I opted to do the drive through as I didn't see any available street parking right in front of the ice cream shop. Luckily the drive through line was very short when I came by Tuesday evening around 6 pm. The first confusing thing for me was how to get into the drive through line, as I was coming from the wrong direction. There were no signs for this. Eventually I pulled up and asked one of the workers, and she said the drive through line entrance is on Neal St, coming from the First St direction. The second confusing thing was that there wasn't much of a menu for the drive through. There's just one small sign with a list of their everyday flavors and another one with some new flavors listed, but that was it. It was a spontaneous decision to come here, but had I known, I would've done more research on available flavors. No prices were listed either. After coming, I looked on their IG page and saw a bunch more flavors featured that would've been fun to try. Oh well. I ended up going the most basic route with a small vanilla soft serve. It was ready for me when I pulled up to the inside. The vanilla soft serve was delicious! I'm used to "lighter" soft serves from the fast food chains, but the ice cream here is creamier and more dense, which I absolutely loved. It felt like it had more substance to it. Plus you can't beat the price! It was only $3.50 for a small, which was already very large.

We got the soft serve in the cup and with the taiyaki. They are all about the banana flavor right now so we got the soft serve mix with that and the cookies and cream. It was really good! Can't wait to come to somisomi again the next time we're in town.

The last few times I've been here, the wait has been long as, each time, I saw only one employee waiting on a long line of customers. The last time I was there, there were actually two employees behind the counter but one waited on only a couple of customers while the second employee moved so slowly while waiting on everyone else. As a woman ahead of me was waited on, I heard her say to one employee, "I've been waiting 30 mins." The employee replied that there's nothing she can do about it. Customer: "you can move faster." Neither employee replied but they smirked at each other. So disrespectful. I had waited 20 minutes and found it hard to believe that anyone could move as slowly as that employee. Any slower and rigor mortis would have set in. Then, when the cone was handed to me, I thought the employee had made a mistake as very little ice cream sat on the cone. This place is never generous with their serving size but this was ridiculous. I told her I had ordered two scoops and she replied that that was two scoops. After that very long wait, and the agony of watching one employee moving in extreme slow motion and the other not waiting on hardly anyone, I was expected to pay $5.89 for a couple of tablespoons of ice cream. I was ready to cut my losses and leave but the other employee agreed that it wasn't enough and added more to the cone. Each time I have been here, I have been disappointed in the value and the wait due to understaffing. Tillamook ice cream is the same price, and often on sale for less, for about a gallon at a grocery store. It's very creamy, delicious ice cream that one doesn't have to wait in line for or deal with employees who don't understand the value of customer service. read more

If I can give this place a negative, I would. This is the worst place with the worst service I've ever been to my whole life!!!! The manager who looked like the janitor who claimed he's the owner, Steve Chandler, has an attitude and an IQ of 0. My bf and I were on our way to Tofu House in Pleasanton to celebrate my mom's b-day when we decided to buy her an ice cream cake from BR. We went to look at the ice cream cakes in the freezer, but the freezer was locked. We found this very odd. Who the hell locks an ice cream freezer? Anyways, so bf told idiot Steve if he can take a look at his options and Steve refused to unlock the freezer and let us have a look. He told us to tell him what he wants and he will see if he has it. We told him we want a cake with half layer vanilla ice cream and half layer chocolate ice cream. He told us he doesn't have what we wanted. We started getting frustrated because this idiot made it so hard for us to pick what we want. Instead of unlocking the freezer, he gave us a hard time! We told him this was the worst service we've ever had and the idiot told us to leave the store! I agree with Jane E. They discriminate people under the age of 30 and are probably racist. So sad...i was just there with my elder mother and her grandchild and qe are latin. We came in and right behind us was a couple of Caucasian husband and wife. There was one of the aerver one of the asian girls working there. We came in she was about to ask us if she can help us. But aa soon as she saw the white couple she didn't even finish asking us . when she turned to the couple. The couple weren't even ready so another white lady came in and right away she charged at her. So i had to get upset and told her that it was RACIST what she was doing. I asked for the manager which she never got him/her. I could've made a scene but i know we all need a job. What iam really saying why being RACIST. Every single one of us excluding Native Indians are immigrants. Every race we have come from different placea. But in Pleasanton even in these days we have to deal with such ugliness. This place has a ridiculous policy. The two employees working wore their face mask as chin guards , face completely uncovered, which would not a been an issue if they were not hypocrites about it. when I went to sit down with my daughters, they told me that due to COVID they do not allow indoor seating. I mean , make up your mind - either COVID is an issue or it's not . If Baskin Robin has serious concerns, then practice what you preach and have your employees wear a face mask. But don't say seating indoors is a bigger risk. read more

Well, Pleasanton BR gets one star because the ice cream is great. I mean, honestly you just can't mess that up. Unfortunately, it has the worst customer service of any BR I have ever visited. Simple tasks such as ordering birthday cakes becomes a fiasco! I wish I could say that it was just once that I had the problem, but time and time again they have messed up my order or just been a pain to deal with. Thank goodness for BR in Dublin! I splurged on a sundae. I know they only use kid's scoops in their sundaes. What I was served wasn't less than what they sell at many BRs (small), but it is by far the most expensive: $6.09. I'm an African American man, and not once did I feel singled out or mistreated. Some of these complaints sound less like "bad customer service" and more like entitlement. Businesses are allowed to verify promotions. That's not discrimination, that's basic fraud prevention. So thank you to Nothing Bundt Cakes for continuing to offer a generous birthday gift while still having standards in place. Apparently asking adults to show proof of birthdate is now controversial.

Came here for the first time in person today! I had seen on both tik tok and Instagram all about…read morethis pumpkin bread and had to give it a try! I was worried there wouldn't be any left but there was actually plenty in store! I came around 10am 2 hours after opening. I got 3 for myself and friends. The pumpkin bread is very soft and the pumpkin stuff in the middle of it is delicious I liked it! It was around $7 for 3 of them. The person working there was nice and took my order quickly. They have lots of other pastries and drinks available. Lots of seating and parking, clean and modern store. Would come back!
