    Tiramisu Cake

Finally got a chance to try Red Ribbon! My Filipino friend recommended this place to me after I told him I was looking for a birthday cake. To be honest, I was a bit tired of 85C cakes, and so the decision was made to give them a try. I came here on 02/20/25 at around 12:30pm. The shop was clean and well maintained. Being a first time customer, I had no clue about their offerings. Fortunately, the female manager gave me some recommendations. She was very friendly and helpful. I ended up getting a tiramisu cake, which cost $28 after a 20% discount. I thought the pricing was very reasonable. The manager even threw in some free candles and a happy birthday card. The cake was surprisingly good. It was moist and the cream was not too sweet. The coffee used had the right robustness. I have had more expensive tiramisu cakes that were half as good as this one. Overall, I had a good first experience here. Will return to try other offerings. 4 stars.

Pan Pancit Palabok with Cake Slice and drink $12
    Liberty G.

I've enjoyed Red Ribbon Pastries many times over the years, but this was my first time trying their Pancit Palabok--and it did not disappoint. The sauce was flavorful, the eggs were generous, and the noodles had just the right texture. My mom tried it as well and absolutely loved it. I ordered the meal deal, which included a slice of Mango Supreme cake and a drink for $12. The drink options were limited to bottled water or a can of Pepsi, and upgrading to a different cake costs extra. The highlight of the visit was the friendly service. The cashier was kind enough to point out the meal combo savings when we were about to order items separately. Small touches like that make a difference.

The Swiss rolls are pretty good. Line can be long but moves fast. Service is speedy. It is a pay and go bakery, so no ambiance at all. Have yet to try their whole cakes.

    The best Mango Supreme Cake

I love coming back here for the best Mango Supreme and Chicken Empanada! Excellent customer service from the manager Rebecca and Eron! I will definitely recommend this location to friends and family.

My lovely neighbor just brought me a mango supreme cake! It is delicious! It was a gift. So I have no comment about the store front or service or pricing. I have walked by the store in the past and it's always busy, too bustling for me normally. Haha. The cake is delightful!

I love the new picture perfect cake and fresh pastries! Great customer service from Erin!

    Ube Flan

Their Ube Flan is a delightful treat! The rich, moist ube chiffon cake topped with delicious, creamy leche flan is simply irresistible. Highly recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth!

The line moved too quick I wish i couldve have more time to decide so i ended up getting more than I wanted. We got there Chocolate croissant, brioche, Flan Vanille, macaroons, marshmallow, 2 tuna sandwich, ham and cheese croissant and the croque monsieur. Although everything was pleasant our favorite was the Flan Vanille and the tuna sandwiches. The Flan vanille is my new favorite dessert going forward. I know it was a busy day and the staff was busy with the orders and service making tables available however they could improve in checking their bathroom and trash bins. All bins were too full even one by the counter. We notice that the staff continously wiping the counter but didnt notice the overflowing trash bin. Other than that i couldnt stop bragging about Mason Benoit on my social media. We will definitely come back.

The bakery is always busy, but that's not surprising. Their pastries are really good.

The pastries are a pretty large serving size. We cut them, so folks can sample a bit of each. Mmm. Mmm. The ube filled croissant had a light creamy filling with flaky, crisp top layer and soft, fluffy inner layers. I'm not a fan of ube, but I didn't hate this. The fruit tart had a smooth, dense cream custard with a variety of fresh fruit on top. Portuguese egg custard tart had a sweet vanilla custard with caramelized top layer in a flaky puff pastry crust.

What Happened to the Choco Bun?…read more Plenty of free parking. When you walk in, grab a tray and window shop all the pastries. They individually wrap these so grab what you want and place it on your tray. Once you're finished, cruise up to the counter. Would I Come Back? Yes, I keep coming back. I use to come back for the Choco Bun, but if they've changed the recipe at all locations, I'll only be coming back for the Milk Bun and Nougat. Their Signature Item: Egg tarts are their signature item. If you've ever been to an Asian party, someone almost always brings a box of egg tarts from 85-Degrees. But on today's visit. Well, just look at the photo. Someone stepped away from the oven for about 6 minutes too long. Choco Bun ($2.55, Grade D): The Choco Bun has been my absolute go-to for years--the closest location to me is usually the South Sacramento store and I tell everyone they have to get it whenever they visit an 85°C. Unfortunately, it's been about 8 months since my last trip, and the Choco Bun is no longer something to write home about. Milk Bun ($2.05, Grade A+): If you've ever had their Milk Bun with the custard filling, the Choco Bun used to be very similar in texture. Now, it's flat with super dry edges. Not good at all. Luckily, I also bought a Milk Bun (my usual second favorite), and by default, it's now my number one because the Choco Bun was a complete bust. It's so fluffy and sweet. Melts in your mouth. Strawberry Banana Smoothie / no boba ($5.85, Grade F): It was incredibly artificial-tasting--nothing real about it. I only made it through a quarter of it before throwing the rest into the garbage. My fault for hoping for a "just picked" fresh fruit taste, but this was honestly one of the worst smoothies I've ever had. Nougat ($9.60, Grade A+): The bagged Nougat candy is fantastic. It's soft, gooey, and packed with what I'm guessing are pieces of pistachio. Delicious, but a fair warning if you have dental issues: these will wreak havoc on your teeth. It's not quite as sticky as a Starburst, but it could definitely pull out a denture! Bottom Line: The staff here is friendly, and there are still a few standout 5-star items that make a visit worth it (the Milk Bun and the Nougat). However, the disappointing recipe change to the Choco Bun and the absolute miss on the smoothie knock this down to a 3-star experience overall.
