure love the fire Kimbop it was spicy but not too spicy. As far as the ambiance goes it was a very upbeat modern Korean street food. Very clean and modern. The interior design of the restaurant was really what caught my eye and made me want to try BBMyun when it first opened. My friends went during closing time and gave their opinions but I thought I'd try it myself. Unfortunately it was underwhelming and disappointing. Duluth has a plethora of Asian spots and this one is quickly becoming my favorite. They have 4 different noodle options: ramen, somen, ramen, and a thin rice noodles. We were seated right away when we walked in. You scan the QR code on the table for the menu. Spicy beef kalguksu: you get so much meat! I would rate this more medium spicy, where you can still enjoy the soup. Very flavorful! Spicy seafood some : equally delicious, lots of seafood! It tasted a bit less spicy than the beef kalguksu, so it made the soup even more enjoyable. Fire kimbap: I thought this would be the spiciest, but turned out not so spicy at all. I've gotten food from here 3 times since last August, and they never cease to amaze me with the portion sizes, flavors, and prices! I've been hooked ever since I picked up a couple rolls of kimbap to-go. Their tonkotsu omurice lasted me for two meals. The tonkotsu was crispy on the outside with a sweet gravy sauce. The omurice was bigger than my hand and packed with a delicious fried rice coated with lots of other sauces. These two had textures and flavors that complemented each other very well. I also absolutely loved the cheese corn that came with it. The Menu for Two is a great deal and another fantastic combination of dishes. You get to build a meal from 3 menus by choosing a bowl of noodles (myun), beef or pork bulgogi, and regular or fire kimbap. Even though it was a lot of food, it didn't feel very heavy when we finished it all, and there's many combinations to try because of all the different myun they offer. Their menu is quite large with a lot of variety. Based on the consistency and quality every time I've come before, I know I won't be disappointed trying something new. I already know that I want to go back and try their dduk bok ki (rice cake dish) and other myuns. The inside of the restaurant is cozily modern with high ceilings, plants, and wooden booths. There's Korean music videos projected on one of the walls, and the music is kept at a good volume. The plaza parking lot outside can be packed during meal times, but there's usually a spot available. All in all, this has been one of my favorite restaurants in Duluth. It's the first place I mention these days when people ask for recommendations in the area. read more

This is by far one of my favorite Korean restaurants. I love the variety of noodle dishes (hence the restaurant's name), you can try something new every time you go and never get bored with the menu. The pickled radish is crispy with a good level of pickled flavor. Pretty standard and a great way to start your meal. The chicken soup is soooooo good. It comes in a cute milk steaming cup and it tastes delish. So full of flavor, I drank 3 cups worth! CHEESE N TUNA KIMBAP - Larger than your average kimbap and you definitely get your money's worth. BBMyun is located in a little strip mall with plenty of free parking. BBMyun is decorated really nicely with a modern interior. We were seated as soon as we walked in and service was amazing with even the owner coming by to check on us. When you're seated, you even get a little pitcher of water on the table so you can refill yourself as needed. We received complimentary soups and radishes as well. Though the soup comes out in a little pitcher, you're supposed to drink this and not pour it on your dish!! I ordered the Kimchi & Bugolgi Kimbap ($6.99) and the Cold Myun ($10.99). My friend ordered the Fire Squid Kimbap ($6.99) and the Jjol Myun ($10.99). I only chose to order the Kimbap as I wanted to be sure I had enough food not knowing the size of the portions and it was MASSIVE. Both of Kimbaps came out ahead of our entree and I think one order of the Kimbaps alone is a meal for myself! The Kimchi & Bulgogi Kimbap was loaded with kimchi and bulgogi and had the smallest layer of rice which is ideal! It came with a nice spicy mayo with sesame oil type of sauce that was perfect for dipping. My friend really enjoyed her fire squid kimbap, but said it was not for the faint of heat as it was pretty spicy (like the menu says). When both of our Myuns came out they were MASSIVE portions. I do eat a lot, but this portion was more than double of what I thought it would be. The veggies in my myun were so fresh and crispy which complimented the cold noodles so nicely. Such a light and refreshing dish. I ended up only eating half my myun and half my kimbap. All in all, I paid a total of $23 after tax and tip for all this food and took home half of everything! Had high hopes for this place as ddukbokki (spicy rice cake) easily tops as one of my favorite Korean dishes. Their ddukbokki didn't really work for me but I did love their spicy chewy noodles (jjolmyun). This was actually very good. But since they advertise as ddukbokki specialty place, I ended up giving 3 stars bc their ddukobokki wasn't very good. The sauce wasn't very great, leaves sort of "cotton mouth" feel afterwards. Kimmali wasn't cripsy at all (fried seaweed roll) which is a big minus. Hopefully they will fix their kinks out in a few days and maybe I will return then. Service was okay. The vibes of this place is definitely one worth checking out. This looks to be a new place that just opened so I knew I had to check it out. Upon entering in, the setup is clean, the service is quick, and it's all fresh looking. The menu itself reminds me of a competitor in the area but the difference is, this place has a bit more variety in terms of the noodle soup area. They offer popular noodle soup dishes which is far different from their local competitor because these are essentially Korean street food joints but BBMyun has more food selections than their competitor because with BBMyun, they offer not just ramen, but kalguksoo which is a seafood noodle soup with rice noodles, udon which is a japanese version complete their a thicker rice noodle (though they look to be the same as the kalguksoo, just different style of broth), and finally somen. Another style of noodles is the jjolmyun and bibimmyun which are sweet/spicy mixed noodle so this place has your noodle soup crave covered. But that's just half the menu! On the other side is all your favorite Korean street food fixin's like Tonkatsu, kimbbap varieties, DIY Ttukboekki (spicy rice cake), and a slew of chef specials. I opted to grab the Tonkatsu and their kalbi-cheese kimbap. The Tonkatsu dish is like anything else which is a slab of tempura fried pork cutlet slathered with a sweet sauce-like gravy which is typical of how Korea serves it. Comes with a large heap of white rice, a ginger dressed salad, and a scoop of mashed potatoes. My only complaint is that the pork was not cut and using a butter knife to cut meat isn't the best form. The kimbap was tasty! Probably shouldn't have gotten it with cheese as it was American cheese and didn't add anything other than what American cheese offers. But it was filling and that was the important thing for me when I visited. BBMyun was a random find while in Duluth for work. Their omurice is what attracted me to the menu. I ordered the beef bulgogi omurice, which was hot and very falvorful. It also came with Korean side dishes of kimchi and pickled radish, which I loved. The mango matcha tea was light and refreshing. I also ordered a bowl of the beef bone soup. It lacked a bit in flavor, but the meat was tender and falling off the bone. The portion sizes are very big for the price. read more

We ordered tteokbokki, spicy beef somen, Kimbab, and omurice. Tteokbokki was horrid. Went with four Koreans and this was horrible. The rice cakes were like PASTE; they got cut in half just by being picked up by my chopsticks. No chew AT ALL. Also, ALL the broth and sauces were super watered down. Sauce for the tteeokboki was just watered down red nasty. Omurice was okay, but the rice was too soft. Kinda like mush almost. Same goes for the kimbab. We spent $76 and we got served just... bad food. I could've bought over 160 nuggets from McDonald's for this price and had a much better time. read more

They check your temperature as you enter, which I appreciate. I feel safer knowing everyone had their temperature checked before entering the restaurant. I ordered Tuna kimbap & spicy cheese kimbap as a takeout. Usually kimbaps come with danmooji(pickled radish) on the side, but they did not. Didn't really need it so I didn't really mind. But with two rows of kimbap, I expected two of the miso soups but only received one, so that sucked. Tuna kimbap was good, and omg I did not expect spicy cheese kimbap to be THAT spicy. & I enjoy spicy food. So beaware, it's pretty spicy and it will burn your mouth afterwards.
