This review is based on the quality of one of my cakes. This is the first time I came to this location, usually I would go to the one on Valley. I thought I would give this location a try because it is closer to home. I came in on Tuesday, July 8 to order 2 cakes and I told them I would like to have both cakes by Sunday, July 13. The employee who helped me with the ordering process is Wilson. Everything was fine but I thought it was odd how he wanted to charge me an extra $4 on one of the cakes just because it was a chocolate flavor. I ordered both cakes in size 1/6. He told me they had to charge extra $4 because they do not make chocolate flavor as often as vanilla, strawberry, cookie & cream (oreo), blah blah blah. I did not mind paying extra but I mean chocolate is such a basic flavor. The problem is when I came to pick up both cakes. It was a different employee and he opened the two boxes for me to see. One cake is in a blue frosting and the other is in red, just like I instructed. However, the one cake with red frosting has blue frosting erase marks behind it (2 pictures attached for you all to see). I looked at the employee and I was about to question what happened then he told me right away that the decorator got confused between 2 cakes and wrote blue frosting on the cake that is supposed to have red frosting. The cake decorator took it off and put red frosting on afterward. Okay, I am a paying customer and I expect to pick up 2 beautiful custom order cakes. The fact that the cake decorator got confused and made a mistake is not my problem. They could have fixed the cake in a better way. I gave you guys DAYS to make these 2 cakes. I am just disappointed with the result. This is a special occasion (birthday) and it just doesn't look nice, know what I mean? The employee asked me if I was okay with it and OF COURSE I AM NOT OKAY! Would you like to receive a birthday cake like this? And I know that even if I complained on the spot, they cannot fix my cake instantly. I was running out of time and I gave them days. I did my part and received a messed up cake. Sure the cake will be eaten anyway but the special feeling isn't there. In the future, please do go an extra mile on correcting YOUR mistake. read more

Baskin/Robbins at Magnolia/Talbert offers wonderful customer service while serving favorite 31 flavors of ice cream.

I'm finding that if you order a SHAKE (milkshake) the amount of ice cream used to create the shake is nearly 2-3x scoops, so the volume of ice cream used and you receive is greater than the amount for a single or double scoop, but the cost isn't that much higher than a double scoop. With that, it's the best bang for the buck in many ways, 'tho a lot more calories and sugar to take in too if you're watching what you eat. I like Baskin - Robbins and their 31 Flavors, 'tho the prices can be a tad higher than getting ice cream at the supermarket, and Baskin Robins also sells pre-packed quarts at their store (and pre-packed pints at retail, like Albertsons), there's something fun about getting a single cone or serving once in a while and to treat yourself and others to that indulgence. This is a good location and the service was nice and parking was easy to secure. read more

Hadn't tried this place out but glad I stopped by! On a very hot spring day, my little sister and I decided to get some ice cream. Seeing that this is a lot closer than going to cold stones (and cheaper) I decided to head there to try it out. The service was extremely friendly and I was happy to be informed on all there deals and promotions going on at the time. The clerk at the time showed me the lay out of all their flavor a and even made some new suggestions I hadn't even heard of! We made it simple with just 2 scoops of vanilla for her and an Oreo/Reese's milkshake for myself. No problem saying this place is an easy stop for a quick scoop of ice cream. One tough thing about it is that it is directly on a corner and there is not much parking. Street parking only from what I saw, and the street directly parallel to the building has 2 "20 minute only" parking spots. read more

It was very disappointing to come into this Baskin Robbins today and I have been coming here plenty of times It was 11:03 on my watch and the two people inside didn't even seem to notice I was standing at the door. This store has a terrible pos cashier and management system...... I had to wait forty minutes just to get a refund for ice cream that was charged to my debit card because I was making a delivery and decided to buy ice cream for myself. The cashier instead of listening to me, charged both transactions to my personal debit card instead of charging one on doordash, and one on my personal debit card. Since they dont have a simple and easy way to fix this transaction, I'm having to wait 45 mins to get this fixed... So, my doordash delivery got cancelled, which means a bad rating for me the driver, and customer gets no ice cream. Second now im here just wasting my time when I should be working making other doordash deliveries..... This company needs to provide cashier's with more power/responsibilities at the register. Just to be clear, the employee, did the best he could, its not his fault. I blame the management and owner, plus baskin robins for this issue. I work at a local business and so I try to support other local businesses. I went in here to purchase $5 gift cards for my graduating class. As the girl was getting them, another worker asks me if I'm paying cash. I told him that I wanted to use my atm card. He said he couldn't do it, that the policy was that I couldn't charge more than $20. I asked if he could do separate transactions, and he again refused. He told me I could call the store in Rosemead to see if if they could do it, but that he would not. Brian is the man! Great customer service at this location. Everyone is kind and welcoming. I came in the other day and got two shakes and purchased a quart of ice cream. Unfortunately I had to make a delivery right after coming in so I asked Brian if I could possibly leave the quart until I was done delivering and come back. He said no problem and actually left it in a freezer in the back for me. I came two hours later and sure enough he had it for me. I like this baskin robbin vs. the one in TC (that is a combo of Togos/31 Flavors)...Always clean and well kept. Enough inside tables to sit and enjoy as a family, date or solo. The workers are always helpful when it comes to picking out cakes. (I come here alot to get birthday cakes for family). I really don't know if this spot just lost hope and hired random people but how rude! Forgot to mention in my last review that the girl who gave us so little ice cream in the hand packed container was sweeping the floors and didn't wash her hands first. I asked her to wash her hands nicely and she did, not sure if that offended her. I'm upgrading the rating because we went back and told the store manager what happened. He was nice and offered a new hand packed container. I told him just give us half, which was fair, I didn't want to take advantage of them. Plus we bought more ice cream. The rating isn't higher because the manager said the girl was relatively new. This tells me the store has poor training, especially on hygiene. Went here tonight with a Bogo coupon to try the soft serve and boy was I impressed. The soft serve was actually pretty creamy and the serving was pretty generous for a 2.29 cone. The cone was a EAT-IT-ALL cake cone and it was not one of those cheap get soggy deals. This was firm, fresh and honeycombed to provide strength.
