Calling All Pink Lovers! ...this is the place for you! The Pink Rose Cafe is so cute! It's fun and definitely a place for many photo ops! It was our first time here and I wanted to take my daughter somewhere different and unique. She thinks she is a young lady now so she wants to do coffee dates with me and her Dad. The flowers on the wall are eye catching and enhances the pink color. The cashier was super sweet and very helpful when it came to us ordering our drinks. She wanted to make sure my daughter got the perfect drink. I got the Spiked Brown Sugar Latte and she got the French Vanilla Kiss. They both were very tasty. Pretty place, lots of seating, spacious. I ordered an iced Mexican Mocha less sweet and it was perfect! It actually tasted like coffee, not overly sweet like most places. Downside. Parking is awful. So.Much.PINK! I took my wife and daughter here and they absolutely fell in love with this place. The vibe is definitely welcoming and cute from a guy standpoint. This place has been on my list for a long time, and I finally got a chance to check it out. I love the concept, the all-pink, rosy aesthetic is super cute and definitely eye-catching. The service, however, was a bit hit or miss. One of the staff members was incredibly sweet and did a fantastic job, while the other wasn't very welcoming, which affected the overall experience. I ordered the avocado bagel on an everything bagel, and it was absolutely delicious. I also felt the bagel was fairly and reasonably priced. On the other hand, I tried the pink rosy lemonade after asking for a staff recommendation, and it was quite disappointing. It tasted like overly sweet, pink-colored sugar water and felt very overpriced for what it was. I really hope they reconsider their pricing on drinks to better match the quality. read more

first of all - this is the cutest little coffee shop i have ever seen. my daughters favorite color is pink so i told her to put on something pink and we decided to go check it out. the menu is limited/pricey and not a lot to choose from but it made her soo happy. i do like their new lavender lemonade that i tried during the taste of la mesa - but i was pretty bummed you had to choose between that or the matcha :( however, im excited to see where there next location is and if they are expanding the menu! read more

Ignoring the cuteness, the experiences I've had here, maybe a half-dozen times, are just middling. The coffee drinks are ok but they offer only 16 oz sizes for things like cappuccino, and I don't think there is any option for a non-cardboard cup. While I've never tried any of the food items like waffles, I am usually looking for a pastry of some type, and there is usually very little on offer. I assume it is better in the early morning but that isn't when I go. Today there was just two slices of a coffee cake, which my wife said was very dry and tasteless. I agree with Dana R., it feels like they went all in on theme and phoned the rest in. They have added some outside tables. The chairs on the inside tables are slightly low and hard to get out of if you are older. read more

I had a fabulous time having a galentines day party here. Pink and red everywhere; w flowers on the walk vintage Barbie sketches in the bathroom and a full menu of deli us treats many of them pink. I had the best strawberry shake of my life (photo included) and a grill cheese sandwich w turkey;others had crepes and coffee drinks (pink)amongst other things. We recently visited Pink Rose Cafe for the first time, and it was such a cute experience--especially because my daughter specifically asked to go to an all-pink café and was so excited about it. The vibe is definitely part of the charm. Inside, it's on the smaller side, but they've put so much thought into the decor. It has this vintage, feminine, all-pink aesthetic that feels really intentional and pretty. It's one of those places that's just fun to look at and be in. I ordered a coconut matcha, and it was honestly so good--definitely something I'd go back for. My kids got an ice cream sundae, and they loved it too, so that was a win all around. They also have outdoor seating, which is where we ended up sitting since the weather's been so nice lately. I will say, it did get pretty warm inside and didn't seem like there was much AC, so sitting outside felt like the better option. The service was great--they bring everything out to you, which I always appreciate, especially when I'm with my kids. It made the whole experience feel more relaxed. The Pink Rose Cafe definitely lives up to its name! This cafe is small but super cute and aesthetically pleasing! The inside has lots of pink and also has 2 flower walls that are perfect for cute photo ops. There are about 7 tables inside and 2 outside as well. It was a little lonesome when I got there, and the staff didn't really offer any suggestions or greetings. I ordered an iced raspberry white mocha, which was delicious! It also had a good kick of caffeine that kept me going through my day. I wasn't able to grab any food to try since I was parked at the 5min parking spot out front and didn't want to risk a ticket and also didn't want to pay for parking. Stopped by Pink Rose Cafe this morning and spent about $15 on two drinks: an espresso cortado and the French Kiss.First impressions, the café itself is very cute and definitely leans hard into the floral aesthetic, which makes it visually appealing and Instagram-friendly. The French Kiss tasted watered down, and I honestly couldn't taste the espresso at all. I even asked for an extra shot with oat milk, but it ended up tasting more like diluted sugar than coffee. It was pretty disappointing.The espresso cortado was basically just straight espresso. I requested almond milk, but I couldn't really tell if anything had been added. I may stop by again during the week to give it another chance, since the space itself is very cute and an excellent little cafe to sit and talk with friends. read more

I got a matcha latte (part of their summer series) and it was delicious. This is a super cute spot located in downtown La Mesa and I'm so glad I finally checked it out. It's a little tiny, with limited seating inside and outside. Decor is gorgeous, soft and welcoming. I could see this being a spot that attracts people for photos for sure. I thought it was just a coffee shop but they actually have a full menu too. Our coffee was good, nothing special but fresh and we enjoyed them. The avocado toast was basic, the bread was very fresh and it came as a single slice. Since it was very basic and only one slice, I think it was over priced. We also got a scoop of strawberry ice cream which was really good. We sat outside which was beautiful and peaceful. When it comes to presentation and ambience the Pink Rose Cafe has it covered. It is super cute and went all in on theme. But it's like that's where they stopped and phoned the rest in. My friend and I met for breakfast and a time to catch up. We were one of two parties there. We had a lot of catching up to do so I was a little happy that they weren't super busy or I would've felt rushed to leave. We both had the açaí bowls which were beautiful and tasted great. She had a matcha drink that was cute. I didn't taste it. I had the shaken brown sugar latte. It was okay. Initially I wanted a pastry but they looked like Costco muffins and pastries, but more expensive. Seemed a little old. One of the tables near us got the strawberry waffle and it was really pretty. Second time coming here and it was great. The esthetic is so cute and definitely girly. It was pretty busy but expected because it's the weekend and around Christmas so that's just a bad combo lol. We really wanted to like this place...came here with my sister in law, we both order the breakfast bagel which is $10.99 kind of steep then an additional $1.99 for added protein. For what that price we expected something a bit more than the small bagel we received. Also ordered a vanilla latte and a matcha frap which were okay. Me and my grandma called ahead and asked if we needed to make reservations on our way there and they said nope they had room for two, but failed to mention that they were out of food! They told us that when we got there and said they could only serve drinks because they were out of everything. We were shocked because how could a restaurant be out of all ingredients two hours before closing time? Their presentation and enthusiasm sucked and it felt very unwelcoming, like they just wanted us to leave and when we did they acted like they were closing! What topped all of this was that the customers before us, which where only two tiny groups, all had food and it looked like they only got there about five minutes before us. I was actually going to Downtown La Mesa to pick up a book from Meet Cute and came across Pink Rose Cafe. I had seen their account on Instagram a couple of times but never knew where they were located so it was so excited when I was walking by. It is extremely cute and aesthetically pleasing, their walls are laid out with beautiful fake flowers and in front of their cafe is a clothing rack and bike with the cutest dresses! I almost bought a dress but they didn't have it in my size and for the quality of the fabric and the cost it was really reasonable. I ended up getting an iced horchata matcha, they were really busy inside and a lot of people with really cute drinks and food. I'll definitely have to come back to try food food or a pastry. We waited outside and when my drink came I was so stoked. the horchata flavor with the matcha was nice, it wasn't too over powering in my opinion and was actually needed for how hot the day was becoming. Visited this neighborhood spot a while ago on a Sunday afternoon. The vibe and overall aesthetic of this cafe stands out from its many competitors down La Mesa blvd. It is definitely cute and it provides lots of instagrammable photos. However, their drinks and food is incredibly underwhelming. We had waffles with fruit and cream on top, and it tasted like something I could have made at home. The waffle tasted like frozen Eggo popped into the toaster. There wasn't anything about their offerings that impressed me so I haven't been back for another visit since. I hope they can work on the taste and quality of their food! read more

The cotton candy wasn't what I expected it looked like they just ripped it from a bag of store bought cotton candy and put it around the straw. It wasn't fluffy at all and seemed a bit stale. The girl at the counter wasn't very knowledgeable of the menu either when asked what comes in the drinks. The lemonade had very little ice, it was warm until about half way through, and had no flavor tasted watered down, I got 2 different ones and both tasted the same basically like water you wouldn't be able to tell the difference if you were blindfolded. Very very pink! Was invited to try this cafe. Nice and accommodating staff. The decor is definitely pink, with a theme and interactive decor. However the drinks lack the hype. First I ordered rose milk tea which tasted like pure chemical syrup. Whatever rose matcha product or recipe used is not good. I have had this drink at many other places and this was the worst rendition. Please update the recipe but the regular matcha oat latte was decent. The staff was accommodating and swapped drink option. Furthermore, the pecan bar reminded me of pecan pie. They warmed the pecan bar which tasted like home. I enjoyed it better than the drinks.
