I have been a customer of BB Nails and Lashes for almost 2 years now. I normally go to Bee, she is amazing, takes her time, is great with designs and never hurts me with the drill. I have also been to Bubba once when Bee was unavailable and he was great as well! He pays really close attention to detail and is great to converse with about food and grilling steaks! I recently was treated to a polish change by Ly, she was hilarious and fun to work with! She also did a great job on my polish change and worked around a toe I had that was injured. I also recently had a gel polish manicure by Julie and she was so sweet and kind. She did a great job! I plan to come back to this salon as long as they are in business! This is my go-to place in Chico. I get a gel pedicure typically. They do a good job with the massage and the gel. They are very clean and I like the massage chairs which are in good condition. I love the look of the interior. I do hate when they play country, so I always make sure to bring my headphones just in case. Overall, I come back here every time. I was bummed to show up once on Sunday to find that they are now closed on Sunday's though. My one complaint. read more

Absolutely love this nail and lash business! The owners are genuinely chill and professional, creating a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel comfy!. Also, the decoration is super cure, all black ,white and sparkles! I've been getting my nails done here for several months, and the technicians are meticulous and delicate, always using beautiful polish colors. My lash extensions by B and Sophia are good too; they go above and beyond to accommodate my allergy sensitivities, like using paper over the beds and circulating fresh air. Their prices are very reasonable for the central location. At times the fumes from the polish, people circulating inside, lash glue fumes, etc could add up...If they added a few air filters, it would be perfect! So bad where to begin. First red flag, when she tried to remove my old acrylic by popping them straight off my nails. That HURTS, which is why she ended up stopping, but it's also horrible for your nails. I even saw one of the owners do this to another customer.... Second red flag was when she started complaining that taking off my nails the proper way was taking too long... she started getting irritated that she even had to do the job at that point. 3rd red flag, when she didn't know how to apply acrylic. She gave me acrylic nails that look like a horrible dip nail job. Thick, uneven, crooked, and not the shape I asked for. I was giving her the benefit of the doubt, assuming she'd work some magic with the file and shaping! Nope, didn't happen! One of my nails you can see where the acrylic starts (way too far away from the cuticle) so you can see the gel on my natural nail bed. It looks crazy. Final red flag, the gel polish application. I have a feeling the girl who did my nails has no idea what she's doing. I've never seen someone paint nails by pushing up and down the nail... I'm appalled. Needless to say I'll never be back. I should have walked out when she started causing me pain via unprofessional nail removal. The anxiety I experienced during this session threw off my whole day honestly. Ly and Mayye were wonderful. My brother and I went in for a last minute pedicure and had an amazing experience - they both took their time with the pedicures and were extremely friendly. I am so excited to have discovered this place- thanks to a referral from a friend that lives here in Chico. We visit Chico about 4 times a year now and it's great to have a salon I can go to! The salon itself appears very new, it's very well styled, clean, spacious, and their chairs are excellent. Their tools are all individually wrapped and sanitized, everything is super organized and their pricing is on point. $35 for a gel manicure. No extra gimmicks. Quality of work was five stars. It wasn't rushed but also I was out of there in 45 minutes (had gel to remove at the beginning). Great experience and highly recommend! read more

Went here a couple of years ago and was not impressed at all. Thought I would give it another try. The woman who did my pedicure was the same one who did it before "mom". Not sure she is licensed. I pointed out a couple of spots she missed on my big toe and she got irritated. The polish on both my big toes is lumpy and looks like a child did them. Needless to say I will not be going back. Other people in the salon seemed happy with their services. Even though I was a walk in, should not be the reason for lousy service. I told the man I was willing to wait. Stopped in to try a new salon. I was impressed by the decor and cleanliness, however my excitement soon changed. I got there at 3 and didn't leave till 530. I had gotten a poorly done pedicure, that took two people to do because the first person didn't know how to put polish on. Then it was time for a fill. The fill took two hours and the lady seemed fresh out of school and didn't know what she was doing. She then had another guy finish my nails and I ended up paying 90$ with a 20$ tip. Fast forward ONE day later and 8 of my nails popped off. Definitely won't be coming back. This place was awesome, my first time getting a pedicure to humor my wife, who is a mani-pedi veteran. This is the first salon she's been to that she actually enjoyed every part of the process. I also had a great time, although I don't have any other experiences to compare to. I found the staff kind, helpful and accommodating. My nail tech didn't speak English,the other two did, but regardless she made sure every part of the process was comfortable for me and to my liking! I was excited to try this place after reading reviews-it was my birthday and also right around the corner from my house. I had messaged about appointments and they said they took walk ins so to come whenever. Me and a friend showed up at one on a Saturday and were told no one would be in until two. No big deal, we left for an hour then headed back over. The place was nicely re-done with a good color selection and a menu to choose what level of mani/pedi you'd like. We both decided on the mid level ($65) which included a nice massage/scrub. However, the actual look of the nails came out terrible. They were painted far from the cuticle edge making it look like I'd had the pedi for weeks not freshly done. Also, the gel top coat is all over my toes/extending past the nail bed. It looks terrible and it's uncomfortable but if I try to file it/cut it back the entirety of the polish comes off. Haven't had it in for a week and multiple toes have peeled off due to this. My last pedicure from a different salon lasted a couple months. Wanted to love it here because of the convenience, but I feel like I wasted nearly $80 (service plus tip). read more

I gave this new salon a try on a Saturday. I made an appointment and received a text reminder. The place is new, and thought put into the glam salon decor. I wish the quality of my manicure and pedicure matched. My sister and I started with a pedicure, but the ladies who started the treatment did not speak any English. Barely a hello, lots of pointing and trying to communicate what exactly we wanted. No consistency between mine and my sisters pedi. All very disjointed with the pedi being finished by the co- owner. She brushed away the ladies to do the painting. The gal had not finished and left some of my sisters toes without filing or cuticle trimming. No leg massaging. No heel treatment that we thought we communicated. There was polish on our cuticles, all really poor quality. Asked for a redo as the polish literally sliding off in a goopy mess. They couldn't seem to fix after 2 attempts. The manicure was even worse. Now a gentleman toggling between me and another client. His work station a mess and did not appear to clean up between clients. No soaking, no lotion, and neglected a top coat. We were refunded for one pedicure. More attention needed in providing a quality service. read more
