I've been to Spacebar (currently known as SPACEBAR Cafe & Wine Bistro) several times because it's an awesome community-focused spot with greaaat healthy food options at reasonable prices. Importantly, I keep going back because of the welcoming atmosphere and super friendly owner/staff. I especially looove it when there's an event like live jazz music, comedy open mics, etc. going on there for the community and don't want to forget private events they offer catering for. As much as I pass this place, I thought it was a game store. Stopped in today with my friend and the food was great!! I had the chicken and waffles and, man... perfectly seasoned and hot! Also had a mocha frappacino which was delicious. I looked at what others ordered, like a salad, an acai bowl, and a variety of other delicious items on the menu. This cafe and wine bistro does not disappoint! They have a great selection of beers, wines, smoothies, coffees, expressos, teas, and juices. There is also a food menu and they have delicious pastries, cookies, cakes, etc. Mr. Frank and his team are very customer service oriented. This is a wonderful place to study, watch football, have private event, and just to enjoy a meal or snack. The vibe is great. Events here are max of 50 people. Went in today during lunch. I got a house salad with balsamic dressing and I added chicken. I also ordered an iced red eye coffee. The salad was perfect and delicious. The coffee was just as great. I was going to take my lunch back to work, but the ambiance was just right for a nice relaxing lunch with great background music. The open sign was on. The doors were open. The TV and the lights were on. I went in to get a coffee at 6pm. The owner sitting at the bar told me that they're not open. This place was a nice little surprise find on a Sunday morning! The young lady helping us was very patient and helpful, as this was our first visit here. She even helped me save $1 on my sandwich by ordering from the Sunday brunch menu. My lox, tomato, onions, and capers with cream cheese on an everything bagel was delicious! The bagel was fresh and soft. In all the right ways. All the parts were in tasty harmony. My husband said his egg, bacon, and everything bagel was good too - and the bonus of fresh fruit on the side. The atmosphere is very chill and comfortable, with the accent of fresh yellow roses on each table. I can imagine later in the day/night, especially with live music, this place gets busier but hangs on to that vibe. We'll have to check it out! read more

I've always driven/walked by this place whenever I'm around the area and wanted to try it. I have visited this cafe several times and they have never failed me. My recent visit, I got an iced coffee with a turkey croissant sandwich. Man, I haven't had a sandwich that great in a very long time. Tasted fresh and the sauce used in it was perfect. Their service is great as well, very attentive. I also love the atmosphere as well. Haven't had an actual late night drink there yet but I'm looking forward to it ! read more

Went to a standup comedy event here called "Fourth Friday". Quaint cafe. Food was kind of mid, but the great vibes and excellent drinks more than made up for it. There was a really good comedian there who was wearing a shirt with the word "biscuits" on it. I think her name was Chrissy? She was so funny. Long review because I noticed that the owner reads the reviews, and I want him to know what it's like to visit his business for a first time customer. Summary: Surprisingly cute indoor space, good menu, delicious coffee, atrocious and insulting service. I popped to check out the place after taking my cats to the vet. I found the location from a paid deal site I use (Entertainment) I ordered a latte and cake, and the cheaper item was supposed to be free up to $5. The woman working the register had no idea how to honor the promotion, and was very rude to me about it. They asked me to wait. 10min later, no one had helped me. An alternative staff member came and made my coffee. Another 15-20min passes, still no cake served, still no follow up about the correct payment. The rain picked up and I started to worry about my cats in the car for sooooo long, so I pop out to check on them. Orginal staff woman runs out to tell me to pay, as if I hadn't been BY THE REGISTER trying to pay for half an hour. We get inside, and she rings me up again, then tries to refuse the coupon because I hit "redeem now" IN FRONT OF HER , and it showed redeemed, along with the refemption code and date. The woman then accuses me of trying to run out on the bill when I went to check on the cats, ( I hadn't even been served half my order) and tried to charge me full price again. She did this loudly, publically, and said "yeah right" when I told her about the cats. It was awful. I left offended and angry. Both the latte and cake were delicious, which helped my mood. Also- They have no idea where their own products come from (I asked the source of the baked goods, she said "some big company"). Frank- this woman on staff will send your potential regulars running! I am a local business owner looking for a spot to work and bring clients. Your place is perfect, except for the rudeness and inefficiency or the service. So when I do a review, I look for a few things. I look for the food, service, and ambiance. The service here is easy because you order at the desk. The food was really really tasty. I'll give it another star just for that. I've had a lot of cheese boards before, but this cheese board had many different notes and flavors greater than your usual cheese and crackers. However, the most star earner for me is date-ability. This is a hidden gem. They had live music so you can bring a date here. I would give this place seven stars, if I could. read more

Really nice place on University. Always passed by but never went inside and I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere! There's a lot of chill jazz/bossa nova music playing and it's a pretty cozy cafe. I only got a drink to share with my friend but it was pretty good, and we got served as soon as the drink was completed. Spacebar was a good walk away from the place I was staying (visiting from the Bay Area). I recommend the vanilla latte, although they have other flavors! When you walk in, it's a converted restaurant-to-cafe. They follow Covid regulations and bring the coffee out to you if you need. read more

Absolutely loved my açaí smoothie, it's so delicious and they top it with granola for an extra crunch! The tuna sandwich is also one of my favorites. One thing about this spot is it takes quite a bit of time to get your food and drinks, it's super busy and on a corner of a really busy street.
