Really enjoyed my visit to Tyne Coffee. The iced latte with house vanilla was delicious - smooth and not overly sweet. There's plenty of seating and the overall vibe is airy and pleasant. Comfortable, inviting, and a great place to relax or get some work done. Looking forward to coming back!

Second time visiting this cute neighborhood coffee shop. It's tucked away in an industrial part of El Cajon but we found it welcoming and peaceful. Plenty of spaces to sit and catch up with friends, study, work or just relax. Staff is friendly, coffee is yum and food is delish! Great local shop to visit and support.

This place is so solid!! Was in the area for some appts and needed some breakfast and caffeine. Thru my trusty app, I stumbled upon this cafe around 930am on a Friday and had a handful of people and a short line, but never became overly or uncomfortably crowded. Plus this place is surprisingly big. I stopped in for an iced dirty chai latte and Lox salmon bagel. Everything tasted so good. Latte tasted great and woke me up. The bagel was perfect for me; the amount of lox and cream cheese (a lot of it mmm) and their bagel tasted homemade? Not sure if it is or they buy it and toast it super good, but I really enjoyed it. Love the decor of the shop and bought me a sticker for a souvenir. Service is nice from each employee. Coffee took about 5 min and the bagel took about 15 min and I thought it was worth the wait.

A cute coffee shop tucked away in a bunch of business offices-- a true gem. We got a Vanilla Latte with Honey Cold Foam & Lavender Matcha with Honey Cold Foam. You truly cannot go wrong with Honey Cold Foam. My matcha was a little milkier than I prefer but flavor was good. I actually enjoyed the latte better. My partner also said their food is really good but unfortunately their kitchen was closed when we came in.

Came in on a quiet afternoon. The two young ladies behind the counter didn't really make any effort to welcome us in or make us feel like we weren't disturbing them by being there. However, the iced oat milk vanilla lattes were solid. The space is definitely small and tucked away in the industrial district of El Cajon offered a rather peaceful ambience.

Seems like a place for young people to sit in. I'm middle aged so I took it to go. The coffee was amazing. Affordable prices for robust and smooth coffee. The barista was friendly as well as the cashier. This will be a spot I frequent.

Quiet coffee shop in an industrial area, perfect for enjoying some solo time of quiet conversation with a friend. There is a main road right next to it but doesn't get a lot of traffic. The inside is pretty small but designed with a great aesthetic. There is a comfortable seating area on one side, with a few small tables on the other. They also have outdoor seating and picnic tables with shade structures. Servers were very friendly and took my order quickly. Because I was sitting outside though, I had to come in to check on my order myself. There was an issue with my order (it came iced when I ordered hot), but they very quickly remedied it and bumped me to the top of their coffee making list so that I didn't have to wait longer. Their dressed avocado toast was perfect - loved every bite. Toast wasn't too hard, perfect flavor, not too much salt or red pepper. I opted for the pumpkin spice latte from their fall menu. It was good but tasted for maple than pumpkin, which I didn't mind but was just unexpected. Prices are fair, I would say even moderate compared to other places nowadays.

Second visit and still love this little Oasis, even more so now that they've opened up more space. They have two little Nookie type areas and an outdoor aside from the main floor. They must want me to come back because this time I stopped by, hoping to get some breakfast, but the kitchen was down. Happily, they still had great alternatives. Ordered a Cortado and burrito. The burritos are small almost grilled taco side. It's still good. I only ordered one thinking it would be huge, but definitely want to take advantage of their deal in getting 2 for $6. Then again, this may not be an ongoing item. I went around 10 AM and it was moderately busy on a Thursday. The good bad problem is I expect they're gonna become very popular so I hope there's still room if I come to study. Lol. Definitely worth checking out.

I came back to try a few more of the food and drink options, I got the loaded bagel with sausage and my boyfriend got the lox bagel. Both were really yummy and I think I like this place for their food more than their specialty drinks. We got the matcha latte and fog on the Tyne but both were a bit too watery for our liking. I would mostly recommend this place for their food and coffee options!

Ambiance is great. Music not so loud a couple of counter seats and two tables and a lounge area to hangout. This coffeeshop is an extension of a Bike Store so its decor is geared towards that type. We ordered a Hot Matcha Latte and it was amazing. Great matcha quality. Service is outstanding.

Great vibe!! Plenty of places to sit and visit, or do work, or just relax! Staff was super friendly and the coffees were great. Even their drip black coffee was super good!! Highly recommend!

Looked up a coffee shop just to get some breakfast and a chai and this place came up. I'd never heard of it and it's tucked in a corner, but it was definitely worth it. This place is so inviting and chill. It's a vibe

I have been to Tyne coffee twice. First I want to see the cappuccino's are excellent. And the two barista I have met were very friendly and professional. The coffee shop is in a business area. Thus the views outside are not showing enhancing. The decor is nicely done, but on both visits it was like a library. There is no vibe. Very clean some of the furniture is not so comfortable. I can't argue with the price or the size of the cappuccinos because they're excellent. But the scenery is very limited as I said, and it's almost library like quiet inside. I wish they could move to downtown. I like a coffee shop I can go to which has a good vibe but not woke in overdrive. I'll be back.

Food: Well, okay... we came here once and my daughter got chicken and waffles. It was SO good…read morethat she begged us to come back. The rest of our food was okay, nothing amazing, but solid. So we got back a second time and sit down to order, "Chicken and waffles please" - they are out of chicken. Oof! Strike 1. That sucks. She was disappointed but she got something else and we shrugged it off. Then about 2 weeks back we came in again... this time I asked first, "Do you have chicken for the chicken and waffles?" They are out of waffles. Oof! Strike 2! And isn't it just batter? I don't get it. We didn't stay that time because my daughter was visibly sad this time. So I think we are done trying or else this just becomes a running gag we try to get out of, like Groundhogs Day or something... Atmosphere: It's cozy inside. I love all of the details, like the wood carvings and all of the bear stuff. It's like you're in a log cabin. And I like that they have paper menus and throw them away (because plastic reusable menus are germ magnets). The newspaper-esque theme is pretty cool too. Price: It's no more expensive than say, Dennys or Ihop. Middle of the road and they have lots of options. A decent meal for two - 50$. Service: Each time we have been, the servers have been great. Nice servers and even when the guy had to tell us they were out of chicken, he was super apologetic. No complaints on the service. Overall: It's a nice place... when they have the advertised food. So I honestly don't know if we will be back or not. Maybe we will give it a shot but I don't want my daughter to be disappointed again. I get it, if it was something they only made 50 of a day, I'd understand. But... chicken and waffles? Hmmm...

There were several quirky cute diners in the area so it was tough to choose. Ultimately, Izzy's menu excited me more than the others. I love the barbecue brunch thing going on, too. Very unique and we totally would've tried some ribs had we not gone to Phil's for the first time the night before and had a ton of leftovers. We split a Country Benny and the Jalapeño scramble, which had their homemade pulled pork in it. Julie was an outstanding server. Super patient, attentive, and helpful. You can choose muffins or coffee cake (only $1 extra!) instead of toast, which I love by the way, but I really appreciated that she asked if I had tried the coffee cake because it's not what I thought it was. She explained it as more of a vanilla cupcake with nuts and white icing? Which is kinda random that they call it coffee cake, but it made us opt for the zucchini muffin which was definitely the right choice. Moist, warm, and delicious to nibble on while we waited for the rest of our meal. She also asked if we needed anything else, like salsa, when our entrees came. Which, I usually alwayyys have to request but she was 2 steps ahead of us. The Bloody Mary was tasty and just strong enough to start our afternoon. I'm a huge sucka for biscuits & gravy and theirs really hit the spot. The sausage patty was so good and definitely homemade. Perfectly poached eggs harmoniously smothered in yummy gravy and fluffy biscuits. Crispy hashbrowns, great country potatoes. The scramble was good, too. Pulled pork had a nice smoky flavor and I've never seen nor had it with eggs before which is awesome. The portions were just right. Not huge, but we got full and everything tasted great so what more can you ask for? The deep fried pie! Duh. Super bummed we didn't take a peach one home...

The place feels lively in a calm and familiar way that teenagers would appreciate a lot because it has that friendly neighborhood energy that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. I noticed right away that there were a lot of teenagers eating there, talking with each other, and enjoying their time without feeling watched or rushed. Seeing that made me realize how naturally this cafe fits into the kind of environment teenagers love, somewhere they can relax, laugh, and feel like they belong. The food at Bonnys Cafe surprised me in the best way. It tasted exactly like the kind of comforting breakfast you hope for when you walk into a classic cafe, and it made the whole experience feel even more inviting. Even though the dishes are simple, they have that homemade flavor that teenagers would enjoy because it feels real and not overly fancy. The atmosphere inside is bright and open, and the staff treat everyone with the same kindness, which makes it easy for teenagers to feel comfortable being themselves there. As I walked around and looked at the different tables, I did not realize how much there was to appreciate about the place until I took a moment to really take it in. It is the kind of cafe where you can sit for a while without feeling like you need to hurry up and leave. I really appreciated how easy it was to enjoy my time there without any pressure. I never doubted that the experience was going to turn out the way I hoped it would because everything about the cafe, from the food to the atmosphere, felt genuine and welcoming. I only visited Bonnys Cafe one time in my life before making this review, but it left a strong impression on me. It was one of the most comfortable and inviting cafes I have been to in a long time, and I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a place to eat good food, hang out with friends, and feel relaxed. I lived for 24 years. I am not physically or mentally 24 years old. In the summertime in the year 2024, I learned that I am still physically and mentally 18 years old. I also learned in the summer that year that my prefrontal cortex is way more developed than average 25 year olds prefrontal cortex in the human brain.
