Food quality has gone down....the Seafood ramen for example now I see half an octopus only whereas before I get a good amount of seafood, whole octopus and a bunch of octopus legs but that is no longer and I'm very disappointed. The area where this is located is full of great restaurants and this place is no exception. The inside is beautifully decorated and the staff greets you at the door. They use a call system at your table. So when your ready to order or need assistance you just press a button on the table. I ordered the Fire Cheese Kimbap and the pork cutlet Omurice. Two things I never had before. I would recommend them to anyone who has never had that sorta thing. The Kimbap had a slice of American cheese which was a little weird because it reminded me of sushi but still good. So delicious!! We come here probably once a month. My fiancé loves the tonkatsu omurice and always gets that. I got their spicy seafood kalguksu this time and it was so delicious. It's definitely quite spicy but it comes with plenty of seafood and perfectly cooked noodles. The broth is rich and delicious. My sister likes to get the spicy beef kalguksu. Overall this restaurant is like a hit or miss for me only due to certain items like kimbop definitely exceeding my expectation, ddukbokki being just okay/mediocre, and the kalguksu FAR from meeting expectation. Out of the three, the spicy kalguksu was the most disappointing only due to the fact that the the dish was basically the same as the spicy seafood noodle soup (jjampong) you would get at a chinese place with different noodles in them and way overpriced (12 dollars i believe) for the serving size and the ingredients. I was hoping for the traditional spicy seafood kalguksu you would get at a typical korean restaurant, not different noodles inside a jjampong broth and calling that kalguksu. The same dish at yummy place down the street would be the better option if your looking for kalguksu and they definitely don't skimp on portions either. To be honest, this was more like a dinner for one because we were both hungry after eating all of the food. Everything was delicious. I just wish the portion was larger. BBMyun is a new Korean snack food restaurant. The old Danmooji/Danji boss runs the store and as always, she never disappoints. It does help seeing an old face in a new location. Last time I went, we got the Omurice, Ddukbokki, Tuna Kimbap, and Donkatsu Kimbap. The Omurice is amazing. It tastes phenomenal. Normally, I'm not one to order omurice because its sometimes too small for me. It came with a small side salad which also tasted just as good. The Ddukbokki is as imagined. Good. It's not like Danji's where its a little less saucy and rough. What I mean by rough is that you can see, taste, and feel the red pepper flakes (which is not a bad thing at all). The serving size is a little small but thats nothing to complain about. The Kimbap is just amazing. It tastes just as good the next day. The Tuna and Donkatsu kimbap is just my go-to at all times (and the spicy octopus kimbap is also solid if you are looking for a spicy kimbap). All in all, the customer service and the food makes me want to come back every time. Its the best snack food restaurant in the Duluth area. Danmooji just isn't what it used to be so I'd recommend BBMyun. The price is a little steeper but I go for taste every time, no matter the price. The interior is clean and spacious. The bulgogi was awful (way too sweet and clearly made with soy sauce and sugar only). I make better fried rice. The spicy mayo is a joke. The noodles, veggies, and seafood for the seafood ramen were edible and fresh, but the overall soup was underwhelming at best. Oh, and we had to flag someone down on a not too busy day to place our order. It's too bad. This looked so promising. Maybe there are better options on the menu, but we will not be back to try them out. I am not a pro chef, but I can make better food at home = under four stars. read more

When I got the food I said I feel like I'm being fed like a king. Breading was crisp on the meat and everything was well put together. I like the balance of sweet and salty flavors (intentionally varying textures too). I'd never seen corn like that. The noodles here are so good! We were expecting this place to only have cold mixed noodles as the name suggests but they also carry a variety of warm soup noodle dishes, perfect for the winter! The beef based soups all come with a huge beef rib in the bowl that is super tender and meaty. So if you are in the mood for some noods, this is the place for you! They have a variety of classic Korean noodle styles to pick from: Somen (thin noodles), Kalguksu (knife cut noodles), Ramen (a good ole favorite), Udon (thick and chewy noodles), and Myun (chewy noodles). They also serve some Korean street food faves like fried dumplings and kimmari, tons of different kimbap, and ddukbokki. We ordered the squid kimbap which was simple and delicious! It had big pieces of squid and a delicious pickled radish wrapped in rice. For our main entrees, we ordered the Beef Somen and Udon. The Beef Somen came with a healthy serving of noodles, eggs, and mung beans. It also came with a huge beef bone. The beef was surprisingly tender and delicious. The Udon though was my personal favorite. I feel like the broth healed my soul. It took my back to Korea when I had Udon noodles on a cold day and it just made me feel warm and happy. It was the perfect balance of fish from the fish cakes, salt, and umami. And you can never go wrong with thick and chewy udon noodles. The service at BB Myun was great too! They were really friendly, the restaurant was clean, and I love how they have set up the dining room to have barriers between guest. Been wanting to check this place out since my daughter raves about it so much! Cute place off of Pleasant Hill and pretty cheap for the amount of food that comes out. For starters they served the pickled daikon and some fish cake soup broth. Was nice, warm, and tasty. The fire squid bimbap was super large compared to others I've seen before and full of flavor. It was pretty spicy but nothing you wouldn't be able to handle. Definitely will try the other versions as well next time. The fried dumplings were also huge! THe filling is all noodles which I thought was interesting but it was seasoned and had a sweetness to it. Dip that into the chili sauce that comes with it and it's perfect! The omurice dish was also a ginormous size! I don't know how one person would finish that but the server says he normally eats more than what we ordered combined! Needless to say, although everything was delicious, we needed three boxes to bring the rest of the yumminess back home! All that for $30 was not bad at all!
