i went here for a quick banhmi and boba lunch togo. i got the traditional banh mi and a brown sugar with boba. banh mi is great. the bread is a great balance between crumbly, crunchy and soft enough to bite into easily. the meats were about equal to the veggies. meat was also layered nicely. overall a very good banh mi. the brown sugar fresh milk boba was very sweet, which is preferred by me. i love sweet. service was fast and friendly. they got me out of there in about 10 mins. i got full after half the banh mi so it's very filling.

I have become simply obsessed with Banh mi and anytime I spot a location with great reviews already, it's a must try. This location is in the Kroger shopping strip on west little York and Eldridge. Plenty of dine in space but they also work with Uber eats and doordash. Mobil payment friendly with a great Vietnamese menu selection. Service was quick, store front was clean and very cute! I ordered two sandwiches, beef and crackling pork for my daughter. Did not disappoint! I thought the carrots were a tad sweet but I would definitely have it again. They have several tea and boba options as well. Pricing was relative to other shops I've been to. Between $6-8 per sandwich. I live in the area so will be back and would recommend.

I ordered the Bulgogi Bánh mì and taro smoothie to go. The sandwich was delicious and the smoothie was refreshing. The staff was prompt and friendly

Traditional Bahn mí and mini shrimp egg rolls

Ordered through DoorDash. Food came quick and was still hot. Traditional bahn mí and mini shrimp egg rolls were some of the best I've ever had! Friend had bahn mí for the first time (started her on beef) and she loved it! Definitely will go back again!

What a cute little spot! I had to come by and try one of their teas. The summer peach fruit tea was super good! A new favorite I haven't tried before. Grab s tea and go next door for a mani/pedi. So worth it!

So, there I was, strolling to Kroger like a seasoned bargain hunter, when suddenly, BB Bistro caught my eye. With my lunch break now becoming a mini-adventure, I couldn't resist the temptation of trying something new, especially when it involved a good ol' banh mi sandwich! I got the spicy "crackling pork + a Island tea. The flavor of the sandwich took me by surprise and I was pleasantly impressed. Adding hot sauce made things even spicer. The tea however tasted like tropical soap, I wasn't a fan but I loved the cup. All in all I plan on coming back and trying other things and Ill maybe ask for a recommended tea. My experience at BB Bistro was a positive one. The flavor of the crackling pork banh mi sandwich was outstanding and exceeded my expectations. The combination of tender pork and the spiciness made for a truly delicious meal. Although I didn't enjoy the taste of the Island tea, [coughtasted like tropical soapcough], I wasn't a fan but I appreciated the unique cup it came in and would be open to trying a recommended tea option on my next visit. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cool and relaxed. When we first arrived, there weren't many people, but as we were enjoying our food, more customers started to come in. It seems like BB Bistro experiences a lunch rush between 12 to 2, which is understandable considering the quality of their food. I am definitely planning to return to BB Bistro to explore their other menu items. You have to experience the exceptional flavor of the banh mi sandwich; this alone has made me curious about what other delicious options they have to offer. I'm also interested in trying a different tea, hopefully one that suits my taste buds better. Overall, BB Bistro has left a positive impression on me with their flavorful food and inviting atmosphere. It's a great place for a quick and satisfying meal, especially for those looking to try something different from the usual lunch options.

Traditional Banh Mi - contains various pork cuts and pate, cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon, though missing the heat.

Tldr - quality banh mi shop, has strong tea flavor if you like teas like me. delicious enough and of great value to make a regular visit, though don't replace it for bellaire. The long New and exciting banh mi and tea place, conveniently located near home. Walking in I was greeted with a very warm and homely decor that honestly was nice and inviting. I ordered the traditional banh mi, and a jasmine milk tea with grass jelly. Not sure if intentional, but the baguette was rather cold for my personal preference, though it worked well with what was in it. Meats and veggies were well balanced. This is really all I can say about it. Definitely worth being a local staple though strong recommendation to keep your bellaire banh mi place

Delicious tofu sandwich! Very crispy hot fresh . Super happy with my purchases. I been there several times already finally a review is made .

First off, I am a big fan of Roostar so I went in with some level of comparison in my mind... with that said, the banhmi is delicious. I got the crackling pork banh mi and it is actually crackling pork that's crispy. Friends and I also shared the fancy bulgogi fries and it was an addicting bite each time. They use the thin long french fries (think McDonald's style) in case it matters to anyone. The portion is quite big so it's definitely shareable as a side. The alphabet soup is a personal favorite of mine at Roostar and dare I say that I like this one more. The beef pieces are larger and overall has a more pho-like broth. Overall, this place is great. I live less than 5 minutes from here so it's much closer than Roostar for me. Love that there is a yummy banhmi/boba shop near me. It's always hard to find updated menus for small businesses without websites yet so hope the menus are helpful. The lunch specials are a great deal also (menu pictured).

Really good drinks! Dragon fruity and milk tea

I was surprised to find good drinks on Eldridge ! I have specific spots for each drinks I like but now I can go here which is closer to home and enjoy great drinks. Recommend these drinks. Good job!

You wrap the lettuce around the bánh xèo/bánh khọt and dip it in the fish sauce. I got the bánh khọt and the bò né. Bánh khọt is like a mini, thicker version of bánh xèo and came with nine pieces. Their bánh khọt was crispy, sweet and savory, and went well with the fish sauce. Although the portions initally look small, they are very filling. The bò né was filling and sizzling when it came out. It also came with a side of salad. The meat was tender. I really liked the bánh khọt and would definitely come back for them. It's nice having an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in our area, close to us, so we don't have to make the trek to Bellaire every time we crave some Viet food!

I couldn't have been more wrong. Xeo Yum (#1) as it turns out is one of the most legit Vietnamese places in Midtown serving up some of the city's best banh xeo and banh khot. Located inside of a Food Hall (#2) in the back corner, they have low-key become a destination and without question, the most popular stall in the entire place. The fan base didn't happen overnight but is a direct result of Chef Cuong Nguyen's commitment to quality Vietnamese fare. Banh Xeo is their signature item, which is also known as a sizzling crepe or pancake made of rice flour, tumeric, and coconut milk. The banh xeo holds well, is perfectly crispy, and is nicely stuffed with an assortment of beans sprouts, shrimp, and some of the best grilled pork belly I've had. Another specialty item that doesn't get enough mention is their banh khot, which is similar but has a mini muffin / cupcake like appearance made in a specialty cast iron mold. This version is wonderfully crispy and pairs perfectly with fresh greens and fish sauce with some funk. It is my favorite item here. Some have argued they also serve one of the best bo ne (#3), the Vietnamese version of steak and eggs served in a skillet. The chunks of beef are nice and tender with just a tad of char, served with two fried eggs, and a banh mi baguette with a mix of butter and spare. Normally I think of spam or sausage included with the meats, but Chef Cuong's spin is with cherry tomatoes. It's a different approach and I'm not mad at it. Folks not looking for this can shoot for bo luc lac, aka shaking beef, which is also recommended. The staff here is sweet, hard-working, and very friendly. They also make a mean Vietnamese coffee and offer free iced self-serve water. The prices are what I would expect in a Midtown food hall, and there's plenty of seating. Anyone checking out the food hall need to make Xeo Yum as part of their eating itinerary. __________ (#1) A play on the Vietnamese sizzling crepe, Banh "xeo" and yum" (#2) Previously the Conservatory and now Stestí Food Hall. When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. The restaurant is clean, the owner is very nice, and it's a nice low key space to just enjoy a good meal with friends or family.

Ordered as an appetizer, it was huge and was close to being a meal all by itself. I thought I had over ordered and probably did, but everything was so damn good, I finished it all. 5/5 Coconut coffee - this was my first time trying this.
