Great location, located on the corner, located right next to Vallartas. It is so easy to order in the app and pick up or go through the drive through! The employees are also very nice. read more

Almost closing time lastnight, i bought an iced coffee. Sat in the cafe to drink. Once finished, I asked for a refill, which i have as obliged as always. Refills are free when you sit in. I got my refill and left since they were closing. When I got to work, i swent to drink some coffee, it tasted like crap. Truck me, that's not for the lack of a better word. It was all watered down milk. Terrible. It was too late to go back since they were closed. Last time I go there and that was my first time going. read more

Where do I even start....i order coffee from this location 3 times a week, spending anywhere from 50-70 bucks a weeks depending on how rough my work week is going. My husband's order is pretty straightforward but mines....its pretty out there and complicated, the kind of order that would make any seasoned barista cringe or roll their eyes. They're all super nice, but this particular group that works together makes an awesome team. Last Thursday I accidentally placed an order but to the Eastlake location by my house. I work in La Mesa so I usually order from the Jackson location. Well I walk in and they noticed me and asked if I ordered. I thought I did but when I looked at the app I didn't. I started to stress out but they took care of it quickly and helped calm me down. They got to it right away knowing I had to be at work and I was in and out rather quickly! I still made it in time! I love this location, they already know me by name, but this particular crew on Thursday is my favorite group. Thank you for always taking care of me and keeping me well caffeinated! read more

I don't normally leave reviews but this place consistently has poor quality baristas and espresso. The baristas are nice - But they don't know how to make coffee. It's always watery, can't taste the espresso, and overall done very poorly. I don't know if the machines are broken but any other Starbucks location is 10x better than this one. They need a major quality check. read more

The two baristas on shift this afternoon sadly missed an opportunity that could have convinced me to re-engage with Starbucks. I come to this area when I'm headed out of town. When a group of us stopped here today, the bathroom code was reluctantly given by the female employee before we ordered our beverages. The wait for the bathroom was lengthy for the public bathroom DESPITE the fact that there is a second bathroom. Despite asking if there is a code for the second bathroom, I got a bunch of attitude when told it was for "employees only". So instead, a male employee came over and knocked on the door to hurry up the person inside the public bathroom which was quite rude especially since the second bathroom could have been easily opened to remedy the situation that there were three people in line. I understand the issue with unhoused populations necessitating the code on the doors but when this was certainly not a situation with unhoused people and could very easily have been solved, this was a clear lack of customer service and poor attitudes from the employees. What a disappointment in decent customer service and missed opportunity for trying to go above and beyond in one's job. Not gonna be back to this location despite being in this area often. And instead of just brushing it off, it's compelled me to actively tell my friends to not visit this location either. read more

Long list of requirements for customers to meet. No restrooms. Excuse after excuse why I have to wait for Uber Eats. But it's the "system" as if it matters why I'm waiting so long girl asked me my order name, then didn't listen and had to repeat. More concerned with themselves than customers read more

Upon entry the ambiance was exactly as it should be: with some lo-fi music playing on the speakers, a family playing cards, and a few other people sitting about chit chatting. I made the mistake of not properly checking the location of which I placed my mobile order, but GZ and Abi were on it for me. All I had to do was show my receipt from the other location, and they made sure to get me the items I ordered. GZ suggested I call the location I placed my order to let them know I wasn't coming to pick it up, and I did as I was told. GZ brought my bagel with cream cheese, and my drink to me after Abi made it for me. Both of them are amazing and their customer service is superb. Definitely, made me feel welcome on my first trip to this Jackson & Center location. read more

Worst starbucks. I work nearby so I go to this location often, every single time there's a problem. Whether I ordered in person or on DoorDash. Either they Make the drink wrong or don't include certain things in the DoorDash. I have never had a problem this much at any other location. read more

Seems like they are doing slightly better on keeping the traffic not *as* backed up onto Jackson. After a recent conversation with one of my favorite Yelpers, Kev, I realized it was go time on the holiday floofy drinks. I have been here quite a few times recently and they are rocking the pumpkin cold brew. Sorry Kev, I've had a lot of them too. :D My French press broke, and I'm going full floof right now on my sugar Starbucks concoctions. I don't even feel bad about it. read more

Done with Starbucks!! I'm all for paying for quality, but Starbucks charging extra just to swap one flavor for another in the same drink? That's ridiculous. I didn't add anything extra -- just switched syrups that all cost the same $0.80-- and somehow that warrants a new upcharge? It's not about the small cost, it's about the principle. This isn't an upgrade, it's a swap and I cannot consume sugar so I have to use sugar free. It feels like they're nickel-and-diming customers for no reason. For a company that prides itself on customization, this just feels like straight-up robbery. My app has been deleted and I'm going to bring my business and hard earned money to a coffee shop with pricing that makes sense and is fair. read more

I like this new Starbucks in La Mesa. The management and employees were super friendly and welcoming. Even during these hard times with COVID-19, they were in good spirits taking measures to consider the safety of patrons and their fellow employees. That being said, I had them make me, TO GO, a Venti Cafe Misto with their Dark Roast and a toasted Sprouted Grain Bagel with butter only. The Misto was great and offered a robust flavor that I was looking for. The spouted grain bagel was consistently as good, as I have experienced at other locations. Good bagel. This location offers a drive thru, and hopefully some day, comfortable seating inside and outside. read more

I've never had a bad experience at Starbucks, until today! I love this Starbucks, usually... a tall gay was rather rude! I think he hates women! I do not come to Starbucks for major tude. I come for delicious beverages and good service. Why he was hired, I have no idea. He had a stank disgusted face that did not move the entire time! And he made me reach half my body out of the window to grab both of my drinks! Mind you, he's extremely tall??!!! He did not move an inch to give me my drinks and that stank face didn't either. read more

To be honest, Starbucks was not my choice today for coffee (no offense - I just have been trying to support the small local shops during COVID - but they were closed today) I described to the gal what I sorta wanted and what flavors I do really enjoy at Starbucks - and she replied with "ok. We got you! " And they sure did. This drink it delicious and it delivers the flavors I truly love from Starbucks (espresso, matcha & caramel) So I truly appreciate these gals today who assisted me and made my drink! read more

Starbucks - I have found my new Starbucks drink - Coffee & Tea Near Me - La Mesa, California

1/16/2023 12:50pm ordered grande iced white mocha with oatmilk, no whip my go to, barista had a friendly smile , nice start. Sat down and waited a while after ordering only to check the counter had a few items sitting. Figured they would call out my name since barista asked when I placed my order at the register and it's printed on the receipt ‍ I think it's rude to not let customers know when their items are ready, especially in a small quite lobby that's not crowded at all. Overall opinion on service is 2 stars because of that simple task that usually does not happen. Usually they call out the customers name ‍ it's really not that hard read more

I come to this Starbucks almost everyday I work for my breakfast. Not any more. I went into the cafe and ordered today. 20 minutes later and all the customers who have come in after me have gotten their drinks. I go and ask what's going on with my drink. From the time I asked the girl who was at the counter did not want to hear it and was giving me an attitude. The girl who took my order never asked me for my name so they couldn't find my order, she also didn't give me a receipt. The girl at the counter was incredibly rude about helping me get my drink made. I ended up asking for my money back. I was watching the counter my drink was never out there. If it was made they gave it to someone through the drive thru, then decided to treat me like I was the one who somehow made the mistake, and like it was a bother to just get me the drink I paid for. read more

I always have a great experience here :) My drink is consistently super tasty and even when the line seems to be really long, I'm always surprised by how fast it moves! I'm never guilty for stopping in the drive thru on the way to work because I know they'll never make me late read more

Honestly I'm so upset. I wanna start off by saying I have never had a bad experience here except for today. I always order a brown sugar shaken espresso usually around 2pm-5pm and from how many times I order it I know how it's made. Today happened to be the day that I went around closing time. & so happen today I had to get my drink remade, and let me tell you I didn't receive a very good out come. 1. it wasn't shaken, if you drink this you know it tastes completely different without it being shaken. To be completely honest, I don't even think that they remade it it feels like It just got poured into a different cup. We came back and went into the store. We went in with no attitude just wanted our drinks remade, when we were waiting they were talking through the headset, looking at us and smirking. it made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. my wife was very upset to the point she was trying to see if we can get a refund. She never get gets upset but today I can tell she was because she called when we left and asked for the persons name at the register. She even received attitude through the phone when we asked for her name. The lady She spoke to was Nicole and I was received with a lot of attitude and when I got there she said "now that i think about it we don't have cinnamon" like WHAT. You couldn't have said it when I ordered it... very upset. P.S no one was wearing aprons. Hope you guys can resolve this issue like I said usually we NEVER have an issue but CLOSING shift really wanted to close I guess. read more

Starbucks - This is the "cinnamon dolce" in replace for the cinnamon that's supposed to be IN THE DRINK not on TOP .! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - La Mesa, California

Hands down best Starbucks service I have ever gotten. I decided to go to Starbucks because my toddler was a bit fussy and we were a bit early to his doctors appointment. Thankfully the Starbucks line wasn't so bad, so as soon as we pulled up to the drive to order the person ordering asked how I was doing ? Not their typical welcome to Starbucks let me take your order thing. The complete opposite they asked how my day was going and then proceeded to take my order. I ordered my usual iced coffee and a cake pop and apple juice for my son. The line was moving pretty fast and when we got to the window, the barista was very nice and had our drinks ready. This is exactly the service one wants. Definitely will be returning to this Starbucks again. read more

I'm not a fan of drive thru Starbucks. They always seem to have people willing to block street traffic because they're incapable of getting their lazy asses out of their cars to fetch those disgustingly sweet drinks they're inordinately fond of. This location has tried to prevent the people who park in the lot from being blocked in by drive thru traffic, which is a good idea if not for the lack of space for the drive thru traffic, leading these lazy people to just pile up on Jackson Drive instead. I typically don't visit any location with a drive thru unless they have parking available nearby, and not in their lots. There's no street parking near here on this side of the street because of the way the street is laid out, so I've only been here when I'm picking up takeout from nextdoor. This would only be a last option for me as a result. I come here to feed my son's love of their iced tea. The service is usually good though and it's clean inside. read more

Great place to hangout and good service I can't believe they were so fast and very helpful. Check it out.

Just wow. Go to any other Starbucks location. They want to give you shit about how you order your drinks and then not even make the drink right anyways. Been ordering the same exact drink at Starbucks for a decade. I order it a specific way to make it cheaper, the barista wasn't having it, and then they purposely gave me my drink with about a inch missing from the top when I paid extra for the extra milk. I try to be understanding I know working in a drive-through is difficult. But if you're going to have an attitude just because someone's trying to save a little money maybe you shouldn't be a barista. I was super nice and even tipped. They are lucky I didn't come back in the store me to fix my drink. read more
