*Lovely coffee shop and space *Thoughtfully sourced coffee that also reflects in their creative seasonal drink menu and the rich flavor from their drinks *Bakery items to include fresh empanadas served here... it was tempting to order a second empanada and the pumpkin muffin was so soft and yum. *Parking is a bit challenging... they do ask if you are going to be working or hanging out on your computer to park on the street so that others can hop in for a short bit- I do appreciate the ask and those who do acknowledge the request *Indoor and outdoor seating available
Came here on a Friday morning and it's pretty busy. There's parking in the plaza and I was able to find parking. I liked the cappuccino (medium to darker roast)but the ham and cheese croissant was not good. Bathroom was spacious and inside the cafe and there's also some outdoor seatings.
I stopped by Jaunt Coffee Roasters after having heard good things from a couple people in passing. What you'll notice first is the somewhat difficult parking situation--it's in a lot with a number of other popular businesses, so parking can be sparse. That said, this is some of the best coffee in San Diego. It's worth the parking situation. I ordered an oat milk cortado and a whole milk latte. Both were delicious--balanced, flavorful, and showcasing serious attention to detail. My mom said the latte was one of the best she has ever had. The store itself has a cute and fun interior that's welcoming. They have tons of seating, including booths, high-tables, and even a big wrap lounge chair. The staff are really friendly and helpful people who smile, offer suggestions, and engage you authentically. Overall, highly recommend Jaunt to all coffee lovers (and even the casual dabblers).
Heard this place does coffee subscriptions so we were curious and decided to stop by. Tried their orange ginger cold brew and their seasonal smoked rosemary cappuccino. Both were refreshing and very tasty. Highly recommend both. The service was fantastic. Everyone that worked there was kind and lovely but special shout out to John who excitedly explained all of the different beans (we wanted to take a bag home) and their specialty drink options. He was patient with all of our questions and very knowledgeable about where to steer us. It looked like they had empanadas but they also have cheesecake! We got a slice of the biscoff cheesecake and it was hella tasty. A lot of people were in here working which was nice. There are a lot of seating options and the AC was on which was ALSO very nice. They also have outdoor seating as well. It's in an unassuming industrial building but because of that parking is plentiful!
Service is friendly and the place is always bustling, but I find their drinks to be veryyy milky. I always order their iced Rose Vanilla Latte and though it's usually milk forward, my most recent visit was such a disappointment (see attached photo). The color of the latte was noticeably off due to the high volume of milk. It just tasted like flavored milk with a hint of coffee. The empanadas are decent and the salsa that comes with them has quite a kick, but I really only come here out of convenience as there aren't many coffee shops in the area. Parking is usually a little bit tough, but you can always count on finding street parking a short walk away. Overall, not a place that I'd recommend if I'm looking for a good latte.
Just an amazing vibe! At first I was a little overwhelmed with the parking and the amount of people in such a small space, however Jaunt got it together. From the service to the coffee and good food it was a 10/10! The team moved fast, but listens and helps get you moving. I will definitely be back.
Just meh. Stopped in during our San Diego stay. The guy over the counter taking our order had dry demeanor, perhaps it was getting close to his shift ending and we strolled in. My latte lack substance. Not sure about my teen's chai because it was almost 3/4 full still when she tossed it out at our next destination. Overall, not worth the stop.
WuzupWuzup! This place has to be one of my favorite go to places. I love their cold brew thats infused with Orange and ginger. Literally my favorite off the menu, but decided to try something new. I got the pina cold brew that had Yuzu, Pineapple and coconut cold foam. Interesting combo with so many flavors that test your taste buds. If you're looking for a nice summer drink, I suggest trying this one out. Another drink i got was the Vanilla with banana cold foam with toffee. The banana cold foam literally taste like a frozen banana, crazy right? Cold foam is perfect right amount of sweetness with that strong banana flavor. Place can be packed over the weekend, so arrive early or expect a little wait, but generally it moves fast. The pastries are very popular along with the Empanadas. The strawberry orange (GF) Muffin was good. Moist, flavorful and perfect pairing of both flavors.
Awfully amazing coffee. So smooth, and super easy to drink. I got the vanilla+hazelnut latte and it was the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. The orange ginger cold brew is also good as well! The caramel black salt latte packs a punch if you're feeling a little salty, haha. I love the little ergonomic ice cups they give, usually when you see these, you know the coffee is going to be great! They also sell coffee beans inside the shop. Lots of indoor seating and nice place to study and hang out for a small date. The cafe workers are incredibly sweet and they take orders swiftly. This is my top spot for coffee!
The place is nestled in a shared building space with a brewery, a cake place, and a salsa place. It has an awesome feel when you walk in, and the staff was very knowledgeable. I'm a chai fanatic but being vegan some times I can't order chai because they add honey. The informed me that they make it inhouse and that most of their concentrates and syrups are already vegan friendly unless there isn't an option for alternative milks for that specific drink. My husband also ordered his go to Vanilla Oat Milk Latte, the atmosphere alone will make me want to come back. The Chai was really good, and their vanilla oat latte was tasty too. Will definitely be back.
I love jaunt! The cinnamon cardamom latte is outstanding - not too sweet and has a wonderful coffee flavor. The pastries are always fresh and delicious! It's one of my favorite spots to grab a bag of coffee (usually roasted within the last couple days!) or grab a breakfast treat!! Stop in if you're looking for a great cup of coffee, yummy pastry or a good quality bag of coffee to take home!
A local fav! This popular not-so-hidden coffee shop is always buzzing with people! Every time that I've stopped by, it's been a struggle to both find parking and seating. I guess that's just the trade off of finding a well loved spot. I went for a Mojito Coffee this time which is their cold brew with a splash of mint. Super refreshing and just the kick I needed that morning! Side note: Love all the greenery and personality their decor has! A truly beautiful spot!
My favorite coffee roaster around serving real coffee for the discerning palate. High marks on not only the coffee but also the vibe and the service. Empanadas are worth a try. I've tried them all, and mushroom goat cheese is my favorite. Cant go wrong there. Next to empanadas is an expansive case full of unique pastries. They do run out! Fun flavored lattes and coffees, but my purest self sticks to the latte. Roasted beans available for sale along with lots of small bites. Matriarch beans was tasty for my at-home espresso machine. Been coming for years and they're consistent. Parking is easy enough, it can get busy, but good for them! Minimal outdoor seating.

I love this place and that's I have to stop by here at least 2-3 times a week. From their service to their drinks they really do give a damn about how people feel. One of the girls literally remembers me and my brothers. Him and I never been there together. She just knew by looking at us haha. Honestly she really does give off good energy in the morning to start your day. Theres also a couple of guys always being attentive to giving you any extra things you need behind the counter! The other thing I love about this place is the food! The burritos and pastries are amazing. A bonus I really like is their support for other businesses for example like a local hot sauce company with their food. Or the chocolate they use for their drinks is from a local San Diego company. This is truly amazing!!! You have to stop by and give it a try. The only down side I would say is the parking spaces are very tight but this isn't their fault! read more

I love the creations that this coffee shop comes up with! I tried their seasonal salted vanilla latte with pistachio cold foam, and it was outstanding. If you're bringing your furry friend the outside space is limited. It's a canopy tent with four tables underneath. It does look like this place gets crowded so might be better to leave the pups at home. Additionally I saw that since this place has to negotiate parking space with the other tenants they recommend parking your car on the street if you're planning on working/studying. The parking in the lot is difficult to come by even if you're just swinging by to pick up a beverage. For this reason I give this place a 4, but for their drinks alone it's a solid 5 read more

Highly recommend the ube latte with cream top and a shot of espresso. It was on the special drink menu when I went in March. The ube flavor is very subtle and doesn't taste artificial at all. Also recommend the açaí bowl. The portion is very generous. There are outlets near the indoor tables and the place is clean. The music could be a bit too loud if you are looking for a quiet workplace. read more
I like the unique flavors that Jaunt has such as the ube. I decided to try the iced dirty ube, since I was craving ube but still wanted some caffeine. It was good but I feel like next time I'll stick to getting a latte if I want caffeine, or just get a pure ube drink. The beef empanada was tasty as always. There were a lot of customers so we ended up sitting outside. Luckily, a table in the shade freed up just in time. I also saw that they now serve basque cheesecake slices in classic, ube, and biscoff cookie butter so I'll definitely get a slice next time. Overall, this is a solid place to get coffee and pastries! read more
Jaunt Coffee is easily one of my favorite coffee shops. I've been coming here for the past couple of years and it truly never disappoints. They have amazing coffee with a great variety of flavors, and their pastries are always on point. I also love that they bring in empanadas from a local spot , such a nice touch and perfect if you want something more filling. Since moving to a bigger location a few doors down, there's a ton of space both indoors and outdoors, which makes it a great place to hang out or get some work done. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. It does get crowded and there's almost always a line, but it moves pretty efficiently and is definitely worth the wait. One of my favorite things about this place is their "pay it forward" wall with sticky notes, where people can pre-pay for drinks for others who might need it. Such a thoughtful and community-driven idea. The interior is super cute, they even have books for kids, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Overall, just an all-around amazing spot. One of my absolute favorite coffee shops. read more

Jaunt is so absurdly out of my way and yet I return regularly for their beans for my home system. While I'm there I treat myself to the Black Sea salt caramel latte!!! All the stars. Worth the drive!!!! read more
10/10 would absolutely recommend!! We visited this coffee shop because we wanted to try the Muse Cheesecakes by the slice so we can sample more flavors. That went amazing. The burnt basque cheesecakes--every single flavor--will make your mouth do a crazy happy dance. I'm over the moon that this coffee shop offers that option. But we're not here to talk about the cheesecakes. While we were waiting, I decided to try one of the drink specials they were offering that day. I got the Ube Latte with Salted Vanilla Cold Foam (and espresso). And let me tell you this--it's *the best* ube latte I've had thus far. And I've tried several different ones. It was so creamy and flavorful without it being too sweet. The ube was prominent but not too overwhelming, and the cold foam was super delish and made the drink a bit more decadent. I couldn't pass up the chance to let the barista know how much I loved the drink she made and I definitely need to sing praise for this coffee shop here because it deserves it! On top of that, the seating area was very chic, comfy and vibey. There were enough tables for people who want to hang out while they sipped their drink or caught up with work and whatnot without the place feeling too stifling or cramped. Overall, we'll definitely be back. This coffee shop left such an amazing impression and I'm honestly kicking myself for waiting this long to give them a visit! read more
This place is so nice. The beautiful espresso machines, the wood accents, the plants, it's gorgeous inside. The barista was very friendly and helpful. I love that they ask your sweetness level when you order. I wanted to get my wife a pastry but they were sold out of pretty much everything. I sure they stay busy in the morning and I didn't get there until after 11. I ordered the Cinnamon Cardamom latte which was really good and cinnamon forward. Unfortunately I did not get any of the cardamom flavor which is what I was hoping for and why I ordered it. Either way it was a good latte and I will for sure be back to this place. Hopefully next time earlier and with time to sit and relax. read more

This spot is a hidden gem! The lines are always long! I had the matcha and my friend got the strawberry matcha! They also have seasonal drinks! We were hungry, so got a couple of empanadas to share. They will heat them up for you too! A great cafe for coffee lovers! read more

Very tight space but great cold brew and they even have the option to try a slice of Muse Cheesecake from San diego, which is amazing and a must try if you haven't tried them or if you have, you know why you must. athe Blueberry pie matcha had barely any matcha, more cream than matcha and it is very sweet so if you got that sweet tooth go for it if not I would suggest asking for half the Blueberry syrup and cream. The staff were nice and energetic. read more

10/10 and definitely one of my new favorite coffee roasters in SD! Jaunt Coffee Roasters in a gem in the Miramar industrial area. If you're ever experienced the Portland coffee culture, this is it (just in San Diego). Ambiance is intimate and minimalistic with places to sit and or work with a small section of merch in the front. The menu is amazing--variations of cold brews, latte, drip coffee/tea, pastries, and empanadas. I was torn between the cinnamon cardamom latte and caramel Hawaiian salt latte, and received some great insight from the cashier/barista (they know their stuff). Ended up ordering the cinnamon caramel latte which was not overpowering at all. Excited to try their other menu items next visit! read more
I love supporting local cafes and this one is clearly a popular spot. The vibe is great, very cute and a bunch of tables on the inside and a few on the outside. It's a great place to study and get work done although the weekends can get very busy. In my last visit I had the cinnamon latte which was really great. I should definitely come here more often, lots of parking available. Unfortunately no "for here" cups :( read more

Somebody had recommended this roaster and we finally got the chance to stop by here on our way coming back from Anaheim to San Diego. Place is pretty hidden aways and not that close to main highways. It's located like in a warehouse section of the city. But wow when we got here the place was packed. Lots of parking and all the seating area full outside and inside. Their variety of coffees, teas and some specialty drinks was extensive. Ambiance was relaxed, cozy and buzzing with interesting coffee drinkers. There are tables and other type of seats. They did have food but are limited in their empanadas. They didn't have any left so I couldn't try one We ordered a regular latte and a Cinnamon Cardamon Latte with almond milk. Wow delicious this drink and the coffee bean quality excellent! We ended buying two bags of coffee beans to take home for our expresso machine. Definitely have to come back to try other drinks when I am in the area again. read more
Cute little cafe in the Miralani district. There are a few other stores in the area, so parking can be a little tough depending on the time. Cafe itself has the cutest decor and vibe inside. They sell empanadas, açaí bowls, and other pastries in addition to having special featured drinks. Service was quick and staff were welcoming. Drink/food review: Strawberry matcha: (3/5) I realllllly wanted to like it, but it was just TOO sweet and it really took away from the true matcha flavor of the drink. The strawberry puree was too much, but the cream/powder on top were pretty good. Wouldn't order again. Chicken empanadas: (4/5) I was surprised, this was actually pretty tasty. It was a tiny bit dry inside, but overall had decent flavor. Looks like the empanadas are a hit because they were almost all gone. read more

This is a local coffee shop by my old job. I've gotten dozens of coffees here, and this place is still amazing. It's been 2 years since I've tried their coffee until today and it's even better than I remember. Their empanadas are still delicious but the vanilla iced latte was amazing. They move next door to a bigger and nicer interior. I loved the design and the dark ambiance. The staff is always super friendly and polite and They worked fast to make my order that I placed over the phone. Thank you Jaunts. read more

Is the ube paste for the latte freshly made or artificially flavored syrup ? I'm allergic to the artificial syrup so can't take the chance.
Hi Victoria. I’m not sure what ingredient in artificial syrups you’re allergic to but our Ube syrup in house-made with real ingredients. We currently don’t offer the Ube latte as we have our fall specials out.
