So I'm so confused! My son wanted ice cream so we were near this Baskin Robins and I said why not. We orders a small shake with a kids cup. The girl says you can't mix the flavors unless you purchase 2 scoops. I said ok I'll get a mixed adult size. She said you still have to pay for 2 scoops if you want more than one flavor. This is ridiculous! I don't want to eat 2 scoops. You have a lot of flavors. I'll just drive to Harmond's in North Park next time. Went on a Friday night. not crazy busy, luckily. Love that they are keeping up with the competition and then some. they have a candy station, like cold stone. a cookie station, like the baked bear and even ice cream cookie pizza!! all the old favs, sugar waffle cones, milkshakes, iced coffee and of course help yourself water stations. I tried the caramel jamocha, the flavor of the month. it was fantastic! I love coffee flavored ice cream and usually I get plain jamocha. the roasted espresso beans in the chocolate chips countered the sweetness of the ribbons of caramel. I could have eaten a tub. the girl that helped us was nice enough, quiet, but my boyfriend's snickers sundae was tiny. it had two scoops but the ice cream scoops didnt even clear the top of the cup. it was a little disappointing. other than that i loved my flavor, he was not entirely impressed hence the 4 star. read more

Myself and two others had come here last night. Store hours say it closes at 10 we pulled up around 9:52pm. Once we pulled up one of the young girls working RAN to lock the door. Basically in our face because I was out of the car at this point. Then the girls proceeded to dance in front of the window after. One of my friends had knocked on the window and asked why they locked the door. The girl had tried to ignore her then said "fine we'll open it". We left that was so rude. I was very disappointed with the service provided today. My kids and I went in to the la Mesa Baskin Robbins to purchase quarts of ice cream and they had a very limited supply. The limited supply was not the issue. When I asked if they had more flavors one of the employees defensively said since it was a holiday weekend, there hadn't been truck deliveries. Another employee said we should consider going to the grocery store because they had more flavors there. I had only asked to see if maybe they had more flavors in the back of the store. One of my kids looked at me and said she didn't want ice cream after hearing what the employees said. I purchased 1 ice cream because we had ordered it prior to us being told to go somewhere else. When I said to the employee that the owner of this store may not like them sending customers somewhere else she said, "She is the owner" referring to the lady that said to consider going to a grocery store. It's baseball season which means my favorite flavor is in baseball nut. The perfect combination of vanilla ice cream raspberry swirl and cashews. Compared to froyo ice cream is more on the expensive side and you can get a gallon at the store for as much as two scoops will cost you here but it's worth it for the treat. They have enough to seat 12 people at this location. I don't bother to come on free scoop nights the line is ridiculous but I do come for dollar scoop Tuesdays. Yum what a treat, enjoy! read more

We chose this Baskin Robbins for our son's first birthday cake! When I went to pick it up, I discovered that it was nothing like the photo I had been shown. I had specifically asked for the printing to not be in all capital letters...it was in all capital letters. The "polka-dots" were mixed with color that was not solid. I was shocked by the quality and saddened because we frequent this shop so often. The clerks told me to call the owner the very next day at 10am, so I left with high hopes that this matter would be taken care of and tried not to let it ruin my son's birthday. I called the owner the following Monday and she agreed that often the photos that corporate gives them do not look like what is made. She apologized and offered me a cake the same size for free. A little over a week later, I went to order a second cake. The clerks were extremely helpful and I was excited for our purchase. Around 5pm, I received a call from the La Mesa store manager saying that I was to pay 50% for that second cake. I told her that that was not what the owner had told me. She said, "the owner is hard to understand sometimes." The manager requested my credit card number and wanted to return the full price of the original cake ($21) back to my credit card. I asked her what the difference was between giving me a second cake for free that I would be happy with and returning the full amount. She said she wanted me to "buy my cake elsewhere". In fact, she repeated this a couple of times making it clear she did not want my business. My parents brought me to this corner ice cream shop when I was a small girl for my first cone. My husband drove down here to attend SDSU and stopped at this shop. We have lived here together as a married couple for sixteen years and have enjoyed walking to this location as well as taking our young boys there. We will now be going "elsewhere" as requested by the manager. read more

This place usually gives great service but more than once there was the same guy working behind the counter who never wears gloves and today kept taking his mask off to wipe his nose then sneezed next to all of the ice cream (he did sneeze into his mask, for what little comfort that may give you). Love Baskin Robbins classic flavors but the workers at this store look like they hate their jobs. Particularly this on guy that I've seen twice on 9/24 and 9/25 evening and he just kills the vibe I grew up with going to Baskin. It's usually fun and happy but the moment he goes to help you it disappears. This Baskin Robbins ice cream parlor is the close to my son's school. I love their 31 favors 31 days specials. $1.50 scoop night on the 31st day of the month my favorite!! $9 for 6 scoops. We got all our favorites tonight. The scoop sizes haven't increased but the prices went up. Regular scoop $4.79. The young ladies and gentleman that work here are extra friendly and have brilliant customer service skills. Service isn't speedy but the line does move. They are modest with the scoops. This location offers fresh handmade ice bars and frozen bananas. Dipped in chocolate!!! Surprising. Parking is average but can be a outlandish at times. The ice cream here is remarkable. The quality has not changed. Baskin Robbins is childhood favorite. 31 flavors and Rite aid ice cream have always been a childhood favorite of mine. I ordered an ice cream cake for my birthday. I was very specific on the phone. I asked if it was decorated with Whip cream or Butter cream because my family does not like the whip cream. She told me it would be frosted with butter cream. When i opened the cake at the party i found that all the icing was in whip cream. I called the store and was told someone would call me Monday. As my family does not like whip cream, we did not eat the cake. Tuesday, Michelle called me to tell me that the person who took the order was not correct and they only frost in whip cream. I told her i was very specific and wanted only Buttercream. Her attitude was very abrasive and she said that the person did not write that down and that they could give me a store credit for 50% of the cake. Had she just had a better attitude i would have said, no problem, mistakes are made. But she is rude and abrasive and I am done giving money to shops that don't know how to treat customers. My kids and i go to this store after music lessons every week, However, I will not be going to this store again. I will warn my friends not to go to this store ever. I bought a cake here for my daughter's birthday. I ordered white cake with chocolate cookies and cream ice cream. When I cut the cake it was obviously vanilla cake, not white cake.
