Creating a Sustainable You

I would give this therapist no stars if I could. I had a massage this afternoon with Isaac. I sent…read moremy intake form a week ahead of time along with a message on it and he never even took the time to read any of it until I came to my appointment. Wasting 10 min. of my massage time. When the massage was over I realized that he shorted me 7 min. of a scheduled hour massage. We started at 2:25 and ended at 3:18. I arrived on time. Had he looked at my intake information before I arrived we could have discussed any questions or concerns via email, text or phone, or as the massage was starting to commence and the massage would have begun and ended on time. The massage was mediocre at best. Hence, his lack of experience of only 3 years. The points of pain that I told him bothered me more than others, he treated just like any other part of the body that had no issues accept for my shoulders, and sadly, that was mediocre at best as well. He needs to pay attention to his clients when they speak to him regarding issues of concern. I have had thousands of massages of many modalities, and all of my massage therapists are seasoned professionals and have the experience and are well trained to deal with all of my issues. They are very common issues to the well trained seasoned professional. I am trained myself in massage therapy in many modalities so I am well versed in what is expected during a massage therapy session and unfortunately this one did not measure up. Definitely go to someone with at least 10 or more years of experience and to someone who does not think that neurological and joint issues are uncommon when you come for a massage, like Issac does. Moving on. Hey Candi: I'm not going to spend much time on my response to you because I already said the the truth regarding what happened before and during my massage session. The bottom line is he was asked to a medium pressure Swedish massage and stay away from my neck. We spoke of my issues briefly but they were not the prime focus of the massage. I gave him the basics. He should have looked at my info beforehand in case he had any questions. If I needed him to lighten up on the pressure I told him to do so and it was still mediocre at best. It was not rocket science. FYI again, I did not get extra time. The session was done 7 minutes early and I was there on time. You said it yourself, he couldn't give me extra time since he had someone right after me. I finally found a professional masseuse familiar with all of my issues and we are a great match. I hope you find massage therapists that can handle people with various issues whether they turn out to be muscular skeletal, neurological, neuromuscular and the like. Your business will be better for it and I hope you and your massage therapists learn to take criticism as a positive tool. It's called being a grown up, instead of a child. Have a nice day! I went here recently after driving around Paradise salons on a Saturday that have signs that say…read more"walk ins welcome" and finding them all to be closed. Finally I found this salon, and came with a photo of what I was aiming for. I knew nothing about this particular salon going in. Upon arrival there were 2 employees standing around and no customers. I was snapped up by the younger of the two. The technique used by the person who cut my hair was less than impressive, I'm really accustomed to people layering my hair with traditional hair cutting scissors, here they use thinning shears and razor. That would be fine if the outcome was OK, I've had a couple stylists uses those techniques and left happy. The outcome on my hair this time was not OK. It doesn't lay well, it's a mess, it looks really thin. I'm not sure what to do with it because I didn't want to take off significant length but now I think I'm going to have to. I'm used to going to random walk in places, but in the future if I'm going to do that I'll drive down to JCP salon or Regis in Chico. Usually when I walk out of a salon I leave happier than when I went in, that wasn't true here. I left knowing I was going to have to get it cut again by someone else. In other situations I might talk to the stylist to get what I want a little better, in this instance she saw I was unhappy with part, went to fix it and it didn't really help. Scared to make things worse, I opted to leave rather than give her an opportunity to fix it again, because I want there to be something left for a better stylist to work with. I had mentioned to the stylist I have a job interview in a few days, so I went hoping to get a nice confidence building and professional haircut. Check the pic, would you feel confident or professional? I'm embarrassed.

I will not have anyone else do my hair. Every time I get my hair cut or dyed by them I am always…read moreextremely happy with the results. The ladies that work there are all very sweet and take the time to make conversation and get to know you. It's never boring sitting there waiting for your hair be done because they always are interested in talking and having fun. They are not the most professional, but that doesn't bother me much. The one thing that does is the cleanliness of the building. There are ceiling tiles missing, and when then get busy, the cut hair is left on the floor (thus the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) Altogether, I'm always happy after going there!
