    everything biscuit with cream cheese
    Sarah C.

really nice and cosy cafe in the richmond, with vintage decor and even real books. it gives slight cottage core vibes :") I got their everything biscuit with cream cheese ($5.25) and the biscuit, even though untoasted, had a great texture. soft and fluffy inside and quite flavorful. I only wish it had more cream cheese filling.

There's not enough good things to say about Bazaar Cafe. Loved chatting with the barista/ cashier who had invented 2 signature coffee/ teas on the menu. Tried Mt Fuji Mist tea (sprinkled with Hibiscus sugar), the Caramel Rose Latte, and an Oolong bundt cake. Ended up going on a Friday evening, and there was an indie musician performing - very nice vibes. Grab a board game or read a book, or simply get lost in your thoughts in the cafe. Walked out into the backyard and it's the most cozy little garden tucked away in the city and is perfect for hosting events. I left the cafe, wanting to go back there again.

What a lovely neighborhood gem. Friendly and welcoming service. Delicious coffee and one of the best cappuccinos I have tried in a long time. Loved sipping it on their beautiful and serene back patio. Saw lots of pretty birds back there. Tried the breakfast sandwich on one of their housemade biscuits. I added turkey bacon to mine. Definitely recommend 10/10 excellent way to start the day. Will be back to try more items and enjoy their back patio area!

Every third Friday the cafe offers a comedy night starting around 7pm. It's free but donations are appreciated and highly welcomed. We had the grilled cheese and tomato soup with potatoes. It was really good. The lineup of comedians was great and we had a good time.

I always like to stop at Bazaar when I go to SF. I will actually go out to my way to get coffee here after stopping at Arsicault in part because of the service. They are always friendly and in a good mood. However I do love the coffee as well. Added bonus is that they serve Chagaccinos ‍

I really like the vibe a lot of this place. It has an old skool coffee shop from the 90s atmosphere with nooks and crannies with indoor and outdoor seating. I love the outside patio especially on a sunny day (though realistically the Outer Richmond has more foggy days than sunny). The patio is spacious and enjoyable to sit and eat there. They serve pastries, soups, sandwiches, quiche, biscuits and have lots of different tea lattes. I love any place that has a rose latte. My favorite sandwich is the Cape Town which is basically a grilled cheese with onions and tomatoes. Parking around here is extremely difficult. It's definitely more a neighborhood type place. 1 star off because they don't list their prices on the menu which I find very bizarre (pun intended).

First time here. Small place. Pretty empty when I came so food and coffee was quick. I got the Honey Lavendar Latte 9.5/10 Really good. Also got 'The Breakfast' which is a biscuit sandwich 10/10 the biscuit itself is so delish!. I added turkey bacon and avocado to mine. It hit the spot ! And also got a cookie on the side which was decent . Overall , yes I recommend. And I will be back to try more and get that biscuit again

LOVED THIS LITTLE GEM!!! My friend's cat got me a gift certificate here for watching her while her owner was away on vacation. Go Irma, you know what I like - and that is BISCUITS. (in the carb, and "kitty massage" formats) Hubbs and I came here for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast biscuit with egg and hubby got the curry biscuit. We also got a sesame match mini bundt. Let's start with what a cute place this is, inside and the courtyard. Also how sweet and welcoming the staff is - It truly feels like a little neighborhood hangout. They have live music some nights - and I want to come back and check that out. My breakfast buscuit was delicious, but now I want to come back and just try a biscuit warmed with only butter, I bet that is great! They also have a small selection of rotating sweet and savory baked goods, all made in house. Hubbs liked his biscuit (with curry) too - it could have been hotter (but that kinda proved that they do NOT use a microwave, which would have ruined the biscuits texture). Hubbs also says the coffee was great - and that is praise he gives rarely . Another person at a table had grilled cheese and soup - HUGE and looked awesome!!!

The atmosphere of Bazaar is warm and inviting and the owners go out of their way to foster events and activities that create an unmistakable sense of community that can be felt the second you walk through the door. The food and drinks reflect this care too, with the menu reflecting the dynamic nature of the space by rotating from the standard breakfast/lunch menus to event/evening-specific ones (all of them yummy). Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Husband and I had visited and enjoyed the garden the last time we were in the city. Today, I brought my daughter. We were greeted upon entering. The owner seeing that his staff was busy with drink orders jumped onto the register to take our orders. It seems like this place is known for their biscuits because they are only available until they sell out. We already had in mind The Breakfast and the Curry & Biscuit. We had a question about "rocket" as an add on to The Breakfast. It turns out that the Europeans call arugula by that term. I ordered The Breakfast with everything but the bacon and the owner very kindly put the cream cheese sauce and some kind of hot sauce on the side. For my beverage, I wanted the London Fog. The owner recommended oat milk as a milk alternative, but I'm not a fan of the taste of oat milk and went with almond milk. Daughter ordered a Fuijan Fog with oat milk. There was a choice of chicken or zucchini tofu with her Curry & Biscuit and she chose chicken. I knew from my last visit that there were seasonal specialties when it comes to the pastries. I enjoy looking at what is offered in the case and the way the owner talked about them being made in house and his familiarity with the items sealed the purchase of a few items. He suggested the French onion and the cinna which we will need to try next time when we bring the members of the family that like French onion soup and cinnamon. He had a midweek cookie special and we got the last white chocolate cardamom with black currant cookie. I enjoyed the maple dark chocolate bundt last time. It's wheat free and vegan. Daughter wanted to try the black sesame matcha baby bundt. It was such a pleasure having the assistance and menu knowledge of the owner. He started the bag with the pastries to which our breakfast orders were added. The temperatures of the drinks were perfect to drink in the walk home with a little nip in the air. My London Fog with almond milk was excellent. The maple dark chocolate bundt which we took a few bites of in the garden patio was sweet and moist. Father was waiting at home to share The Breakfast with me. With the sauces on the side, I liked adding the slightly spicy sauce to my egg and dabbing some cream sauce on the arugula. Daughter would have liked more of the cheong or orange syrup in her Fuijan latte. We had a good breakfast this morning.

Yes, they have one single-occupant gender neutral restroom.

Did Bazaar Cafe close? I'd be so sad to hear that if it's true.

It's temporary, new owners. They told me they'd be reopening near the end of October...so should be anytime now!

It used to be a traditional coffee shop much like Louis' right above the Sutro Baths. However, early in 2025, French-born chef Alfred Schilling took over and put his stamp on this venerable diner. I thought it might be the ideal spot for Jamie W and me to reunite with our pal Maggie for a Saturday morning breakfast. After all, the three of us used to come here in the early naughts, so it made sense to try the revamped Parisian menu in familiar surroundings. Everything looked the same to me. The hostess was a bit on automatic pilot and seated Jamie and me at a table for two. I had to point out a third person was coming, and it seemed to upset her game plan. Maggie arrived soon after, and she went veggie and ordered the $20 Chèvre Omelet (Photo 9). Presumably inspired by the cuisine of the Loire Valley, the eggs were filled with mixed mushrooms, olives, arugula, and mild goat cheese. Tomato Provençal, herb roasted potatoes, and a crusty slice of rustic bread completed her French countryside dish. Jamie inexplicably went south of the border and ordered the $22 Mexicaine Omelet with avocado, bacon, Monterey Jack, and pico de gallo (Photo 7). Nothing French about it except the name. But it was good Cal-Mex fare. I didn't stay in France either and ventured to Italy with the $22 Florentine Benedict, a pair of poached eggs with sautéed spinach, tomato, and Parmesan atop an English muffin. I was grateful the Meyer lemon hollandaise sauce was on the side because it would've been too much ladled on everything (Photo 10). The double shot of espresso in our $7 Lattes gave us the jolt we needed to survive our urban hike afterward (Photo 8). I'd describe it as more of a rustic take on sourdough--warm, hearty and perfect with the soup. Loved the cozy, laid-back atmosphere and the whole vibe of this place. Unfortunately, I left feeling like the experience simply didn't justify the hype or the price. To start with the positives, the pecan brioche sticky bun was genuinely delicious. At $8 it was hard to justify the price for the size, but the flavor was excellent. The smash potatoes were also very well done, crispy, flavorful, and easily one of the better items we ordered, even if $10 felt steep for the portion. Everything else, however, left us scratching our heads. My in laws ordered the breakfast sandwich, which starts at $17 without the sausage. Adding the sausage brought it to an astonishing $23, and honestly, it was a pretty average breakfast sandwich. We all agreed we could have walked a block over to Devil's Teeth and gotten something larger, more satisfying, and nearly half the price. We also ordered the fried mortadella sandwich, which came in at $18. It tasted fine, but at the end of the day it felt like an expensive deli sandwich that didn't do enough to justify the cost. The biggest disappointment was the Dutch pancake. At $20, we expected something memorable. Instead, it arrived overcooked around the edges while the center was an absolute runny mess. It was easily the weakest dish of the meal. The dining experience itself also felt a bit strange. We were a party of five, and were asked if we'd be willing to share our table in case another group of three came in. I understand restaurants trying to maximize seating, but it made the meal feel less comfortable than we'd hoped. The saving grace of our visit was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. They were the highlight of the experience and made us feel well taken care of despite our disappointment with the food. I can appreciate that Outerlands has built a loyal following over the years, but after this visit I just don't understand the hype. Between the inconsistent execution and the exceptionally high prices, it's difficult for me to justify coming back when there are so many other fantastic brunch spots in the Sunset offering better value.

Nestled in San Francisco, this Michelin-recommended spot (as of 2025) offers a modern, vibrant atmosphere that perfectly matches its inventive menu. We recently hosted a team dinner here with a custom family-style feast, and it was an unforgettable experience that showcased the true spirit of the region's diverse flavors. The Cuisine: The menu is a beautiful tapestry of textures and tastes, drawing inspiration from Greece, Turkey, and Armenia. It's the kind of cooking that feels both rustic and refined--think bold spices, fresh herbs, and a deep respect for quality ingredients. You can taste the history and passion in every dish, from the perfectly charred pita to the complex, layered cocktails. What We Drank: The cocktail program is as creative as the food. I highly recommend the "June Meets the Devil" (a smoky, sweet mix with Highland tequila and caramelized pineapple) or the sparkling "P.S. I Love You." For those skipping alcohol, the "Pomona" is a must-try--it's a clarified Granny Smith and celery concoction that's a bit on the sweeter side, but absolutely delicious and refreshing. The Feast: We started the meal with the "Breaking Bread" platter, and honestly, it was the highlight of the night. The pita was incredibly soft, warm, and clearly freshly made--perfect for scooping up the rich hummus and smoky muhammara. The salads were also a standout. The Fattoush was light and tangy, but the real star was the dish with the house-made cheese. The cheese was creamy, tangy, and elevated the entire plate. For the mains, the Octopus & Sujuk was a crowd-pleaser, with perfectly tender slices of octopus. The Anatolian Eriste was hands-down the best vegetarian dish of the evening. It features thick-cut noodles in a subtle but flavorful sauce, accompanied by a rice and mushroom stuffing that was absolutely divine. The Aleppo Half-Chicken was the only slight miss of the night--the meat was a bit dry for some of us--but the flavor from the sweet pepper glaze was top-tier, saving the dish. The 12-Hour Lamb Shoulder was fall-apart tender and packed with spice. Final Verdict: Dalida is a gem in the SF dining scene. Whether you're here for a special occasion or just a great meal, the level of care and flavor is evident. I'll definitely be back for that pita and the Anatolian Eriste alone!
