I went in with some reference images and she ended up foiling the hair and working very thoroughly to get it done. She also did great on the cut and I feel like a new version of myself! There was one part (likely due to how my hair was parted) that I felt like fell a little funny which I noticed the next day, and she's getting me in to fix it so I really appreciate the continued service and accommodation of a request. The pricing also felt more than fair, especially considering the time it took and the amount of hair I have which meant more product was needed. Overall, it was a great experience! And she left a huge gap between my cuticles & the acrylic so it looks like they've been grown out for 2 weeks & I already need a fill!! I spent $60 & I absolutely hate my nails! I needed a last minute appointment for a facial for extractions, to clear out whiteheads, and blackheads, and some skin rejuvenation before moving out of CA. It's not easy trying to book self-care appointments as a first-time mom who does not have access to daycare for a 2 month old and exclusively breastfeeds. So I scheduled an appointment with Amber as a first time customer and the worst thing happened, I confused the dates of my appointments. Ughhhh...it was a huge oversight and extremely unintentional. I confused the dates. I had a complete panic attack because this meant two things for me, I would be charged for the missed appointment and skin still clogged. Complete devastation. I've waited so long for this appointment (apparently most aestheticians will not provide facials to women in 3rd trimester which is when I initially tried to schedule a facial). I tried to explain this to the owner Amber and of course, she upheld her policy of no exceptions and charged $120 to my debit card for the missed appointment. A girl can try right? I mean my Grandmother passed away suddenly at the age of 76 on 9/3, I have a 2 month old who is exclusively breastfed on demand, I am trying to pack for the big move, and practice self care. No f's given, no grace. Thanks Amber. Thanks a lot. You are such an amazing business owner. I hope that my $120 helps to feed your kids and pay your mortgage. Luckily, Sandra at Drift Spa had a cancellation and an immediate opening for services and I will get a facial today. And if you accidentally miss a scheduled appointment with Sandra, she only charges 50% of the service and creates an unpaid balance for the client to pay before their next visit because she wants you to come back. She does not charge 100% of the service like Amber and then ignore you via text while she charges your debit card on file. Smh. And Sandra would probably not charge you at all because she is a kindhearted compassionate business owner who makes enough money delivering services and selling products so that making an exception here and there does not break her business or her pockets. Kindness = return customers. And she is always booked a few weeks out. Check her out!!
