They made my request, but it was poorly made, and had a real bad taste, like something was stale. OMG this place is awesome! The ice cream is always delicious, but I had the opportunity to meet the new owners and they were super personable and welcoming. They have kids themselves so I think they will make this BR great again! The place is very clean and friendly staff too. Brent, the owner, talked about bringing back family nights, and I think they are even dropping prices on some of the items on the menu. Doesn't get better than that! I read the reviews before I went and was not sure what I was going to find. The man working behind the counter, the owner's adult son, was a bit of a strange duck, but was very nice and very talkative. Didn't really like his commentary on flavors I wanted to try (or that he wanted me to try) but he was just trying to be helpful. As for the ice cream, it was a bit icy. Of course it tasted good, it is Baskin Robbins after all. However, guessing this location, especially in February, doesn't get as much traffic as other locations, the ice cream seemed old like there wasn't a lot of turnover of product. I'll still go back the next time I have a specific craving for Baskin Robbins Jamoca Almond Fudge, but probably not if I am looking for any ice cream treat. read more

Zero stars. Comments from a female server whose name starts with a G and ends with an F were unacceptable. I see the new owners want to turn this place around given the poor reviews here, but by staffing your team with rude people, that's not going to happen. This employee, while scooping ice cream for another customer, made snarky comments about my 3-yr old daughter's crying while we were waiting to be served. The employee pounded on the chocolate ice cream as she scooped it for the other customer, all the while saying to herself, "Whine whine whine, these kids, I can't stand whiny kids" or something to that effect. She looked rather bothered while saying it too. I left with the kids after that. My kids didn't understand why we were leaving and I explained to them that we're not supporting a business where employees are rude to customers, especially to kids. Ice cream shops are supposed to be kid-friendly but all we got here was rudeness. Waste of time here but at least we didn't waste our money. read more

Seriously, have you ever had any ice cream better than the peanut butter/chocolate? It's the same flavor and taste I remember having as a kid! As everybody else mentioned, the service here was horrible and offer, though hanging right from the roof was not honored. 1. Misleading advertising - "buy 2 or more scoops get A Fresh-baked waffle cone free" ad hanging from the ceiling - however lady behind the counter informs its not for waffle cones with chocolate (though no message excluding it). I ask my daughter to pick another scoop and asked the lady for a plain waffle cone - the lady again repeats - that offer is for a double scoop. I asked her to see the ad that it does not mention double but 2 scoops. The lady said she cant help it as it is company ad and has been told to offer free waffle only for a double scoop not two scoops. This construes to misleading advertising. 2. Very rude behavior by another old lady and her younger employee - noticed that others have a similar experience when I came her to post. Should have checked yelp before coming here. I will need to file a formal complaint to the corporate office. read more

I am in shock that this place got such great reviews! The manager and owners are rude to anyone under the age of 30. They're also coupon Nazis. If it doesn't have their address on it they won't accept it. And whats up with the no $1 scoop night? Every Baskin Robbins does it except them. You ask them why and they'll send you away with some snarky comment. The manager, Steve Jr. (they keep it in the family) likes to keep his white shaggy dog in the area where they keep the cups. So, if you find a hair in your ice cream chances are its the dumb dog's. I filed a complaint with the health department in regards to this. Also, did anyone notice how pricey the ice cream is. Hey, Safeway has jamoca ice cream too! Save your money! They also treat their employees with less respect than the customers (as if it were possible). I heard the old lady call some poor high school kid stupid right in front of me! I have to admit the ice cream is great, but honestly each location gets it from the same truck. I'll fork over the extra gas money and drive to the one in Dublin before I eat a scoop of ice cream with dog hair in it. read more

One of their freezers was recently replaced so a third of their 31 flavors weren't available. Not their fault, didn't factor that into the rating. The young man that helped me was very kind and is the only reason I'm giving a two star rating. I think he was new, his name tag was handwritten. I asked if they had any waffle cones, as there were none in the display case. He asked an older woman, and she replied (to the kid): "Does it look like we have any more waffle cones?" The kid gave me an apologetic look and scooped my ice cream. I had to wait to pay because they were doing something with the register. Rating would have been higher without the snarky commentary. I ate here today and was very satisfied with the food and service. One employee in particular named Julia was a lot of fun! She went out of her way to make a connection with me and seemed very happy to be there! It was very clean inside and the ice cream was delicious! Horrible service. Asked for options that would be between a one scoop and two scoop. She said she could do a one scoop and a kids scoop. Went to pay and she charged all individually which was $1.50 more than a double scoop. Tried telling her and she didn't get it and had no intent on making it right. The owner, Steve Chandler, is the rudest, most unprofessional manager I have ever dealt with. I drove up at 9:53 p.m on a Saturday and when I almost made it to the door a girl who worked there quickly locked the door and turned around. When I pulled on the door, the other girl behind the counter shook her head no at me. I thought it was terrible that the open sign was still on and it wasn't 10pm, so I thought I should contact the manager the following day. When I spoke to Steve Chandler, I didn't feel satisfied by his response, so I thought I should file a complaint online. 10 minutes later, Steve Chandler called me back and began yelling at me and was unbelievably DISPRECTFUL! I couldn't believe the tone in his voice and how defensive he was. I was looking for a simple apology and that he would look into things further; however, he must have felt the need to fight with somebody and I was his closest target, because his tone was totally uncalled for. I would never return to the BR in Pleasanton and would advise everyone to stay away. The owner is clearly not playing with a full deck and probably isn't a safe place to bring your family!!! STEVE CHANDLER needs to find a new career that isn't working with the public. read more

This was hands down the worst customer service I have ever had in my life. The creepy owner was so rude that she made my young son cry. I don't know how a business can treat their customers with such hatred. Needless to say I will never go back. I have never posted a negative review before but this experience was so terrible that I have already called Baskin Robbins headquarters and am now posting this. This has to be the worst Baskin-Robbins I have ever been to. Horrible, unfriendly and could care less employees I have ever encountered. How does this place stay in business! I had to wait 10 minutes for the girl to finally acknowledge I was there, then was told I would be helped after she was done washing the dishes, very rude. Had to walk out on my last trip there and go to the store in Dublin, night and day difference between the two stores. They have lost me as a customer. I give this store a 1 because my order of a strawberry parfait was just disappointing. Especially for the price! Those strawberries taste and feel like glue! They totally ruined my soft serve, the parfaits at McDonald's are way better and yet only a dollar! Also, the employees were not friendly what so ever. Very unfriendly service. The unhappy teen behind the counter gave me a sample then walked away to talk with the other teens about nothing related to work. After a minute she comes back and asks if that is all. Uh no, I would like to try another sample. She scoops it and then walks away again. Repeat this two more times, getting more rude each time and continuing to ask "is that all?" over and over. Uh do you not want to be here or do you have something better to do?! Then my daughter orders and the girl asks again "is that all?" No I would like to try another flavor. By now she is thoroughly annoyed that I am taking up so much of her precious time so she scoops the absolutely tiniest sample of ice cream possible and guess what she says... "is that all?" No you moron, I haven't ordered yet. Why do you keep asking "is that all?" Believe it or not, I didn't come here just to enjoy your wonderful personality, I came here to order an ice cream so it "won't be all" until I actually order something! What a nitwit. My family has had bad experiences at this Baskin Robbins in the past, but hadn't been there for a while, so we thought we'd give them another try . . .big mistake. The charge more the Dublin or Danville BRs, and are so skimpy on the size of their scoops. The young people that work there are OK, but the manager is downright rude.
