This is my new salon! I have been to 12 different places in Chico and this is by far my FAVORITE! I went in as a walk in and Michelle greeted me and took my right away. She is courteous and friendly and can communicate with me easily which in the past has not been the case. She did an AMAZING job on my nails love love them! Highly recommend this salon! Clean comfortable friendly and efficient!! What more could you want?? Prices are very fair too! Look no further! read more

My two friends and I made an appointment to have pedicures at the same time. When we got there, they took us in right away and seated us and had us start soaking our feet. However, there was only one technician available at the time and he started working on my friend. The other two of us were just sitting soaking our feet until other technicians became available 20 minutes later. The pedicure itself was great, but it sort of felt like they take a factory approach and just take appointments and walk-ins even though no one is necessarily available to do the work at the time. It felt as though they just hope that people are willing to wait. The whole thing just seemed very impersonal to me. read more

Well read all the local reviews and was drawn to this shop. Tucked in small shopping center with adequate parking. I called for pedi appt. They were busy when I arrived. Around 10 min I was seated i. a comfy lounger and had hot water to soak my feet in. The place is very clean and nicely laid out. Gina was my nail tech and she was excellent. I did the $40 spa pedicure and it was excellent. Trimmed and exfoliated and paraffin and hot stones. Great massage. And supper happy with color. I was given the toss-able sandals and placed feet in the light dryer. What I liked a lot was no dremmel. I dislike them and feel they are shortcut to the process. Hope your experience is as positive as mine. read more

Great service and excellent quality. Clean, professional and I appreciate being able to make appointments.

This place is amazing! Friendly people, clean building and equipment. The pedicure massages are incredible!

I'm treating myself. I decided on a mini manicure and a spa pedicure. They do quality work., The vibe is very relaxing.

I got a gel pedicure. Super uneven, some of my toes are only half painted, toenails are weirdly shaped like they didn't try at all, plus the guy commented about me needing to shave my legs like wtf??? Nail polish on my cuticles and skin as well, and he was constantly grabbing my feet/ankles painfully hard. Not to mention the actual nail polish is also extremely uneven. Previously I had gotten a dip manicure done, and 1/2 my nails popped off in a week. Never again. read more

They were able to get me in for same day appointment. I arrived early and was taken to a station within 10 mins. I was able to get the nail color I wanted by showing a photo. The only bummer is they now want only cash as payment and tip, have installed an ATM which feels a bit lackluster quality wise. read more

Maybe on a day that they were not so busy but we were not super impressed.... Ask for Michelle or Tu they both seemed to do good work and I kind of wish we would have had others work on us. I haven't had a pedicure in 2 years and this wasn't what I expected. Sat in the water for 45 mins and then I'm not even sure they cleaned under our nails. I would say for the price there might be better options in Chico but I also am used to the salons in LA. I usually do my own and am probably going to stick to doing my own from now on. Especially when I'm in Chico.... Sad you pay to be pampered and then just don't have a great experience ... Good luck! read more

I took in a elderly lady in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating. The staff were very friendly and did a fantastic job in a timely manner. We will be going back . I recommend it it's a beautiful salon and prices were excellent . Thank you read more

The service was fine. The problem was payment. I went to use my ATM card and they directed me to the ATM machine. (They have the Visa, Mastercard, etc logos on their door). My service was $95 mind you. An older woman and her daughter asked if they had to use the ATM after me and were told that they did not have to use the atm machine, she could swipe her card, even though I was told I need to use it. So I was charged the atm fee, I am unsure why, and it feels dishonest and bad. I won't be back, you can decide for yourself if you want to come to a place like this. I tipped $30 on a $95 bill, in cash, when I presented my card for payment as well. I have no idea what made me a target in this, I hardly spoke at all. read more

Service was great. The person Dove was a great nail person. She was very personable anda talented manicurist.

My sister and another friend and myself went here for some pampering. I had a great pedicure with hot wax and a great foot massage. When it came time for my manicure I had a horrible rushed manicure maybe 25 minutes. Looks say alot. I spent over $ 100. If they want repeat business they really need to take better care of the customers that come in!!!! read more

I've been going to Bliss for years now so I'm bummed to give a bad review. However, I have to say that I won't be going back due to my experience last weekend. As many may know, the owners husband answers phones, greets customers, and does simple nail prep for the other nail techs (l'm honestly under the impression that he's not a licensed) but he did my dip powder set and and I've never had such a bad experience and outcome. I told him what I wanted and showed him the color. What I got was the worst set I've ever had. My nail set have no apex/shape, and the color was pretty far off due to their limited selection. I showed them to the female owner while paying, thinking she would be about quality control, but nope. She said while looking at them, "hmm, yeah I see that, hmm, ok have a good night". It was close to closing time and didn't feel like making a fuss about it so I left. But I have no intention of ever going back now, which is such a bummer. All the other techs who work for them are truly amazing!!! read more

The vibe was ok. The got me in quick but I won't be going back. I paid over 100$ and the quality was the worst. I don't know if Tony just started nails mine were bad. I've been coming here for years and that's not likely to change anytime soon. They make you feel like family here. I usually get the gel manicure (the simple service when they have 3 levels) and it lasts about 2.5 weeks. This is totally worth it for me and they peel off without leaving my nail weak. They don't file down my nail too much before putting it on either which is good. The pedicures are regular or gel and they have super comfy massage chairs as you sit there. I think it's tough to get seated right away so MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE. They'll get you in ASAP but they're super busy and hardworking. PROS: lots of service options for nails CONS: busy read more

Came here on Friday for a full set and some cool designs with two other girls. The people were nice and when I called for an appointment they had one immediately and even didn't have a problem when I needed to push it back. So we were all having our nails done and the lady doing mine obviously didn't speak much English, which I don't mind since I'm pretty quiet myself but asking her questions and telling her what I wanted was difficult. She didn't really listen. She was pretty gentle until she started digging her thin long nails into my cuticle half way through filing my ring fingers. It hurt like crazy but I let it slide since it was the first offence..then she started using this file that once it got covered in a layer of acrylic, it started feeling like she was filing my nails with a chalk board. It was terrible but again I let it slide. She couldn't tapped off the acrylic but she didn't, even though she kept looking at it. In the end I thought my nails looked decent until I REALLY looked. I sh#t you not, not one single one of my nails are the same thickness or shape . Most of them don't even go all the way up to my cuticle. After she filed them to hell for almost an hour, I got switched to the girl doing my designs. There are literally 8 layers of gel polish on my nails now. I asked for a cheetah print switching off with simple polka dots, the cheetah is literally lines barely curved and filled with a horribly bumpy glitter polish. There are lots of little air bubbles in my nails as well. So all in all the under side of my nails aren't filed, my thumb nails aren't glued to my thumb all the way, my nails are uneven, The polish is super bumpy, I didn't get the design I wanted and it took nearly 2 hours. $40 for everything I didn't want. If I'd been paying I would've flipped, but since it was necessary for us to have our nails done for our trip and because they were so nice I kept my mouth shut. Don't make my mistakes! Speak up and be assertive. I should've gotten the hint when two people returned during my appointment to complain about 3 nails and 1 nail cracking and breaking. Won't be returning. read more

Had a wonderful experience. I had the pleasure in being there the same time as Lisa. The bathroom light is a sensor light, so when one presses it on and off multiple times, it's not going to work. We have them at Sierra Nevada. It's energy efficient. My pedicure was wonderful. Loved every minute of it. They have the option for hot wax or scrub but I opted for the hot towel. All the chairs are brand new, which was great. I could see how they could be confusing at first. And I watched a gal politely help Lisa with her remote. After my pedicure I got a gel manicure. Loved my color and the women who did my nails. They even turned in the air while I was there. I mentioned it was hot and they closed the doors and took care of the situation. If you are polite and voice your concerns, you will be taking care of. Golden rule always win. read more

I went to Bliss Nails today and boy was I disappointed! I called and made an appointment telling Tony I wanted a.fill and pedicure and he repeated it back to me. Had me go wash my hand which is something they haven't done the last two times and I wondered then why they hadn't. I ended up with the lady with the glasses who did a terrible job, my nails feel bumpy like they still filings underneath them, my polish doesn't go all the way down so I have a unpainted nail to my cuticle... Looks unfinished. I could have done a better job and I am 65 and losing my eyesight. The it was time for my pedicure which they forgot and had to ask him for it again. He tells me to sit in a certain chair which I did. I sat there for about 15 minutes until the young kid shows up, looks like from school. Eventually he got things together to do this pedicure. Now in the past when I got one they had me soak my feet in very warm water, then the would scrub the dry skin off cut and file my toe nails and paint them, put lotion my feet and legs giving me a short massage. NOT THIS TIME! The kid started removing my old polish, filing my toe nails. Tony had to walk by and tell him to ask if I wanted my nails clipped. He clipped them and started filling them. Mind you I got no warm water. No water at all. Then one of the girls came and took over. I asked why I got no water to soak my feet. She. Looked at me like I was from another planet. Tony comes by and asks me if I wanted a full pedicure well I said I wanted a pedicure! A full real pedicure not the half assed job I was getting as I watched the ladies around me actually getting a pedicure! When I was done Tony charged me a whopping $85.00 for a fill and a pedicure! And I am on a fixed income so this was treating myself today. Won't be that stupid again and go there ever again!! I will find an honest nail salon somewhere in this town! Stay away from here seniors unless you want to be taken to the cleaners! read more

Bliss Nails & Spa - My nails which were not what I paid for! - Nail Salons Near Me - Chico, California

WORST NAILS EVER! Came in here on a whim because my usual spot was booked. Easy parking lot and was greeted immediately upon entering. Asked if they had time for a full set fills and was asked to pick my color and told where to sit. I was selecting my color from a display of bottles in the middle of the salon when I was a little abruptly told "not those - you pick gel" -- and he brought me 3 books of the creepy finger model colors LOL. I was slightly dismayed as every other salon, I'm asked if I want gel or regular polish. I guess here at Bliss you get told what you are getting? I sat down at the workstation where told and the gentleman starts dremmeling away and asking if I had plans for the weekend. Little superficial chitchat that I'm cool with. Soon, another tech comes over with a newly arrived customer who from what I can gather, had an appt she was late for but had requested him specifically. I was asked to move to the next station down where another tech was called to help me. I've never seen a more dismayed employee be called to help someone. She sighed, hemmed and hawed her way to the station where I was moved. She hit my fingertip with the dremmel and when I flinched, she rolled her eyes and held my finger even harder with hers. Ohhhh so this is how its gonna be? She takes a good amount off the tip of my acrylic tip and I say thats good. Well hell...she used that as a starting point and literally shaved off ALL of my existing tips past my existing nail. Down to nubs. We get through all the shaving and I note that she never once flipped nails over to clean out underneath pretty standard at all other salons I think? She paints the nails and THEN decides to file more and shape? Lady...is this your first time or are you just that pissed off that you had to work that you decided to f up at every turn? Its now a week later and my nails are lifting from the tips. Such poor quality work. Well 2 can play that game. Enjoy your .05 tip. I could have left none, but you would have thought I was just cheap. Nope, this is me letting you know what I thought of your work ethic. read more

OMG I get acrylic nails every three weeks so pretty people are so friendly and nice good prices recommend 100%

Made an appointment for 1pm on a Saturday thinking my friend and I would bypass the wait due to the appointment but nope, we still waited 30 mins. We both got gel nails and I asked for nail art, so I paid 30 bucks total which isn't bad. I asked for nail art and got a mediocre flower (ugh) and my nails turned kind of orange when I thought I had picked a coral color. The man that did my nails was nice but sloppy and instead of putting lotion on after my nails were done, he poured cuticle oil all over my hands, moved it around a bit, and handed me a paper towel. He didn't even ask what I wanted, he wouldn't have even done the "design" if I hadn't said anything; but maybe I'm expecting too much by them asking me what I want done. Afterwards I had clear coat all over my fingers ...grr and they are sooo short! The decor is nice but idk it just seems blah, nothing special ....I don't mind spending more money for better work and that's why I probably won't be back. read more

The place is very clean and nicely decorated. The owner does really good work and she's very nice. However, some of the staff to me seem to be inexperienced. I went in with long nails and came out with short ones! The nail polish was not put on nicely and the lady that was working on my nails kept going to the break room and eat!
