Wendee is the owner-operator and has no other staff. The salon feels much more like a spa than your typical nail studio. She had baked goods and a single serve coffee maker set out in the entry way, presumably for clients. No tv with bad daytime television, instead a nice selection of trendy but low key music played in the background. She is friendly and chatty without being obsequious. I am new to the area and she provided me with several dining tips and shopping suggestions. We discussed a variety of other subjects. I believe she is a local girl. She took plenty of time on my manicure and pedicure and I'm pleased with the results. I'm confident the gel will stay on at least 2 weeks. When I made my appointment I had to wait a few days, but she indicated this had been an unusually busy week. read more

Wendee gave me a CND Shellac manicure and she did an excellent job. It's been 4 weeks today and they are still perfect other than the grow out. She gave me good information on how to take care of them. Her shop is clean and she is sweet. Just got my nails done by Wendee today. I got a full acrylic set with glitter detail. The nails look great! She was very meticulous and took her time. It has been some time since I decided to treat myself to a professional mani/pedi and being new to this community, I turned to Yelp to steer me in a promising direction. Yelp did not fail me. I chose Gloss Nail Salon due to the positive reviews. I called to make an appointment (no walk-ins/appts only). I was able to book for the next day. I'm so tired of the larger salons with their hard to understand/impersonal staff. I was willing to wait for a PRIVATE one on one appt. Wendee (the owner/operator) is the only technician and books by appt only to give that EXTRA touch. I recently fractured my wrist and it is casted. Wendee was more than willing to evaluate me at my appointment to determine if she could accommodate my limited flexibility. She wanted me to be a satisfied customer and was more concerned for MY outcome than making a fast buck. She was cheerful, professional, engaging during the entire appointment. What a fabulous improvement in my years of nail experiences. My nails turned out absolutely gorgeous. I plan to refer many people to Gloss Nail Salon.
