Yes, I give this place 5 stars the coffee at this small mom & pop shop brews fresh coffee. I've been to the location downtown but this is where the magic happens. The roasting of the beans that are done right behind the counter. They have all the standard flavors and dairy free options. They also have decaf options in small, medium and large cups. I usually get the chai coffee during the week and there is a small morning rush but the coffee is worth the wait. They have croissants, muffins and avocado toast. There is street parking and you can enjoy coffee indoors or outside on their tables. This used to be just the roaster warehouse then they added the coffee shop for patrons. Enjoy! read more

The staff were so helpful and answered all of my million questions lol! It's really cool that they roast their own coffee beans and that you can see it behind the counter. They have a cool book shelf display inside as well and a nice patio outside for the fur babies to enjoy! We got the Aloha (iced) and Pistachio Honey (iced) with warm blueberry muffins. So.bomb! Neither were bitter. If you like more of a coffee flavor, the Aloha would be a great choice. If you like sweeter (not overly sweet) then the pistachio honey is a great choice. What an unexpected treat when you pull into the business park! This cute coffee shop is a little secluded but has such warm vibe. There's a patio space before you enter the coffee shop and the design inside is welcoming. They have bookshelves with books going up to the ceiling and a glass window to see where they roast their coffee. The barista who took my order was friendly and gave me a recommendation. When I was shopping in Santee, California, I wanted to try a different and unique coffee spot, so I stopped by Coffee & Talk. It is hidden away in a small business district and has something special, their own roasting ware-house connected to the shop, which means the coffee is incredibly fresh. The aromas floating through the air is so delicious of the freshly-roasted coffee! As soon as I walked in, I found the place cute and cozy. The décor included both real and fake greenery, a cute bookshelf, and pages from books hanging along the wall with lights intertwined, giving the place a warm and creative atmosphere. It's a comfortable spot where you can relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee. I ordered a coffee called the "Aloha" latte which was amazing. It reminded me of being on a tropical island with the bold sweet and tropical flavor notes to the coffee . It had Coconut and Macadamia flavors in it . The coffee was absolutely delicious, and they also offer pastries. I ordered the almond croissant, which was both SO tasty and satisfying. They have tea also hot or cold. The beans and tea is for sale too which is a great offering! I WANTED to add they have a rewards program . When you sign up with your phone number and email address, you earn points every visit. After ten points (ten visits) you get five dollars off. If you're heading to Santee and looking for a unique, relaxing, and comfortable place with mellow music playing in the background, to grab delicious and the freshest coffee, this is definitely a spot worth visiting. My third visit, and my stars continue to set. A large cappuccino appears to be a small one with more milk; it should have more coffee too. We came at noon but almost all the pastries were already gone; the avocado toast was awful; a bagel with cream cheese was ok but not really a great bagel and there was only an onion still available. I came here by a friend's recommendation. I'd never heard of it, and I love a new coffee place, so I was excited to try it! Firstly: it is in the industrial business area so there are lots of big trucks and semis. One actually blocked me in my parking space for a couple of minutes-I was waiting for my coffee at the time, but just be mindful that could be an issue if you're pressed for time. Anywayyyyy, when I walked in, the two baristas were talking and I wasn't greeted, fine whatever, I was looking at the menu trying to figure out what sounded good anyway. After about a minute, I walked up to the counter and was ready to order. The girls were still talking and I wasn't acknowledged at all. I felt like I had to almost fake cough or something until one finally made eye contact with me and motioned to the other to take my order. I finally ordered, and of course I left a tip as i always do. And don't get me wrong, I looooove chisme as much as the next girly pop, but like just a note moving forward: please acknowledge the customers. You guys can continue talking, but I shouldn't have to wait until you have a breath in your conversation. I only mention this because the same. Exact. Thing. We LOVE this coffee shop in Santee. It's by far the best tasting coffee in East County. The staff is extremely friendly and quick. Not to mention they are talented artists! My husband opts for the horchata latte 1/2 sweet and I typically get the honey pistachio or honey lavender latter 1/2 sweet. Super creamy and doesn't taste burnt. Great experience at this charming coffee shop located in a secluded industrial area of Santee. The patio with that wondrous tree is an added bonus of charm and character. Decoration is very cute, all that fake library going to the ceiling is fun, as well as some other items in the shop. I love that when you first walk in they have the clear glass so you can see where they roast their beans! I also love that you when you walk in you are welcomed with this beautiful book case that arches over the ceiling! I really enjoyed their aloha latte and thought that you could really taste the notes of the coconut and Mac nut. All of their coffee is roasted in house delivering that freshness flavor that you very much deserve. The pastries are next level and all made in-house, you can also request to warm them up. I tried the pumpkin Horchata iced latte, it was a little sweet, but it was definitely what I was looking for during this autumn season. It is a very new location, sort of in a industrial area so it's kind of hidden. The parking lot is a little small, but there's definitely parking available. The inside of the café is also a little small, but they are still doing more construction and are expanding the cafe. I'll most definitely be coming back, I'm hoping to grab one of their spiral croissants that sell out quickly. read more

Nestled in the business district of Santee you'll find Coffeentalk. Went in here on a week day around 9am after the morning rush. Was greeted by the owner of the shop who was very helpful and polite. The interior was very clean and had an almost Harry Potter feel to it with the hanging book pages on the ceiling and a curved book shelf that challenged physics. The great thing about this coffee shop is they roast their own beans. They also have a plethora of coffee from different parts of the world and different loose leaf teas that you can purchase. The coffee here was really nice. Very smooth and didn't have a burnt taste that you commonly run into with some coffee shops. They have a selection of pastries that you can pick from as well, but most were already gone by time I got there. Most likely from the morning rush. Hoping to try their ube croissant next time. I ordered a rose honey coffee--large iced with almond milk--thinking I was in for something floral and fancy. Walked into the shop and immediately caught a weird smell. Should've taken that as my "turn around now" moment, but nope, I powered through. The barista warned me the drink had four shots of espresso. Challenge accepted. First sip? It was like I face-planted into a rose bush while my grandma spritzed me with her strongest perfume. The floral taste was so intense it felt like I was drinking potpourri. Cute little hide-a-way in an industrial park in Santee/El Cajon . You almost need to be in the know to find it. It's located in a warehouse where coffee is roasted and distributed. Very comfortable vibe inside. Great for casual business meetings, conversation and relaxing - except for the airplanes! (Just make sure your computer is fully charged as there are no outlets.) It's near a small airfield which makes it noisy when the airport is active. Had a yummy iced pistachio honey latte. Mom enjoyed a raspberry herbal tea. It smelled good, tastes like regular black tea with a hint of raspberry. We also had a raspberry cream cheese muffin which was ok. Blackery items are from one of their other locations so you know they're fresh. On a Sunday at noon they were a bit light on bakery items but that may be because it's a new location. And, because they're so new, we had the luxury of being the only ones there! Pricing is as expected for gourmet coffee, just a bit more than Starbucks making it pricy but not outrageous. As it's a relatively new, I hope more people find and support it 'cause selfishly, I'd like more food choices! ;-) read more

The flavor offerings are wonderful and the baked goods/ pastries are also a delight. In a nutshell, this is a good coffee shop with minor issues. I have come here multiple times and have always felt welcome and have been given exceptional customer service. The owner is very kind and takes the time to get to know the customers and let them know their thoughts and concerns are heard. I have tried different lattes here and the Aloha is by far my favorite. It is a blend of coconut powder, macadamia nut, milk, and espresso. Perfect combination and the only place I have found where the temperature is to my liking. Not scolding hot, and not cold. It is warm enough that it doesn't burn my lips, but I can drink it right away. A must try! The place is clean, there is indoor and outdoor seating available, and free parking. This place is in a large warehouse, which is why it is freezing inside. I would love to sit and enjoy my coffee but have found the morning cold air uncomfortable to enjoy. I have been here on 3 different occasions at the posted opening time to find this place closed =(. I have even waited 15-30 minutes to see if they were running late but was only disappointed.
