Vanessa is a fantastic server! Full of life, happy and super welcoming. We stopped in for a drink on their patio and returned for dinner the same night. Hubby ordered multiple sushi rolls and the rest of us loved the tempura veggie & shrimp dinners which came with soup or salad and rice. Pricing and quality was great!

Bayfront Restaurant was just okay for me. The food itself wasn't bad, but nothing really stood out. Service felt a bit stretched thin, which I'm guessing was because they were understaffed that day. The table layout was kind of awkward too. It didn't feel like the most comfortable setup. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back.

We went here as a special occasion to celebrate my niece graduating from college and reserved a table where they cook the food in front of you. There was a group of 6 of us. We ate from the Teppanyaki menu and loved it. The service was great and it was entertaining and fun. The food was also great. The restaurant is right on the water so it has amazing views! A great restaurant and great experience that left us all with smiles on our faces. Highly recommend!

We had Kala as our server, first time there recommended from someone at our hotel and absolutely 10/10. We got in and were sat immediately, got our orders in within 10 or 15 minutes on what seemed to be a busy night . We were in sort of a rush with only a hour to eat and without saying it our server understood immediately and got us started. We were checked in on perfectly timed and our server had gotten 4 tables at once so the time management skills were very much alive. Our food was quick and ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, we got the lobster roll, Dungeness crab roll, miso soup, jalapeno poppers, and clam chowder. Both rolls absolutely amazing but lobster roll was the favorite of the 2. Miso soup is my favorite already but theirs was amazing!! And the poppers are an absolute must have, not the regular jalapeño and cream cheese I was expecting but shrimp and sauces and other stuff I was too busy enjoying to read the description of it. Overall 10/10 experience, I work in food service and the flow of the staff was something I adore, service- fast, understanding, excellent, food- nothing to say but AMAZING, do wish we knew to sit in the hibachi section though, definitely next time. And ambiance was perfect with an amazing sunset harbour view. Must visit for sure!

We arrived in Eureka after a long drive with growling stomachs! We searched for the best looking restaurant with a great view and settled on the Bayfront restaurant. While the view outside was enjoyable, the inside of the restaurant looked a little dated. So did the waitress uniforms. After we perused the menu, we settled on an edamame app, some sushi rolls, a romaine salad with chicken, and a burger and fries for my daughter. The menu was quite extensive and had a lot of interesting and delicious looking options, especially since they combined sushi/seafood and Italian dishes. It took a while to get the appetizer and I was delivered the wrong salad. During that time, one of the other tables came in and left, I'm assuming because no one came to serve them. The sushi was decent and salad all right, but nothing to write home about. I don't know how they do their fries, but they are some of the best and most interesting I've had. Amazing texture, but way over salted! When we received the bill, one of the items was priced higher than it should have been and some of the items we ordered weren't even on there. Our waitress was friendly, but her mind and attention seemed elsewhere

We came for a quick bite to eat at the end of a fun filled day so neither of us wanted much. I had a phenomenal Black Jack roll, which was Spicy Tuna, Shrimp Tempura & Cucumber Inside. Topped with Seared Ahi, Ponzu Sauce & Tobiko. It was fresh, tasty, and came super fast. I also had a glass of Pinot noir from a local California vineyard. Both were exceptional.

Yummy sushi, friendly helpful service, nice views of the marina full of fishing boats.

We went for dinner after a long day of hiking. We were seated after a few minutes. We had a table next to the window with an amazing view. Our server was great. She took our drink and apps order very quickly. There was a door open near by and she offered to close it because she noticed we were cold. We didn't even have to ask. I was so grateful. Such great service. Our apps and sushi were both great. The only reason why I knocked one star is because the food took a really long time to come out. Other than the long wait for food, our overall experience was great.

The place was pretty busy at 8pm and we sat outside since we had our pup with us. I ordered 3 oysters as an app. I had just read that Humboldt Bay provided a large percentage of the oysters consumed in CA and NV so figured I should order some since we're so close to the source! I was surprised when I slurped it down and it was warm but they were delicious and the sauce on top was very flavorful. (That was my fault for not reading the description well enough; I'm just accustomed to eating oysters chilled) For entree's, I went with the Polenta Veghie lasagna and my husband ordered the Italian Mac n cheese. Both dishes were very good and very filling. I loved the crust of the polenta and the eggplant and cheese filling was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I was impressed with the coziness and warmth of the interior. Great spot for dinner, I'm glad I chose this restaurant!

There's a big party room for meetings or parties, and a game room with arcade games off to the side - accessible by stairs only so my son couldn't go in. In addition to pizza and pasta, they have sandwiches, calzones, and a fresh salad bar, not a ton of toppings but enough of everything I like to make me happy. My family and I ordered a large pizza w/ half sizzling bbq chicken & half Babe's Combo, a spaghetti and AYCE salad bar. The pizza was amazing, I loved the bbq chicken and the crust was super yum. Even my husband commented that the pizza was good and he doesn't usually make comments about pizza unless it's really bad. However, the spaghetti was missing some salt/herbs so it was bland for my personal taste. Salad ingredients were fresh, and I went back about 3 times as my family kept wanting more. The best part about Babe's was the people working here. Everyone was nice, but especially the lady who took my order, she was so so nice! Actually honestly, everyone I've come across in Eureka has been so friendly and kind, from the gas station, to the Target...it's been a great experience interacting with the people here. But the lady at Babe's just made my day, and unfortunately I didn't catch her name, but Babe's is so lucky to have her! There needs to be more Eureka kindness in this world.

We were served right away and the hostess was very nice and located at two top for us. The wait person was lovely and immediately accommodating. The menu was interesting and inviting. I'm including a picture so IYKYK! The waitress had shared all of the specials, and I was intrigued by the flat iron steak option. It was a flat iron steak with marsala mushroom sauce, and mushroom risotto and asparagus. It was delightful! The meat was perfectly cooked and tender with a lot of beef flavor, offset by a rich marsala mushroom sauce. It was perfectly complimented by one of the top mushroom risotto I have had in my life. It was delectable. And the grilled asparagus side paired nicely with the beef and marsala sauce. It even had a little bit of lemon on the asparagus, which is my preference for it! Overall, this is probably in the top five of all of the restaurant meals I've had in my life. My husband had the mixed beef burger with fries. Our server was very pleasant and let us know the special of the day, a halibut dish with a creamy pepper sauce. Debating between that and another dish, we asked her recommendation and she suggested the fish. So we did it. My wife and I traditionally split meals at restaurants, because they generally give you so much food, you leave uncomfortably stuffed. We prefer leaving comfortably satisfied. So we split the Arugula Salad. They bring complementary bread with a garlic butter or basalmic and olive oil. We preferred the basalmic. The garlic butter wasn't very garlicky. But the salad was excellent. They split it for us for a small upcharge. The Halibut was excellent. We had to split it ourselves, but that was not a problem for us. It was served over couscous and was excellent. A bit small to split, so we added a cheesecake dessert with ganache. Very good. I found this restauraunt on Yelp and we reserved it for my birthday dinner on a Saturday night. We sat by the window and had a beautiful view of the sunset and bay. Upon being seated we were served some bread with some whipped butter mixed with some sort of seafood I believed? I forgot, but the butter was delicious. Our first round of bread however, was average at best and was very dense and doughy. The next rounds of bread were significantly better though, so maybe there's an inconsistency with the way they bake their bread in-house. I ordered the seafood penne pasta and my boyfriend ordered the king salmon with risotto. Both were "specials" and were not on the menu. However after digging into reviews here, it seems they are not so much specials since both dishes have been served here for the past 7ish years. Seafood penne pasta: I would rate a 3/5, maybe a 2.5/5. The pasta itself was not al dente which was disappointing. The "star" of this dish was supposed to be the scallop, which was severely undercooked! It was super soft and mushy. The shrimp was alright...some were overcooked. The salmon was also dry. I think the only thing I really enjoyed was the mussels, clams, and the sauce. The sauce had some curry with a small kick to it. This dish was just okay. Escargot: We ordered as our appetizer, I'd give it a 3.5/5! The escargot was a little soft but paired wonderfully with the bread. Creme brûlée: 3/5. Our waitress kindly put a birthday candle on it for my birthday. :) I enjoyed it, and it was very custardy! The downside was that the sugar on top was too burnt. I can't speak much for my boyfriend's dish, I did have a bite of his salmon and it was alright, maybe a bit too salty. The service however was wonderful and our waitress was super kind and helpful. Maybe I would come back to try another dish if I'm back in the area.
