Ugh. All I wanted all day long was my mint chip shake. I get in there and there was this nice guy bringing his daughter into the store for some ice cream. There were 2 girls working and he even said 'today is my daughters b-day' and both of them with their zombie faces just looked at the girl. Um hello? How about you perk up and tell the little girl HAPPY B-DAY and give her a free damn sample?! Make her smile?! Anyways, I order a mint shake and I saw the girl add hella milk in the blender. Im thinking OMG that better not be for my medium shake--she better add more ice cream to it. As soon as I saw the color of the finished product I knew it would be gross. Its all milk-- I didn't order mint flavored MILK I ordered a shake. Sooo disappointing. I literally cant drink it, because it's all milk. As i'm paying for my 'milk' I over hear the little girl tell her dad. "Daddy, there's a tip jar" So her dad puts some change in there. These 2 are the last ones to deserve a tip. So, after a long day of hiking and playing at the park. We decided to swing by and get some ice cream. The kids were all wound up and bouncing off the walls when we arrived. They ran up to the counter and started to order. Molly was helping us. Two of the kids wanted waffle cones... She immediately started insisting that they not get their ice cream in cones because it will melt too fast (wtf). We get them cones anyways. My friend orders her ice cream.. in a waffle cone. and "Molly" starts going off on her about how the ice cream will melt too fast in that cone.. My friend doesn't care and asks for the cone anyways. So then my daughter comes up and asks for her order.. she gives it to her and my daughter asks for toppings. She wanted 3 different toppings. Not a huge deal.. but Molly insists she give them to her in another bowl instead of on her ice cream.. I said it was fine and she hands the bowl of toppings to my daughter. My daughter tries to pour them onto her ice cream, and Molly starts flipping out again.. insisting that my daughter just scoop a spoonful of ice cream and dip it into the bowl of toppings. Who gives a crap how my daughter chooses to eat her ice cream?!?!?! Anyways, then the other employee comes over and asks me if we are all together or not. I said "yes.. sort of..." .but that we were paying separately. She asks what' my order was and I point to what my daughter has and then tell her that I need mine too. For some reason this is incredibly confusing to her.. So she tells Molly to just handle it and she leaves! WTF?!?! So then Molly asks me what I want. I had looked on both sides of the freezers and didn't see Cookies N Cream.. assuming they had it because its a popular flavor..I told her that I wanted a waffle cone and asked her if they had Cookies and Cream... She responded by saying yes and looking at me as if I am the dumbest person on earth. When she walks over to get my ice cream.. she didn't even go into one of the visible ice cream freezers. Not sure if it was randomly listen somewhere or not.. but I clearly couldn't see the ice cream from the customer side.. so wtf... Then we had to explain to Molly time and time again that my cone and my daughters two bowls were all on one tab, and the other 4 cones are on the other tab. Not sure how this is confusing.. but apparently it was completely not making any sense to her! She finally starts to ring me up and since there are 5 people between me and the register... I ask her if I need to go to the register or if I could pay from where I was. Molly responds with "Well... that's where the money is!!" Incredibly rude and unprofessional! I go down to the register and she rings up my daughters toppings.. then she gasps that I'm paying $2.60 something in just toppings (which is incredibly expensive.. FYI).. I tell her that I don't care what it costs... it's what my daughter wanted.. and was already eating. She responds with "I wish my parents gave me everything I wanted as a kid!" OMG! My daughter most definitely does NOT get everything that she wants..but yes.. she can have whatever toppings she wants on her friggin ice cream.. and that is NOT for YOU to decide! And, in all honesty, whether MY child gets everything she wants or not.. is NONE of her business! GRRR Anyways, I pay for my ice cream and tell the kids that we need to eat outside as to not be disturbing others who were eating inside. We go outside and the kids are running around (no where near anyone.. just so you know).. and we look inside to see Molly leaning over the counter talking very closely to another customer. Two seconds later she points our direction and then the customer turns and starts looking at us. Obviously she was inside talking crap about us! WHY?!?!?! Because we wanted ice cream however WE wanted to eat it and not how SHE wanted it?! Molly was incredibly rude. Very unprofessional.. and acted as if she has never seen children before. Our kids are very well behaved, nice, loving children... they had a lot of hyper energy.. but they weren't being rude.. or disrespectful in any way. They were just kids being kids. Will 100% NEVER be going back to this shop. read more

The only reason I continue to come here is simply because of the ice cream. Also because it is right down the street from my house. Otherwise this store probably has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I've read some of the other reviews that also say the same. I think a manager needs to read these because something really needs to be done. I think I have only come across one or two employees that have been somewhat nice. Most of them don't smile at all. They greet you with such sour tones that it's like they wish you weren't even there. Not to mention multiple times I've had someone sigh at me when I've ordered more that just one thing. They are just plain rude and I haven't met one person that has said otherwise. Management really needs to reconsider their staff. read more

I am not a fan of ice cream because they are usually too sweet for me. However, tried this store BR 's Pistachio Mint and loved it hence the 5 stars. The ice cream was packed with more pistachio nuts than ever and the mint flavor ice cream sweetness was just about right (not too sweet, not too tart). Anyhow, we had a scoop and then bought a pint to go. The staff service was prompt and friendly and the store was clean and bright. Overall, it was a decent experience and I will be back for more Mint/pistachio ice cream and other flavors - I heard that they have 31 different flavors :-) read more

I was in town and love to stop by BR to get a scoop of ice cream. I noticed the cakes at this locations is atleast $5 cheaper than my neighborhoods prices even with the new renovation. The staff was also super polite and were so cheery and patient as I tried a few flavors. Definitely a win in my book! read more

Ok.. so can I say today was a special day for my sister and I came in to get her an ice cream cake and the cutest girl helped me choose one and not only that wrote in the cutest fashion the perfect way to express how proud I am of her! I didn't get her name but the best way to describe her is that she had some awesome eyes!! Anyway, I left there a happy girl with the greatest cake and wanted to say thank you, its the littlest things in life that make me happy and this is where I will come if I need something like this for a special occasion again!! They were also talking about how much they hate when there are customers In the store, as I am sitting there. not enough good things to say about this place, ordered and ice cream cake online at the last minute and they were still able to get it done for my friends party, cake was delicious and the inscription on top was exactly how I wanted it. So i have family that live in the area. So ive been to this baskin-robbins enough to say that the customer service isnt the greatest. I mean i get it its summer time so theres the teenagers just tryna rack up some funds for their summer weekends but come on now you can be a little bit more attentive and happy. They barely make eye contact with you and its understandable they have to rush because it gets pretty busy but it adds a lot of confusion too. Not that organized. i could've given them 2 stars but its ice cream. And my milkshake was good! Oh and we almost got cut in line and than we almost cut someone in line because there was no direction just people everywhere. And the employees are too busy talking to their friends that visit them that they dont communicate amongst eachother to know if they got the customers order or nor. I know it happens but its only two servers helping the customers and its so small that you just give your coworker a hint like i c=got them you can get the next customer. read more

Many of my friends have worked here. They have great ice cream, and the workers are nice. The place can get crowded, but it is bearable. Parking is usually decent. It is a great place to go to when it is hot or warm in Martinez. It is by McDonald's and near Wal-Mart in Martinez. read more

Walked in on a Sunday evening, very crowded and the store is just super unorganized, with one cash register and people standing all over, no "line starts here" sign, nothing - just a "figure it out on your own" type deal. After waiting about 10 minutes, we finally get our ice cream, our second choice, as they were out of chocolate dipped waffle cones and waffle cones altogether. A little disappointing. Also a little disappointing that my Reese's Peanut Butter flavored ice cream tasted like bananas. How does that even happen? Maybe the scoop wasn't cleaned off? I don't know, but it was terrible. The consistency of the ice cream itself was gross as well, not smooth but very "lumpy." All in all, a bad experience and probably won't be back. I wish I saved my money and went over to McDonald's and grabbed a $1 sundae, it would have been more satisfying. Also, the girls behind the counters could use some customer service training. 8 people in line and one of the girls takes a "water break" and makes it known very loud to all the customers waiting. I get it, you're probably in high school and its your first job but you can at least act like you care, just a little. The same girl decided to help people that came in WAY after all the other 8 people currently waiting, talking about the frozen ice cream cakes in the freezer section. The only bright spot of this visit was my wife's Cherry Jubilee ice cream but she also wanted it on a chocolate dipped cone. read more
