If i could id rate this 2.5 Got the deal from Groupon. Didn't even make it to the appt so I cant review that part. As for scheduling this person expects you to be understanding to their situation but when it comes to you it's a completely different story. I was scheduled for a patch test and eyelash extensions which both were canceled because she was dealing with something. Which i complete understand life happens. Fast forward just a few days to my PATCH TEST appt, I completely forgot which I understand is my fault, when she contacted me I told her that I had an emergency in the morning and wasn't in town. Immediately she redeemed my Groupon and sent a text for a $25 fee. I was hoping she might be lientiant since she canceled 2 of our appts. As she replied, that 's totally understandable she is only charging me because whenever she needed to cancel she gave a text to her clients including me before hand and she has a strict policy for the client to text 24hrs before. With that being said, I told her that she as well didn't message me 24hrs before canceling with me, but on the same day of our appt. I apologized for arguing and told her I'd pay the fee soon since I know I'm the just the customer. She then replied that she feels like I should find another stylist and she'd reach Groupon to refund my money. By that time I felt that was best so I said "thank you" and please contact me when you get ahold of group customer service. Then she tells me that she'll contact Groupon once I pay her $25! Luckily I contacted them myself and told them it was redeemed even though I didn't show up and they refunded me my money. Would not recommend this place, The person seems unprofessional. You'd think if someone who tells you they're getting alot of no shows would try to hold onto the new customers trying to get in with her. Jennifer was amazing! She was kind enough to book me for a fill on another artist's work. When I got there, she told me that, usually, the state of my lashes required a new set but she was kind enough to only charge me for the fill. She was extremely meticulous and made sure each lash was perfect. We went over tips and tricks to keep my lashes intact for as long as possible. I have been getting my lashes done for three years with multiple different artists and none of them have ever shown as much concern for the upkeep of my lashes as Jennifer did. She also does facials and I am excited to book one with her in the future :) Adorable studio too. I am going to be real here. I have thought about this for two and a half weeks, should I voice my experience? Should I just let it go...? By no means am I writing a "bad" review. I am writing an honest review of my experience. I began my services with Jen Feb 16th. She has rescheduled 4 times at the last minute. I rescheduled once giving her 3 days notice. At two week appts that makes 5 appts, which ALL had to be rescheduled. After the 3rd time she rescheduled me I had a feeling she would do it again, so I made a back up appt with another girl in town since I was going on vacation and I really wanted to have fresh lashes for my trip. I even stressed to Jen that I had no wiggle room in my schedule to reschedule when I pre-booked my touch-up appt in hopes that she would make me (her client) the priority and make the appt. She ensured me she would be there and see me as scheduled... I ended up cancelling the other girl and giving Jen one final chance to make things right for me to continue going to her. Sure enough, just as I predicted she texted me an hour and a half before my appointment to reschedule, even though I already told her I couldn't... Based on my experience with her, she has proven to be flaky and unreliable. I'm relieved to know that it wasn't personal and I wasn't the only one who experienced this in Chico... I was referred to her by one of my clients (who is new to town and using yelp as a tool to find service providers). She shared with me that she too has experienced similar disappointment with Jen being so unreliable, rescheduling her almost just as often...She finally gave up on relying on Jen to keep her appointments and now my client and I now both don't have any lashes... All of this being said, It is incredibly disappointing because Jen does really pretty lashes, and she has a lot of experience. I loved them when they were finally done (it took over two hours for a fill appt). She is seemingly nice, understanding, and probably a good person I'm sure. If you're expecting a 5 star service provider, I wouldn't recommend going to her based on her unreliability.. Sorry Jen, but if I ran my business the way you treated me, I wouldn't have one. Being in the beauty service industry like we are, our clients are the priority and should always come before ourselves. To me, unless something catastrophic has happened, always be there if someone is paying for you to be there. Your client's time is just as valuable as your own, if not more valuable. You having to reschedule 2 times is too many, but can be understood to some degree... but 4?.... come on. I have rescheduled 5 times in 5 years. I need a lash artist who understands my time is valuable, and they make me a priority. Best of luck to you. After reading your response I'm changing my rating to one star. Extremely unprofessional. My fiancé purchased a full set plus facial for me for Valentines Day. I had been wanting to get eyelash extensions for a while. He chose Jennifer due to her high Yelp reviews. From our first appointment I can see why she had so many: she offers free treatments if you leave her a review. Obviously if a girl wants a free treatment and gets one from writing a review which is read by Jennifer, it is going to be positive. As soon as I made an appointment I received an email outlining care of the lashes (which I definitely appreciated), her policy about coming to appointments when you are sick, etc. The first thing she mentioned when I got into the treatment room was that she wanted to tell me about her policy on coming to appointments if you are sick. Or even THINK you MIGHT be getting sick. I let her know I received and thoroughly read the email she sent me. This did not stop her from going into a rant about getting sick so much because of her clients for about 15 minutes, no exaggeration. She was good about giving information on taking care of the extensions. That is one of the only positives I experienced. She took a phone call and MADE a social phone call during my appointment. Sat there talking while I waited. Not an emergency, just social phone calls planning out her evening and catching up with a friend. My eyes burned the entire time, I thought that was normal until I went somewhere else and had no burning whatsoever. She took the tape off too early and my lashes got stuck together (very uncomfortable) and she had to redo some. Some looked weird and uneven still after that so I told her and she tried to fix. I paid her in cash and she could not calculate the amount of change to give back to me. We are talking even easy numbers here. I did it for her and she replied "at least I'm pretty!" Her pricing for your first few fills are good (almost double that of most other places after that) and I didn't know any different since I had never had extensions before so I decided to deal with her unprofessional behavior and make an appt for a fill a few weeks later. She said she was going out of town but would be back a bit before my appt so if I ending up needing them sooner or to move it later just to text her and let her know. Well, I scheduled a trip to Cancun and needed to move my appointment just one or two days. I texted her about a week and a half before my scheduled appt and let her know I was going out of town and could not make my appt. I asked to see if she could do it the day before. She said she was out of town and would text me back later about it. So I waited.....and waited. After 3 or 4 days not hearing back from her I checked in again to ask if she was able to do it or if I should try to find someone else to make an appointment with. Wait a few days...no response. I gave up and LUCKILY someone else was able to fit me in with the day notice I was able to give her. Then Jennifer texts me back finally the day I was leaving for my trip telling me I had an appt with her at 2. Saying maybe there was some confusion and asking me if I meant to cancel it, saying I probably did. Seriously? Come on. I reconfirmed what I told her before and she said she must have read it wrong and hopes I found someone else to do my lashes. Yes, I did. With no thanks to her leaving me barely any time to do so. She used extension glue to glue on individual false lashes. She did not tell me how HORRIBLE this is for your natural lashes. I got a complete explanation about it from the next person I went to who was horrified when she saw it. It blocks areas where your natural lashes are trying to grow and can cause serious issues. Instead of getting a fill my new esthetician had to spend half my scheduled time undoing all the damage Jennifer did. Luckily, this esthetician (who I now go to regularly) discounted me as she was unable to do a complete fill because of this. The place I go now gets horror stories about Jennifer all the time from people who went to her. I won't repeat these as I can only state what I actually experienced but I definitely believe them all. read more

Jennifer definitely gave my lashes her full attention, I have very thin natural lashes. I follow Jennifer's lash instructions and my lashes still look great when I go in for a fill. Jen definitely knows how to work her magic! She is such an angel & lemme tell you why (there's several reasons!): 1. I called to make an appointment with her in hopes I could get my lashes & brows tinted within the week. She was super booked up but she knew I was headed out of town for a little so she scheduled me for early the next week, even after her regular work hours! I don't recommend calling really last minute bc it was not fair of me to expect to be able to get seen so soon, but she made it work! 2. She explains everything in full detail before you get your first lash set, so you know what to expect and the do's and don'ts. She'll answer any questions you have about the process and aftercare. There's no stones left unturned. She also sends out emails before your first appointment so you know how to prepare. All in all, very informative! 3. She is so down to Earth and since we spent a few hours together, that was a major plus! Really easy to talk to so you feel right at home. 4. She is so dedicated to her work, & it truly shows in the final look. Even with a 2hr appointment for your first lash set, she does not let her work slip! You can expect the utmost attention to detail (which is crazy bc after 30 mins of sitting in a chair gluing individual lashes on your individual lashes, I personally would start to drop the ball if I were her. But she gives 100% throughout) Some other small but still nice features: - Her shop is SO cute. Seriously Jen can you come decorate my apartment? - She offers you beverages during your appointment - She'll be completely honest (but still polite) if she doesn't think a certain look will accentuate your features the best way, and will offer an option that might work better - Great location downtown This was my first experience with lash extensions and I'm really glad I found Jen to do them for me! This girl is ON it! She was excellent at communicating with me regarding our appt. and chatted it out with me as to what I was looking for. This was my first time getting eyelash extensions and I was actually a bit nervous and it came out in a terrible case of the giggles. So much so that I asked her to take the headphones off and she just talked to me the entire 90 minutes! The poor girl! :) She is awesome! I love Jennifer! I've been going to her since October for my lashes and am always happy with the way they turn out. Jennifer is super friendly, easy to talk to, and very talented at what she does. The first time I went, I was scared that I might look like a drag queen because my Asian eyes hardly have any lashes to show. My real lashes are short and droop down, even when I try to curl them. So when I visited Jennifer on my first visit & explained to her my concerns, and she listened to them while giving me her input. Jenn does SUCH an amazing job, really takes her time and makes sure you walk out with exactly what you want. I have been a previous client of Jen's when I was having my lashes done! Great job at giving me great lashes and the look I desired however I took a long needed break to let my lashes rejuvenate , and took supplements for hair and nails, suggested by Jen. To make a long story short, lol, I love love ,love the look! I had worn strip lashes in the past but I was not confident enough to apply them correctly, they were usually falling off mid evening, embarrassing !! Jen had told me of a tutorial that she offers where she shows you the proper way to wear lashes. I made an appointment for this Friday night . I would like to write an update about Jen who does then eyelash extensions, if you happen to have a family emergency line say your husband getting stomach cancer like what happened to me, don't expect her to be understanding at all for having to cancel because finances change when one spouce can't work so it was hard to continue to pay for appointments and she didn't take that well at all. Be very careful canceling on her and give her a lot of time otherwise you will get extreme attitude from her trough text message. Had she known that I was dealing with what is going on in peoples personal lives like mine, maybe she would have thought twice about the way she treats her clients that just can't spend that extra money anymore a month. Also she gives her clients free facials To write good reviews so just be careful with people like this. I had a bad vibe from the begining that she could get nasty attitude real fast and I was right.
