After I grueling 13hr over night shift I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a coffee shop. The food was fresh hot and amazing, the service was absolutely warm and welcoming, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambience was extremely relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The barista Josh greeted me with a smile and sincerity, and gave me outstanding recommendations. Food was 10/10. HIRE MORE JOSH'S!!

This unassuming place is tucked into an industrial area in El Cajon. I have driven past it so many times and finally made the stop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop is super spacious and inviting with some great seating areas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait to go back with my book and a little more time to hang out. I grabbed a cold brew on the run and my friend got a flat white. Both drinks were really good. They were well balanced and smooth with good flavor. The service was fast and friendly. I can see this becoming my spot in East County when I need a good coffee and some down time.

Tucked away in a commercial area is this unique little coffee shop, it's bigger inside than it looks on the outside. I had the brown sugar oatmilk latte & a bacon sarnie. The coffee was really good and the sarnie was good also BUT it was only half a sandwich & for the price I was expecting the whole sandwich. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice spot, good coffee, nice staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Thank you! I have been struggling to find good coffee in east county. I love places that truly care for the craft and this guy gets it. Never have to fight for parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]AC is cold.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the decor is stunning![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm such a sucker for a good coffee/study spot

This place is so solid!! Was in the area for some appts and needed some breakfast and caffeine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thru my trusty app, I stumbled upon this cafe around 930am on a Friday and had a handful of people and a short line, but never became overly or uncomfortably crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plus this place is surprisingly big.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I stopped in for an iced dirty chai latte and Lox salmon bagel. Everything tasted so good. Latte tasted great and woke me up. The bagel was perfect for me; the amount of lox and cream cheese (a lot of it mmm) and their bagel tasted homemade? Not sure if it is or they buy it and toast it super good, but I really enjoyed it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the decor of the shop and bought me a sticker for a souvenir.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is nice from each employee. Coffee took about 5 min and the bagel took about 15 min and I thought it was worth the wait.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A cute coffee shop tucked away in a bunch of business offices-- a true gem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got a Vanilla Latte with Honey Cold Foam & Lavender Matcha with Honey Cold Foam. You truly cannot go wrong with Honey Cold Foam. My matcha was a little milkier than I prefer but flavor was good. I actually enjoyed the latte better. My partner also said their food is really good but unfortunately their kitchen was closed when we came in.

Came in on a quiet afternoon. The two young ladies behind the counter didn't really make any effort to welcome us in or make us feel like we weren't disturbing them by being there. However, the iced oat milk vanilla lattes were solid. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is definitely small and tucked away in the industrial district of El Cajon offered a rather peaceful ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Quiet coffee shop in an industrial area, perfect for enjoying some solo time of quiet conversation with a friend. There is a main road right next to it but doesn't get a lot of traffic. The inside is pretty small but designed with a great aesthetic. There is a comfortable seating area on one side, with a few small tables on the other. They also have outdoor seating and picnic tables with shade structures. Servers were very friendly and took my order quickly. Because I was sitting outside though, I had to come in to check on my order myself. There was an issue with my order (it came iced when I ordered hot), but they very quickly remedied it and bumped me to the top of their coffee making list so that I didn't have to wait longer. Their dressed avocado toast was perfect - loved every bite. Toast wasn't too hard, perfect flavor, not too much salt or red pepper. I opted for the pumpkin spice latte from their fall menu. It was good but tasted for maple than pumpkin, which I didn't mind but was just unexpected. Prices are fair, I would say even moderate compared to other places nowadays.

Really enjoyed my visit to Tyne Coffee. The iced latte with house vanilla was delicious - smooth and not overly sweet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of seating and the overall vibe is airy and pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Comfortable, inviting, and a great place to relax or get some work done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Looking forward to coming back!

Second time visiting this cute neighborhood coffee shop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's tucked away in an industrial part of El Cajon but we found it welcoming and peaceful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of spaces to sit and catch up with friends, study, work or just relax.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is friendly, coffee is yum and food is delish! Great local shop to visit and support.

Ambiance is great. Music not so loud a couple of counter seats and two tables and a lounge area to hangout. This coffeeshop is an extension of a Bike Store so its decor is geared towards that type. We ordered a Hot Matcha Latte and it was amazing. Great matcha quality. Service is outstanding.

    Inside - expansion in process!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Second visit and still love this little Oasis, even more so now that they've opened up more space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have two little Nookie type areas and an outdoor aside from the main floor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They must want me to come back because this time I stopped by, hoping to get some breakfast, but the kitchen was down. Happily, they still had great alternatives. Ordered a Cortado and burrito. The burritos are small almost grilled taco side. It's still good. I only ordered one thinking it would be huge, but definitely want to take advantage of their deal in getting 2 for $6. Then again, this may not be an ongoing item. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went around 10 AM and it was moderately busy on a Thursday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The good bad problem is I expect they're gonna become very popular so I hope there's still room if I come to study.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lol. Definitely worth checking out.

I came back to try a few more of the food and drink options, I got the loaded bagel with sausage and my boyfriend got the lox bagel. Both were really yummy and I think I like this place for their food more than their specialty drinks. We got the matcha latte and fog on the Tyne but both were a bit too watery for our liking. I would mostly recommend this place for their food and coffee options!

A special thank you to Olivea, Monica, and Noska, who made my visit even better. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They made me a pistachio frappé exactly the way I wanted it, and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had--rich, creamy, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. It's rare to find a café with both amazing drinks and exceptional customer service, but Shaghf Café definitely delivers on both. If you're looking for a place with a great atmosphere, delicious beverages, and staff who genuinely care about making your experience memorable, I highly recommend stopping by. Rude staff and a very disappointing experience…read more My friend ordered a Lotus frappe, and unfortunately, it was not good at all. It tasted more like crushed cookies than an actual frappe, and she was literally chewing on pieces of ice. Since we've ordered the Lotus frappe here before and it was perfectly fine, we figured this was simply an issue with how the drink was made this time. I politely asked if the drink could be remade as a caramel frappe instead, since we knew that one was good. Instead, we were told, "We can't do that, you would have to pay." I'm sorry, but why would we pay again for a drink that was made poorly the first time? We weren't asking for a free drink just because we changed our minds. We were asking for the original drink to be corrected because it was genuinely not drinkable. What really made the situation worse was being told, "We're not a chain like Starbucks to just remake drinks... this will go to waste." Respectfully, if the concern is that the drink will "go to waste," perhaps the better solution would be to make sure the drink is prepared correctly in the first place. I understand that businesses don't want to waste product, but making a customer pay for another drink after receiving one that was poorly made doesn't exactly feel like great customer service either. I'm not expecting the "customer is always right" treatment, and I'm certainly not trying to be difficult. But when a customer genuinely cannot enjoy what they were served, the reasonable thing would be to offer a solution rather than essentially tell them, "Sorry, pay again." We've had good experiences here before, which is why this was especially disappointing. Hopefully this was just an off day, because the way this was handled left a much worse taste than the frappe did.

I needed a quick coffee to end my day and after searching the best coffee in La Mesa, Red White and Badass Brew was the first to pop up. The owner was super nice-I didn't get his name-and he walked with me through the menu as I haven't had specialty coffee drinks like these before. I went with his recommendation of the whiskey latte (iced) and also decided to try the toasted tan lines (iced) When I tell you, my first sip transported me back to the 2013-2016 era of coffee culture when specialty drinks were first starting to get popular, I am being so serious. Both the whiskey latte and toasted tan lines were full of so much flavor. The toasted tan lines took me straight back to my trip to Kauai in 2013 and the whiskey latte was reminiscent of a latte I would get in middle school from a Brazilian small business. There was just something so nostalgic about these lattes that I had to immediately write a review. So many coffee shops lack the flavor of the 2010s before companies cut corners and scraped for our pennies, but not here Thanks for the coffee! My partner got the horchata matcha with extra matcha. Even my drink at half sweet was too sweet for my taste but still enjoyable. Not a strong banana flavor though. More caramel forward. My partner loved his drink but did say it was more horchata than matcha.
