What happened to the service here?! Today, my friends and I were in the mood for halo halo on our way home from Suisun. And of course we chose to stop by here even tho one of us prefers ima's. My friend went to order two while I went to find a table. We started conversing with the people at the table next to us while waiting for our order. Got our order promptly. My friend had started eating hers and gave me mines that was still in the bag. I pulled down the bag. Removed the lid and started to take a bite. On the fourth scoop, I mixed a little trying to get some of the ube beneath the ice. At the fifth scoop, something else was in my mouth besides ice. Got both my friends attention before I removed what was in my mouth. It was some piece of plastic. As soon as I saw it, I told me friend I didn't want mines anymore. Even tho I barely ate any of it or even mixed the beans and all at the bottom. So, my friend went to return it. I didn't even want another one. So while my friend went to return it, she explained to who was the manager about the incident. Which the name of the manger at that moment was Rebecca. Instead of any acknowledgement and/or an apology, all the manager would say is that they don't have that kind of piece of plastic there. Pretty much insinuating that we put the plastic in there. My friend felt offended that the manager was trying to say we planned to do that. Like hello?!?! It was barely eaten and totally ruined my mood for it. At least she finally got her refund. Finally got a chance to try Red Ribbon! My Filipino friend recommended this place to me after I told him I was looking for a birthday cake. To be honest, I was a bit tired of 85C cakes, and so the decision was made to give them a try. I came here on 02/20/25 at around 12:30pm. The shop was clean and well maintained. Being a first time customer, I had no clue about their offerings. Fortunately, the female manager gave me some recommendations. She was very friendly and helpful. I ended up getting a tiramisu cake, which cost $28 after a 20% discount. I thought the pricing was very reasonable. The manager even threw in some free candles and a happy birthday card. The cake was surprisingly good. It was moist and the cream was not too sweet. The coffee used had the right robustness. I have had more expensive tiramisu cakes that were half as good as this one. Overall, I had a good first experience here. Will return to try other offerings. 4 stars. read more

Usually love Red Ribbon for their cakes, caramel yema, and beef empanadas, but the last time I went I bought a butter memon and when I got home and unwrapped it, the bottom was moldy. Gross dudes. You gotta do a better job or removing old stock from the shelves. I shouldn't have to inspect my foods to make sure I won't get poisoned because you don't properly rotate your stock. read more

The flavor was spot on - savory gravy with ground pork and very prominent shrimp flavor and scent over thin rice noodles, and finally topped with pork rind bits. While the noodles were delicious, I wasn't a big fan of the pork rind bits some of which I found to be really tough. It was almost $8 as of July 2024, which was priced very fairly. It also came with a hard boiled egg. I ended up adding a few extra eggs that I prepared myself, which really worked. Ordering it through their app was easy and pretty painless. read more

I cannot forget how rude the mod was back in aug when I was gonna buy 2 whole cakes. I see that they were in the middle of a delivery and exchanging the cakes on the display. She could have just told me to wait but instead she told me i could not buy any cake because they're going to be short on inventory and they were in the middle of changing the displays in to fresh ones. I said I could just take the one they replaced on the display i dont mind but she insisted they were going to be short on inventory/ they don't have enough for inventory. I had 2 events going on that day but she rather have enough for her inventory than sell out 2 whole cakes. I hope you guys have better ways/strategies of selling, choosing what is more important to sell out or to have more for inventory. read more

Wow. I am really surprised of the low ratings here. I mean, from an eye test you really have all the interaction of a 7-Eleven. Not sure how I can get so bad other folks. I don't think I've ever been here (or any other location) before. My buddy, who I was hanging out with, and I decided that we wanted to grab some Filipino goodies. So I went to the seafood city that was close by his condo. We grab some Jollibee which is right next-door and I was excited for all the stuff so I went to this place and grab a few goodies for myself. Since it is inside a seafood city, masks are required, which has never been an issue with me. I asked my buddy since he's a veteran at this place what to get so he played a few things that he liked and I grabbed a few more. For example, I'm a big fan of ube, but he is not. It was pretty easy. I just took the things I selected and had the person ring it up for me. I thought the person was really polite. This is also before the dinner rush, so it was a very easy transaction. Now... I can maybe see it getting really busy and people behind the counter having to deal with a lot of dumb questions and unreasonable request which might make everything a little more stressful in terms of interaction, but that is just conjecture. Came at the concord location about 5 minutes before 8pm on 04/04/24. Our family has been frequenting this location for as long as they've been open. We love this bakery! Cakes have always been a go-to for our family and most like likely, always will. Just a little disappointed in the service this evening by the staff on evening shift.. I didn't want any food or anything. Just wanted coffee for the commute home and didn't wanna have to stop by Starbucks. However, the lady who was busy cleaning mopping the floor denied me an order of coffee. Which they never have before. The lady working was very polite but said they stop serving coffee and hot foods and other menu items after 8 o'clock, and are only serving customers who want baked goods until closing at 8:30. So just be aware that if you want food hot items or coffee and drinks. To come an hour or more before closing, especially if you drive a good amount of time to get to this location. Received items expire tomorrow or the next day and only 1 item was 5 days before expire. Tried to get help from online ordering was unsuccessful because it kept sending us to an error page. Growing up in Manila, I'm no stranger to Red Ribbon baked goods. From their soft butter mamons, delicate cakes and other lunch offerings, it's an easy choice when I travel back to my hometown. Mama knows to always bring me an ube cake from Red Ribbon on my birthday. I remember back in 2014, I received not one, but two Ube cakes! (My work Mom caught onto the idea) It's a stunning cake and the flavor is oh so wonderful! Cutting the cake barely takes an effort, you can use your fingers to cut it, that's how soft it is. The whipped cream rosettes give it a fancy feel, but the real flavor punch comes from a very thin layer of the jellied macapuno. Of course, the bright purple coloring from purple no. 15 helps a lot too :) Other cakes you should try are the tropical mango and the super sweet mocha crunch cake. I may not like getting older, but I do like getting cakes from Red Ribbon! read more
