Had a 5:30 pm appointment on a Wednesday evening, and finally got my pedicure started at 8 p.m. If I had been a walk-in, I get it. But I was a confirmed steady client with an appointment. I had a really bad experience at the salon yesterday with another nail tech. I went in for an acrylic fill and decided to get a full set. She didn't really talk to me and seemed annoyed by everything I asked her to do. When I asked her to make them shorter she gave me a dirty look and said something in vietnamese. She never really had a conversation with me nor did she speak much English. Whenever she wanted me to do something she either pushed my hand or motioned for me to do it instead of talking to me. Customer service is very very important to me being a team leader at Great Clips I know how important it is to keep your customers happy. I also asked for a burgundy and ended up with purple nails and when I told her it wasn't the right color she didn't even react but kept painting that same color on my nails. Several of my nails were crooked and the corners were very sharp. Being in a business myself where I commend customers and encourage them to come back if they're not happy I went back to talk to someone today. I was greeted by the manager Lily who was not only friendly but understanding and completely accommodating to what I wanted. She spoke English she conversed with me and I felt very very comfortable with her. I got the color I wanted the links I wanted and they look beautiful! She never once seemed annoyed or irritated that I had come back to ask for a complete change. She commended me for coming back and wouldn't even take money for a tip! I was pampered at this sweet little nail salon in the Food Maxx mall. Everyone was so nice and very friendly. It also was a nice surprise to learn that some English was spoken. More importantly, "Tom" did a thorough, gentle and professional job on my toenails, spending over an hour, and I'm now so happy with the way my nails look. The salon vibe is peaceful, calm and quiet ... I liked this, too. That being established, let me tell you about Lily. Lily is absolutely hands down incredible. The only drawback is when you have a busy schedule so you schedule appointment with her you'll end up waiting because Lilly will do walk-ins before she does her regular scheduled appointments. So plan on Taking twice as long for a scheduled appointment. If she corrected that I would've gave her five stars. My friend said Lilly did this to her twice- The first time Lily, did Call to say to it would be an extra 10 minutes but when she got there, she ended up waiting 20 minutes. The last time, no call but when she got there. Lily kept saying another 10 minutes, and after 30 minutes, my friend had to leave because she had other matters to attend to... When it comes to this place, the individual who answers the phone doesn't understand time management and the stresses of groups coming in together. This particular day, today on Labor Day, my family of 4 wanted four pedicures, all done at the same time. Understandably, nobody wants to wait on the other. We call and ask to come in around 3pm and if we could all be seated and started at the same time. She says yes, to come in, and even come in earlier. I said we would try. Around 1:45 I called again and asked if we could come in earlier. She said in 30 minutes and I specify "we can all be started at the same time". She said yes. We come in 30minutes later and we were all seated but not started at the same time. Started one of the girls and one of the guys (like the girls have polish, are going to have polish put on... WHY WOULD YOU NOT START THEM FIRST) 15mins in. But apparently the workers were all assigned a certain section but it doesn't make sense with how girls need longer time.. x, y, z. Well by the time the last person gets started, a girl, me, my guy is done. They started my dad before me. And now I am forced to get a smaller package SO EVERYONE ISNT WAITING 45-1hour for me to finish. 0/5 stars. read more

American Nails and Spa is amazing! I have been routinely visiting Lily to have my eyelashes done for about a year and a half. The spa is family run and Lily does a wonderful job on my lashes. She is easy to get an appointment with and they turn out great. I usually only need to get them filled about every 3-4 weeks (depending on my allergies, etc). Everyone is different for how long the extensions last, but Lily has done the best job by far of the multiple places I have gone. The extensions make my make up routine, (or lack of one) super quick and easy. I have enjoyed many pedicures and manicures too! Made appointments 5 days in advance for three full sets and pedicures, got there 15 mins early. At 1130 they started on one sets of nails and had one put their feet in the water for a pedicure. At 1215 I took my feet out of the water cause no one had started on them and left. They other two stayed its now 1239 and they still haven't started on the second person.... So I found this place online it was close by my house and I decided to try bad idea! I would not recommend here!!!!!! I had my nails done previously to coming here and they stayed on for over a month. My nail tech was too busy and one of my nails started to lift so I needed to go asap. Come here for a fill and the work the lady did I think her name was Tina was a horrible job. My nails lifted within 3 days the fill was done poorly and with cheap acrylic. All my nails have lifted and most have broken off not even a week later I'm so mad. It's crazy I went over a month with previous nail job and go get a fill and my nails don't even last 3 days. I have all of about 4 nails left waste of money and time! Wish I tried somewhere else because now my nails look a mess and I just went. Tech said she been doing nails over 20yrs I knew I may have had this problem when I was walking her through applying more acrylic how I wanted it filed and so on. Just wish I got them removed and waited for my nail tech. Lili or LeLe was very nice great conversation wish she was the one that did mine I think I would have had a better experience!
