I went to get my nails done at tipsy's pai Ld $60 and when I got into The light I noticed spots that had not been painted rough edges. I lost one now after 3 days so I went in to try to get them repainted and repainted And they refuse to honor their work. Wanted to charge me for the repair. I love tipsy nails, they should have a much higher rating. I've been coming here on and off (gotta let the nails breathe & heal once in a while) for the last 3/4 years. I usually always have Kim or Ken do my nails but everyone here is great. I always get a full set of acrylics with cute colors/designs. Kim is amazing, she can do anything you want. She can do really great thin lines and art. I usually just show a Pinterest photo and she gets right to work and she's so fast and quick. I love that. Clean, friendly, beautiful nails, plenty of parking. I stopped in for a mani/pedi before my wedding and was surprised at how pretty the salon was inside! The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful in suggesting colors. They stand by their work and make corrections to ensure that the customer is happy. As a former stylist, I've been too stubborn to pay for a service I can do at home, but after my first experience, they've made a loyal customer out of me. I've started scheduling appointments, but as a walk-in I've never had to wait for more than 5 minutes. I love that they direct everyone to wash their hands as soon as they walk in the door. I am an OCD-germaphobe who likes pretty things, and this is my safe go-to. **I just read through a majority of the other reviews. A lot of the poor reviews are from years ago. Someone complained that the parking lot is dirty- that's Chico. Another said the reviews about Ken aren't real- he's done my nails and they were beautiful. As far as not getting all of the dead skin off of fingers and toes- they're not magicians, they do the best they can without causing damage. The more reviews you have, the harder it is to keep a high rating. It only takes a couple to knock the stars off. read more

Hi there, i don't usually leave reviews but after today i thought i might share my experience. it really sucks when you spend good money on nails and your expectations are not met. The lady who did my nails completely was rushing for no reason, i've never had something like this happen before. She took no time to check to make sure every nail was even or the same, it genuinely terrible .Money doesn't grow on trees so it's nice when people take their time. He has always been able to do any design I have asked for, he works fast, diligently and with focus, is always warm and kind and is patient and eager to make sure I am happy with the end result. So I went to Tipsy nails Aug 23 and got a fill with chrome polish and it was 50.00$ When I got home you could see the white on the edges it looks horrible. I called them and told the owner how bad they looked and why was it so much she said it 40.00$for a fill I said I was there 3 weeks ago and it was 35.00 for a fill. I've been going there since they opened and I will not be going back they seem to just charge what they want to it's different every time! read more

Everyone was super friendly. The salon is clean and nice itself. I came to visit family and we decided to get our nails done. We both got gel manicures and pedicures. I don't know really what happened but it started to chip and peel after a few days of normal wear which has never been my experience with gel polish. Both my toes & my nails have chipped & started to lift to the point I'm going to have them redone at a salon by my own house. Usually, I would not complain about things like this, but it was kind of disappointing considering this is not a cheap thing to do regularly & it was a little treat day for us. (We paid almost $200 in services not including tip to the artists) Maybe it was the prep, maybe it was the polish I don't know but it was discouraging. This salon is about two hours away from my house so it's inconvenient to drive to get it fixed. Unfortunately, I will not be returning & I don't recommend this salon after this experience. read more

I don't know which tech is doing the nice looking nails in the other photos posted on here, but the lady who did my nails did a terrible job. There's literally a bubble under the nail polish on some of my nails, the acrylic application is super uneven, my skin around the nail bed looks more messed up than when I went in, and when I went home I had to finish filing them to make them straight and not jagged. If you decide to go here I hope you have better luck than I did. Not returning to this nail salon. read more

This place was impressive and it leaves me sad that they are in Chico and I was only there for the weekend. If I lived near them, they would definitely be my regular nail spot. Let me tell you about this experience. First, you should know that I've been deprived of any professional nail help for nearly a year. I just hadn't kept up on anything through last winter and then Covid started, so it had been since November for a pedi, and since January for a mani. I had a powerful need y'all. So I walk in (no appointment) and ask about a mani-pedi. A nail tech says they have space for me and asks me to wash my hands. I notice this is the first thing they have every person do when they walk in. Then another nail tech checks my temperature before leading me back to the chair. I know the temperature checking is just security theater, but it still means a lot when a business makes the effort to give people comfort. My nail tech is wearing a mask and a face shield, as are all the other nail techs and all the customers have face masks. Additionally, no two customers were sat next to each other unless they came in together, so there were a lot of empty chairs and plenty of room for distancing. All these positives and I haven't even gotten the mani-pedi yet! Then the nail work started. Despite my poorly cared for nails, my tech was able to complete his task in under an hour, and the quality of the mani-pedi was top notch. It was also only $45 for regular polish. There just weren't any negatives about this experience. I may have to make a nail appointment part of my regular rounds when I visit Chico. read more
