Her studio is located in the Garden Walk shopping strip in downtown Chico. The wax room itself is cozy and nicely decorated, and she provides wipes for before and a hot towel for after the session. She also sells items in front, but I haven't looked into what they are. Please note this review is not a reflection of the staff, just my personal opinion of the overall experience. The masseuse and esthetician were good however I had a few issues with the location. Located in a business park and very close to a main road right across from a high school. Upon entering the clean waiting room I was greeted and given paperwork to complete. There was a diffuser on, with a pleasant smell however the scent was extremely overwhelming...like hit you in the back of the throat, coughing overwhelming. While I waiting I noted there are two treatment rooms directly off of the waiting room, odd as I've always been to places where the check in/waiting area is separate from any treatment rooms. So close in-fact I could hear another guest talking to her masseuse. I was praying I wouldn't get the other room off the waiting area, but just my luck that was my room. My masseuse was very pleasant and did a good job. I had no issue with the service but the environment was so far from relaxing. Upon entering my room I noticed how bright it was. No overhead light but a lamp on and a large window with sheer drapes which let in a lot of light. This window also received direct sun which made the room very warm on a 100+ degree day. The massage started and I was trying to relax when there was conversation in the waiting room, a man was checking out and speaking very loud, he then excited the spa. There is a literal bell on the door handle which goes off every time someone enter or exits, if that wasn't enough there is an electronic chime that ALSO goes off every time the front door is used. I understand the purpose but it is far from relaxing hearing multiple chimes/bells when the front door is used. The bell/chimes went off multiple times during my service, very distracting. My treatment room shared the front wall of the business which has parking spots a sidewalks length away. I had the joy of hearing every car door open/close, honks from doors being locked and someone's very loud stereo, don't forget the motorcycle rev. The business is close to the road so you hear the traffic going by. I was there on a weekend so the traffic from the high school wasn't bad and most if not all businesses in the business park were closed. I can't imagine how loud it would be during the week. Following my service I was instructed to put on a robe and wait in the waiting area for my next service. I found it uncomfortable siting in my robe in a public waiting area while I held my clothes in my arms. I was then escorted to my next service, I was optimistic as I was taken back into the spa. Just my luck my next room was located with the main wall against the roadway. Thankfully I had a head wrap on and the facial steamer helped mask the sound of the passing traffic. But again, I could still hear the electronic chime every time someone used the from door. My service was good and the esthetician was pleasant and knowledgeable. I booked my appointment the night before and received multiple "reminder" texts the day of which was nice I'm on the fence if I will return or not, if I did it would only be for a facial as the environment is not relaxing for a massage in my opinion. .

Ok I read what you said under my review so if it didn't go through you had all the time in the world to come tell me that I sat at that led light polish table for a very long time I even started to get up & leave & I sat back down because my nails weren't dried not once did you or the lady that did my nails come & tell me that it didn't go through but I'll come in soon when I'm not busy & look through the PayPal account if it says it didn't go through I'll pay you the $38 plus $10 tip & with a real apolog. if I'm in the wrong I'll admit it in any situation I keep it real I don't sugar coat I don't lie or nun of that I'm a grown ass woman & y'all are grown women like I said the girl said what she said about me which is wrong period Im not delusional or crazy I heard what I heard but dont Worry because in about a few days I'll come in & see if I'm right or im wrong if I'm right I don't tip you & I'm never coming back. it don't matter to you because you have lots of customers so I shouldn't matter but I'm just saying y'all got me fucked up seriously & don't get me wrong I'm a very humble person I don't even defend myself in a lot of situations like this but I'm tired of being treated like shit because of some shit im going through if I was her I'd admit I did say something negative about a customer yall full grown women it dont make sense I should of went somewhere else but I needed my nails done that day for an event I had I felt judged & disrespected I accept your apology but i don't like the fact that y'all not owning up to y'all wrong van lee probably wasn't the one who said some negative shit about me but the lady did she who I'm talking about I should of said it at that moment but I didn't want nobody saying "no nobody is talking about you" I wouldn't do anything to you I can't I don't wanna go to jail over no dumb ass arguments I would of just walked out without paying simple since I wasn't tryna pay & when i First came in I even tried telling you van lee but you cut me off before I even finished the sentence so I tried telling the lady doing my nails & she seemed like she didn't wanna listen too so who's fault is that?? Mmm ok but I get it y'all want y'all company to look good I get it I want mines to be a great company too but not make the ones having a hard time paying feel like shit any other business would probably still be polite & not talk shit about them to a customer that's not their business & has nothing to do with them I love everybody but I will not let anybody treat me like shit business or not I deserve respect just like you look at these pictures here where does it say it didn't go through? please show me where it didn't go through y'all just wanna be right that's it read more

Let me just say I never write bad reviews!!! This is my first and I feel like i'm justified after my experience! Honestly not impressed. The whole place is just dysfunctional. I don't know if it's poor management or what. This was my first time there and I was a walk in. A gentleman escorts me to the chair and I sit for 20 minutes or so... no big deal. I could see that they are busy however the same gentleman kept sitting more and more people. I saw people waiting upwards to 40 minutes to have a technician and you could tell they were pretty upset. One lady asked when she was going to see a technician, and the guy said he would get someone soon (she was probably waiting the longest and not being unreasonable) One of the other technicians says along the lines to another "take your time, make her wait 30 minutes more" and started laughing. When it came around to my turn, the technician seemed annoyed. I told him how I had an ingrown nail and asked if he could get it out. He said he would. (i don't expect a technician to remove the ingrown if they aren't comfortable but he seemed pretty confident) Then he continues to drag his tool into my toe and it began to bleed. Instead of stopping he kept going and his co worker kept looking over and they were both giggling. I asked him to stop and he did. Then they continued to giggle and he shook his head. Don't know what any of that meant but it was pretty unsettling. I won't be surprised if my toe gets infected so just beware of that. The service was mediocre nothing amazing after that. The environment was hostel and you can tell the workers have no empathy towards their customers. I've been to many salons in the past and had a way better experience. I'm a very patient person but i will never come here ever again. Take your money elsewhere!!!! read more

I came into Angel's Nails after a long day, looking forward to relaxing during a pedicure--and initially, that's exactly what I got. The environment was calm, and I was just about to fall asleep because I was so comfortable. Unfortunately, that peace was interrupted when a woman came in yelling and causing a scene. She was upset about a phone interaction and began demanding a refund, raising her voice and disrupting everyone in the salon. It was honestly shocking to witness. What stood out to me most, though, was how the staff handled the situation. Despite being yelled at and accused of poor service, they remained calm, respectful, and professional the entire time. They didn't escalate the situation and continued to treat her with patience, even while she complained about everything from customer service to the temperature and smell in the salon. As a customer who was there to relax, the disruption was frustrating--but it was no fault of the staff. They handled a very difficult situation with grace, and that deserves recognition. I've been here before and have always had a great experience. The service is consistently good, and I was very happy with my pedicure. To the team at Angel's Nails: I'm sorry you had to deal with that situation. You handled it professionally, and it did not go unnoticed. Thank you for the great service--I'll definitely be back. read more

I've been going here for acrylics for months and the last 2 times I've been pretty disappointed. /: For the most part they usually do a good job but recently (pink double French tips) my thumb nail snapped off super easily while doing dishes 2 days after getting them done. (It didn't even hurt, that's what makes me think they did a sloppy job.) I went back to get it fixed and none of the colors matched exactly. I've noticed this before, shouldn't the options match what the polish will look like exactly?? The shape is totally off and I feel like she rushed through it because it was free when I would have much rather paid for it to look consistent with the other nails. The time prior to that, (multi-colored picture) all of my nails were COMPLETELY different lengths. I could tell it was a teaching moment with 2 of the nail techs but couldn't understand the language and didn't notice until I got home. I really wish the 2nd nail tech would have let me know and filed them all the be the same as the shortest nail. With the amount of money I have spent here and the very generous tips, you would think they would want to take better care of me. I will be searching for a new nail place in chico. read more

I have just had my Next Gen nails redone here at Angels Nails. The service is always friendly, professional and timely. The Owners are present and ensure that all customers get excellent service and satisfaction, no matter what their needs might be. My whole family has been coming to Angels for more than 3 years now. We celebrate birthdays and Mother's day here with pedicures etc. and they always fit us all in together. They provide free refreshments, current trends and hundreds of colors, finished and options. We had tried several other local salons but none came close to our experience at this top service salon. We appreciate all you do to accommodate us regularly at Angels! I come to this salon to get my nails, toes, and eyelashes done. They do an exceptional job! Today there was an upset customer over miscommunication and I witnessed the owner do everything in her power to make the client leave happy, and I was blown away by how great her customer service was. They are constantly asking if you as a customer are happy with their services, and as a regular customer myself, it is very reassuring! The entire team that works here works very hard to meet the needs of their clients and ensure every customer leaves happy! Without a doubt this is a reason they are always so busy and have so many regular customers! I would highly recommend this salon to anyone! read more

Had to wait over a hour to get my nails done. Once someone helped I had been sitting with my feet in cold water for over an hour. Had my pedicure half way done no filing of my nails or anything. Then when it came to my finger nails she talked me into a full set instead of having them removed and a manicure. I told her I only wanted the tips painted and I wanted them to match my toes. After 3 hours and two employees trying to help her understand, my nails don't match, I finally said just do whatever you want, I just want to leave. They offered me 10% off my next visit. But have no plans of returning. 80 dollars down the drain and I hate my nails! read more

I always recommend them to my friends and co workers. It's not like other places where just one or two of them are really good and the rest are alright. The pedicure was a really bad experience for me. The woman did a good job of clipping, filing and cuticle trimming, and this time the tools did come out of a sealed packet, however, when she started to use the pumice stone, I pointed out that I had a thick callous on my big toe and asked her to pay a little extra attention to that. she started rubbing on it really hard and fast like she was sanding a table.
