We got there and the young lady who helped us was friendly and more than happy to help us with some tastings first before purchasing. I ended up getting 1 scoop but I split the rose petal and guava ice cream while the hubby got a split of Ferrero and blueberry cheesecake. I grew tired of typical ice cream flavors and I was so happy to find this place serves up unique flavors! The guava was refreshing and the rose petal was delicate. The texture was perfect as well. They were generous with the scoops which is great! I can't wait to come back here and bring my family and try other flavors. Overall customer service was fast and friendly. The flavors are pretty decent, as good as you can get at any Indian ice cream spot so nothing out of the world. The quantity is extremely poor for the price you pay. Does not give you the value for money. Their malai kulfi ice cream is nearly always out of stock. The staff is not the friendliest as compared to if you go to other spots in Fremont or other Indian ice cream spots. Nothing fancy about their ambience either. I am honestly not a fan of places that copy brand-names even though they told me they are not affiliated when I inquired. They were out of the falooda ice cream. Absolutely disappointing experience at Kwality Ice Cream tonight. We have been coming here for quite some time. Whenever we are in the Bay Area and heading back home to the Central Valley, we often make it a point to stop here because we genuinely like their ice cream and Desi flavors. After tonight, we will not be back. My wife and mother-in-law were waiting in the car while my daughter and I went inside. We ordered two mango ice creams for them, my daughter got two scoops, and I was planning to get a fourth cup to take home for my father-in-law. While the gentleman was scooping the mango ice creams, I noticed the paan flavor. I had almost decided on gulab jamun for my father-in-law, but I simply asked if I could taste the paan flavor before deciding. His response? "We don't give samples after 9:45." Seriously? It was around 9:55, and yes, they close at 10:00. But the store was still OPEN. There were other customers inside. We were already PAYING CUSTOMERS buying multiple ice creams, and I was literally trying to decide on ANOTHER ice cream to purchase. I have been to Baskin-Robbins, Cold Stone, and countless other ice cream shops, and I have never heard of a rule that you cannot sample a flavor after 9:45. What exactly changes at 9:45? Does giving someone a tiny taste of ice cream suddenly become impossible? And to be clear, this is NOT about getting something for free. It is about customer service. Sampling a flavor before buying it is a completely normal part of going to an ice cream shop especially when you sell unique flavors like paan and gulab jamun. The whole interaction felt rude, dismissive, and honestly humiliating. I was standing there as a paying customer, already purchasing three ice creams and trying to buy a fourth, yet I was made to feel like asking for a tiny sample was somehow an unreasonable inconvenience. When I went to pay, a very nice young lady asked if I had found everything okay. I told her no that I had wanted to order another ice cream, but after being refused a sample, I was no longer interested. She graciously offered to give me the sample herself. I declined. At that point, it was no longer about tasting the ice cream. Kwality Ice Cream has a good product. That is why we kept coming back. But a good product does not excuse poor customer service. You lost a repeat customer over a tiny sample not because I desperately needed a free taste of ice cream, but because of the attitude and the ridiculous way a paying customer was treated. I was feeling like getting some ice cream while in the area, so I stopped by Kwality. Kudos to the worker who was friendly and allowed us to sample many different flavors without limit. I noted they have rose petal, guava, and numerous nut based flavors (pistachios, almonds etc.) and a lot of the flavors contain cardamom or saffron; I appreciate that the flavor labels included a little bit of info about the main ingredients. I ended up going for a kids scoop of mawa kulfi (they have a separate malai kulfi as well). It was super buttery and creamy, you would like it if you are a dairy lover. If you get the small size (the next largest after kids scoop), then you can pick 2 flavors. I thought it was a decent quantity for kids scoop. read more

I went there to try Falooda, and they didn't disappoint. They have an mazing selection of the kulfis that you can try in your Falooda. I tried rose and malai. And it was delicious. Kwality Ice Cream is unlike any other ice cream place in the area. They offer ice cream made without egg and unique Indian-inspired ice cream flavors. There were a lot of interesting flavors I had never tried before. I think it would be helpful to include English translations with the more unique flavors, but maybe that's like trying to translate a Chinese menu into English (lol). Thankfully, the staff were patient with me and happy to translate for me. I stopped myself at three since I didn't want to overindulge. Ended up going with the chikoo (sapote) and rose petal flavors. My boyfriend got the black currant and malai kulfi (milk and cardamom) flavors. Seating was sparse with one sole table inside (probably because they opened during COVID), so we opted to sit outside. It was a pretty warm day, so our ice cream started melting pretty fast the moment we stepped outside. The chikoo flavor was quite nice. The rose petal flavor ended up being too overpowering for me, but if you like rose flavor, I'd say go for it. The black currant tasted like a a blueberry yogurt, and I was definitely a fan of their malai kulfi (though my stomach wasn't). Wondering how much dairy and cream they put into their ice cream, but no regrets here. They also sell pints of their ice cream and when you order ice cream, they cover it up, which makes it easy to take home and enjoy! Nostalgia kicked in when I entered Kwality ice cream this week for the first time. All the flavors that I have missed after moving to the states, all my favorite flavors...all in one place!! My mood just brightened after seeing the options. Tried these scoops- Lychee, the best of all and my fav, Black currant my second favorite, Sitapal/custard apple, Mango pomegranate. The quality might be equivalent to the ice creams that you get in a supermarket, but these flavors are definitely not available easily. Boy I have missed and craved for them so much! Definitely a must try!! And next time I'm gonna buy 2-3 scoops of just Lychee and a combination cup of other. PS: I saw a coffee flavor for coffee lovers, unlike me. Yum! Came here a few weeks ago as my friend and I were in the area and wanted ice cream. Kwality was open later than other ice cream shops around, so it was definitely a plus. Plenty of parking too, which makes coming here convenient. Kwality offers a bunch of classic flavors like vanilla and cookies and cream, and also unique flavors like guava, as well as a bunch of Indian flavors that I am unfamiliar with. My friend and I both got the cookies and cream and guava. Cookies and cream was pretty good but was a little too sweet for my taste, but the guava was just right - with the right amount of acidity/sour with sweetness from sugar. Wandered into this Ice Cream shop that looks very unsuspecting as we were waiting for our pizza at another store. They have many Indian based flavors, the person working was very nice and let us sample all the ice cream that we wanted! We ended up getting 2 pints of Ice Cream. Yuck and rude. Ice cream flavors were overly sweet and not your traditional flavors. This is mainly an Indian inspired creamery so you need to know that before you go here. While I am a huge fan of trying new things and love cuisines from all over, this place was just not good. The ice cream consistency was also strange and too runny. The worst part of this experience was the service. I came in with three young kids who obviously aren't familiar with the flavors. We asked to try a few of the flavors and the person who worked there said they didn't allow sampling. I had noticed that he had provided samples to a number of people ahead of us. There were tons of people with the tiny spoons in their hands all throughout the store: I told him that and he said that he stopped sampling for the day. I found that to be very suspect and frankly biased. We then had to order full size orders of random flavors to try them. We ordered four different flavors and each one the kids hated more. We ended up leaving, paying for 4 cones and threw all of the away as we walked out. For kids to turn down ice cream should say a lot about this. Finally the store itself smelled like grease. Highlights of our visit: -- they are generous with samples, except folks need to step outside to try them because masks are mandatory indoors. -- they don't have some classic flavors (like lemon) but there are a lot of the more exotic ones available - like butterscotch and coconut.
