Fl is typically a crap shoot on food and service but you always know that you will be paying at least $100 for two with drinks. With that being said, this trip to Batch was worth it. The hostess was poised, pretty and nice. She was attending to another group, however she did acknowledge my husband and I that she would be back in a minute and she was! We were sat in Cole's section....definitely ask for Cole! He was professional, informative about the menu and all special offerings, i.e. small batches, specialty cocktails and hard soda offerings plus the food menu. My husband ordered the Huntsman (Elk burger) and I ordered the Chicken & Waffles! We shared the cheesesteak app. Fresh & Delish! Huntsman = light smooth texture plus Arugula, mushrooms & Gruyere - perfection! Chicken & Waffles = a multitude of flavors. Not your typical anything! The bacon, the bacon butter, oh that maple syrup and that hot sauce; not what expected but over the top flavors! Drinks = house wines to start, however the drink menu is extensive, creative and this menu draws you in to order something different and new! Blueberry basil mojito is light and refreshing! A must! Homemade Fireball = like cinnamon toast on blast (not like the bottled type) Just a different type for cinnamon lovers! Worth a try. First time here and the price does not match the food. We started with a tasting of their tap speciality cocktails. The ginger beer was the only thing worth mentioning here. Next were the bbq Pork egg rolls they were solid, crispy with some good flavor. Got a Mexican mule for the drink, again the ginger beer was great! For the entree I went with the brisket and short rib burger, not terrible but not anything to write home about. I've been going to batch since they opened and it's one of my favorite places to go whether it's brunch, lunch, dinner or late night drinks. They have an excellent variety of food. There's something for everyone. My particular favorite is the Nashville style chicken boneless wings (with extra pickles and a side of ranch), there are some days where I crave them. The cinnamon French toast crunch is SO GOOD! I'm not usually up for sweets in general, but it's a perfect blend of sweet, savory, and fresh since it's got a lot of blueberries and strawberries. I've seen a few reviews on here complaining about portion sizes, but I have no idea what these people are talking about. The portion sizes are always good and I always leave full. There were a couple things on the menu that I didn't think were too stellar, for instance, I wasn't impressed with the avocado toast because I felt the balsamic overpowered the dish, but it did have a beautiful presentation. I wasn't a fan of their quinoa bowl either. Besides, do you like every single thing at every restaurant you've ever been to? If so, tell me, cause I apparently need to go there. Sometimes service can be a little lacking, I've noticed it more inside seating than outside but nothing to the point of having to go out of my way to complain about it. Plus all the servers have been friendly so it's unlikely that you'd come across one with a shitty attitude. Can't forget to show some love to the drinks. Their drinks are SO GOOD. I wouldn't ordinarily order a whisky drink because I'm not a huge whiskey drinker, HOWEVER my only exception is their toasted pecan whiskey sour. It's amazing. It's flavorful, it's not overpowering, it's light and fresh and is absolutely delicious. They also make a hard root beer that is delicious as well. It also kind of sneaks up on you so pace yourself if you decide to try it. The atmosphere is great. I love how sometimes they have dog brunches and are dog friendly outside. The bar is trendy, the bartenders are all cool and chill. The restrooms are clean and even have the foot lever so you don't have to touch the door handle. The restaurant is clean. It sometimes gets a little too warm inside because the open window concept, but we are in South Florida and other than that, it's usually comfortable. I see a lot of people complaining about the price point, but honestly, go anywhere else and you'll see that the prices are fairly comparable to the location that it's in. All in all, it's a great spot, conveniently located with good food, good drinks and a good vibe. read more

We hosted a happy hour for approximately 50 people Thursday night at Batch Gastro and they exceeded our expectations!! The food was delicious the service was amazing and the overall evening was a huge success!! We were impressed with the cleanliness and COVID measures they have in place. Updated May 27th,2018: we came on a Sunday afternoon it was not raining. When they went to seat us inside it was so hot and muggy. It was cooler outside. They accommodated is to sit outside. It took about 15 minutes for a server to come. Then each time we ordered a drink it took forever. The first time the drinks came out they were wrong. Our server took forever to come back and check on us. They were NOT busy at all! Our food we ordered never came out because she forgot to put it in. Even though she repeated the order back to us when we asked for it. If you see below I already posted a bad review. It's sad because this place is kinda new. We won't be coming back. Not good for happy hour. My husband and I came here for dinner and it wasn't bad. We enjoyed a new place in the area, food and drinks tasted decent. We came here for happy hour thinking since it was a decent bar it would be great. Our fault, we should have looked at the menu. Yes it was half off cocktails and all drinks but if you get a drink on the rocks they charge you extra, if you change one tiny little thing from the menu it's an extra charge. There are only 3 food items on the happy hour menu. If we were told all this when we sat down or when we ordered our food/drinks we wouldn't care at all. But none of it was known until we got the check and it was almost tripled what we were expecting. It's definitely not worth it to come here for happy hour. Service was slow. So this is the 3rd time my wife and I have come to this location and we were very disappointed. The pretzel bits and my wife's root beer were the best part of the meal. The Mac Attack was under cooked (gnocchi was very dense and gummy) I had the short rib burger and it was undercooked and the bun was WAY over toasted. My wife order the Korean BBQ flat bread and our server said that it was a "little" spicy - well we were deceived because it was so spicy that she couldn't eat it and had to get something else - meanwhile, I finished my burger and she had just received her new flat bread. Lastly, at the time of this post, a manager ever came to the table to get feedback or even apologize to my wife. After my wife got her new flatbread there was another small issue with that and at that time the manager came by and addressed all our issues. I'm not saying we're never coming back but these need to be addressed. People need to be more trained on the menu items and how they are prepared as well as chefs need to know that you don't toast a Brioche bun to the point that it's almost burnt! read more

Also there was another server there that was also very helpful amazing energy amazing spirit just making sure we were doing well her name was Haley Just both of them were just amazing. The general manager came up to see if we were doing well his name is Jason again amazing it was so refreshing and we felt very appreciated by everybody there Overall it was an amazing experience I will recommend it for everybody the food is great cauliflower wings oh my God I almost ordered another one just to take home with me I should've. Great time here! They have a wonderful inside and outside dinning area. The menu is nice and unique. I had the chicken and waffles, amazing flavor. They also have an awesome beer menu too. Ok. I don't normally review places but I like this place and wanted to offer my views. On the grand opening, I was the first person in the door because I was that excited to check it out. Pros.... 1) Great ambience 2) Very friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. 3) Nice selection of beers and food Cons.... 1)Too expensive. $14 for a martini. It's is a gastropub one step away from being a sports bar. Burgers range from $14-$22. Grouper Tacos $17. Bucket of 5 beers on Sunday $20, when other bars are charging $12-$15. Really? 2) For love of god, STOP having a line item on the bill called "rocks". It's ice. It creates confusion and no doubt will be questioned by customers. This angers me 3) Why do the live music acts only play until 8pm? You guys push the DJ on the weekend when u should be promoting live music until 10 or 11pm. That's what will make u different in the Delray Marketplace and draw people. I know during the week happy hour is well publicized. And I believe you offer late night weekday specials. But honestly I have work the next day (like everyone else) so rarely am I out after ten on a weeknight. Why no specials on Sat night late. Why not offer specials after 10 pm? A reverse happy hour perhaps. Maybe $10 martini specials. Some food specials. It would absolutely draw more people and the after movie crowd. Instead you charge $14 for a martini. Stupid. I know the height of season is coming soon but there is no reason you can't attract people now. Smarter pricing and specials will help. It's not hard to see business is not as good as it should be. I know the location is not known for a late crowd and Batch is trying to change that. Not gonna happen unless smarter business decisions are made. I do hope the managers at the Delray read Yelp reviews because customers are your lifeline. Without them, u close. I truly like this place but hope some changes are made. Well that's my opinion. Overall the quality of food was poor. This was matched by an inattentive wait staff. We ordered an expensive steak, only to be served a sinewy cut and under-cooked potatoes. The heirloom tomato salad was not palatable. The tomato was mushy, had zero crunch and there was no release of juice. In contrast, the charred brussel sprouts were surprisingly tasty. We spoke with manager. He was listened attentively and responded to our concerns by removing the cost of the salad and discounting the steak by 25%. I hope that management can avert serving poor quality food to others/. Please teach wait staff the essential role of providing customer service. Encourage them to look across the room and observe how customers are doing. Explain the importance of checking in with patrons more often then once every 30 minutes. read more

3.5 stars I gave it four stars because the Herb-Roasted Chicken was good. It was chicken on top of carrot mash with roasted Brussels sprouts. Yummy. Also my father and boyfriend very much enjoyed their beer with their snapper and short rib burger. My mom was upset with her avocado toast which she was super excited about. She said the bread was hard to chew.. and the dressing on top she didn't like. The potato soup was good. They don't carry the normal soda brand so my sister got a "dr.pepper"... it didn't taste like it at all. Tasted more like those frozed blue raspberry icee pops. She couldn't drink it. Their version of Mai Tai tasted nothing like one... It was ok. I am sure to others it might be good but not my fav flavor. My moms drink (Paloma) was way too sweet for her liking) So really the reason for the four stars was because my father and boyfriend very much enjoyed their drinks and food and would go back. Decided to try Batch for dinner tonight after liking the vibe and chill ambience. Sat at the bar and ordered a very delicious French onion soup to start with a rich stock full of yummy caramelized onions and topped with grilled bread and melted cheese (would have liked more cheese but the soup was pretty delicious as is). I saw they had gnocchi mac & cheese which you could add different toppings to. Chose wild mushrooms with it and it was soooo amazing-the sauce was creamy and had a rich Parmesan and Gruyere flavor with the mushrooms providing some extra flavor too. Sophie was so helpful and really sweet, definitely made the experience better. Will definitely come back again for sure! read more

I've been following this place on Instagram just waiting till they were open because the food in Miami looked amazing. Well this location did not disappoint. We came for lunch on a Saturday and because there was a bd party inside we choose to sit outside. It was actually comfortable and even had a breeze. Tony was our waiter, extremely polite and kept us stocked with drinks so the heat didn't bother us. We started with beer cheese and pretzels, which came with stone ground mustard as well. Pretzels were warm and cheese had a good beer flavor, mustard was very flavorful. The brisket & rib burger, slightly uncooked for me but my significant other thoroughly enjoyed it. The flavors were spot on, the caramelized onions and heirloom tomatoes just really made the burger shine. The bun was perfect and the fries were fresh, fried perfectly. I had the chicken and waffles which were cooked to perfection. The waffle was soft and the chicken was tender. Melted in my mouth. It came with syrup, bacon butter and sweet sour sauce, pure delight. The manager Clint stopped by several times to check on us and was genuinely friendly. Unlike those managers that stop by with a rehearsed how's everything but really just give a crap. This place could easily be in East delray but it's nice out west where there is easy parking. Definately worth the trip!! read more

Not really sure how I feel about this place yet. I guess it's okay. The service needs a little help with how to give a better experience. The first time I went I went for the close happy hour and I first ordered the strawberry sangria and the short rib burger with fries, the waitress gave me a white sangria and told me that's the one I ordered when I knew it wasn't bc I don't like white sangria, then the short rib brisket burger was super greasy I couldn't even taste the meat. And lastly I ordered a dirty martini and the waitress came back with a reg martini and no olives or olives juice with it. When I asked her where they were she said oh idk maybe they put them away, I then had to ask another server who walked by to make it dirty and she came back with olives in the martini... like it should be!! The second time I decided to give it another go I went for the reg dinner menu and got a salad which was okay, I've had better. But I did order red wine and got a wine glass with bright orange lip stick stains on it and the waitress said "oh well you know we clean them but people now wear that long wear lipstick that it doesn't come off" sooo then maybe you should polish and check the glass before giving it to a table!! First time here tonight with my girlfriends and we loved it! We made reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. The atmosphere was great, there were TVs everywhere and we enjoyed watching Justify win the Belmont Stakes. The place was buzzing! Our waitress who was very sweet greeted us with in the first few minutes. We all ordered drinks and agreed that they were good. We ordered an appetizer the bite-size pretzels and they were delicious! I stopped into Batch while vising Delray for a day. The restaurant is very nice and looks clean and new. The waitress came over promptly and was very nice and attentive. Batch has a great beer and cocktails selection and while beer prices were reasonable the cocktails were as bit overpriced at $12-$14. It would be one thing if they had some flair or garnish or some unusual element but they're fairly standard. Food wise we started with the loaded truffle cheese fries, the pig & fig flatbread, and the divine swine flatbread. The fries were good but not without problems. There was a bunch of parmesan cheese on top and the flavor combination of parmesan, beer cheese, bacon, truffle, and chives was a mess. Towards the bottom where it was essentially just fries, cheese, and bacon was much more enjoyable. The pig & fig flatbread was decent but also had issues. Neither I or anyone at my table could taste a hint of the apple fig reduction. To me it tasted like just shredded pork and cheese and while good it badly needed the reduction. The divine swine was my favorite of our apps. Salty meat with a smoky mozzarella is a great combination, I would definitely ordered it again. For dinner I had a brisket short rib burger with a side of brussels sprouts. The burger was cooked perfectly and juicy. It was probably a bit under seasoned but overall very good. The brussels sprouts were decent, nothing special but decent. They had a good amount of bacon but could have cooked a bit longer and had a bit more salt. Overall I enjoyed the meal. Batch definitely has potential and hopefully it will keep getting better and better. Up until my visit I was under the impression that west Delray was just for retirees but it's nice to see some new modern places. read more

This cute brunch spot is definitely in my TOP 5 favorite places. The location and set up is literally perfect. Outside is nice but I was able to sit inside this time and I loved it. They had all the TVs on, the bar was lit up, the tables were far enough apart and they had music playing. The overall environment was fun and upbeat. When I went there it was football Sunday, so it was busy and loud, if you're looking for quiet, maybe sit outside. Our server was amazing, she kept my glass of mimosa full and made great recommendations. The food, oh my goodness, literally obsessed! There was not one thing that I did not like . We ordered the avocado toast to start! It was so delicious and the presentation was beautiful. For the main course we ordered chicken and waffles, Mac and cheese and a third dish which was just bacon eggs, toast and potatoes. Everything came out perfectly and my taste buds were jumping.
