Southwestern Chicken

The latte was tasty, with good espresso and a bit on the sweeter side. The southwestern was simple, I prefer a crustier bread but solid taste. Sandwiches come with a free drip coffee, which was smooth and tasty. Cute and quiet atmosphere. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. There was an older Korean couple running the shop, and they were very nice. The shop was not too busy, so we we got our order pretty quickly.

I ordered a caramel macchiato at Aperture Coffee. It was ok. I wasn't even sure I was at the right place because it's inside a deli. There is a parking lot but also plenty of street parking. The service was ok.

The Americano was great (good beans, better taste than a lot of places). No vegan food options. Would like to see some non-animal options. I tried asking if the hashbrowns were safe. There was some language barrier and wasn't able to confirm or deny. Plenty of seating inside and outside.

Wow! What a great hole-in-the-wall cafe/deli. I was craving a coffee while in Convoy and found this place on Yelp. I thought it was just a coffee spot but I was surprised that they had a full menu of deli sandwiches/soup and refrigerated snacks! Definitely a great spot to stop by on your lunch. I ordered a sweet cream latte and it's sooo good! I love the touch of cinnamon on top. It's not too strong, not bitter/sour at all, and perfectly sweet and creamy while still tasting like coffee. 5/5!! I'll be back when I'm in the area to try their other menu items! :)

We only came here for cofre and not for the food as we are waiting for our kid at dance. The coffee wasn't bad but don't expect gourmet coffee. It's a husband and wife who run the place and they are very sweet and friendly .

Cutest little hole in the wall shop. They're only open until around 3 but it is worth the drive. I ordered an iced lavender latte and it did not disappoint. The espresso was smooth and bold and the syrup was the right amount of sweet. Check them out if your in the area.

First time coming here coming from OC! Lady working there was busy but she managed to make our drinks pretty fast! Would come here again when visiting San Diego. Drinks were also very refreshing and not heavy!

Turkey sandwich

This place was delicious, small family business, excellent to see it so successful, and the sandwich was full and great tasting. They went above and beyond I was waiting in my car, and the sandwich came so fast that the lady brought it out to my car. Truly great service. I would support this mama papa shop when you can

I love this place! I always come for their sweet cream latte, I'm addicted. The cream they add to the top is really good and they dust it with a little bit of cinnamon Their food is also really good, they serve breakfast and lunch and they have a large menu. They open early at 7am and can get pretty busy during lunch.

Good food. Drinks were just okay and I probably wouldn't go back for the drinks but I would go back for the food.

Cappuccino is highly recommended. This place is easy to miss because it is a small café in one of the side roads.

You can immediately tell this is a place built by people who genuinely love what they do. Wonderful staff, incredible hospitality, and a proud culture that deserves to be shared with the world. I absolutely love the fava bean open sandwich. I almost always go for the Arab cold brew, and their Karak is fantastic as well. The Turkish coffee is completely on point. I'm a huge fan. Places like this make many of us proud of our backgrounds, and I truly hope Finjan continues to grow into every corner of San Diego -- and eventually across the country.

I was on the hunt for a good early morning matcha and remembered how much I liked Finjan Coffee at…read moretheir Mission Valley location. It was so good I've recommended it to a bunch of people, so I decided to check out the original Kearny Mesa spot out of respect. In my head, the first location should be even better since that's where it started, but that wasn't the case at all and it ended up being pretty disappointing. I ordered online and it showed a 19 minute wait for just a drink, which felt long for around 6:30 in the morning. I placed it anyway, but when I got there the plaza was basically empty. It's in a quieter area near military and recruitment offices. My drink was already sitting at the pickup counter with my name on it, so I was in and out in seconds. There is some outdoor seating with music playing, which is nice, but I didn't stay long. I ordered the same matcha I got in Mission Valley because it was that memorable. The only difference was dairy milk instead of oat milk, but that shouldn't have changed it this much. The color was the first red flag. It was super light, almost pale green, instead of that bright vibrant green you expect from good matcha. You can usually tell quality just from that. The taste didn't match either. The Mission Valley one had a strong matcha flavor with a slight sweetness from the date syrup, and the knafeh cold foam pulled everything together. This one tasted weak and kind of flat. The cold foam was still good and tasted the same, but that's only a small part of the drink and not enough to save it. Now I'm honestly confused because I've been recommending this drink to people and if they came to this location first, their experience would be completely different. It just didn't live up to what I had before. I'll probably go back to the Mission Valley spot to see if that version is actually the standard, but this one left me pretty let down.

I have already been there twice in the past week, which should tell you how much I enjoy this place. The aesthetic is super neat. I love the decor and the overall vibe. It is colorful, bright, and full of character. They also have board games, and we ended up playing a game of chess, which made the experience even more fun. I have tried a few drinks so far. The double matcha was one of my favorites. I enjoyed it very much. It did not have that overly bitter matcha flavor and was sweet in a really balanced way. I also ordered the Oreo matcha, which was super delicious, refreshing, and tasty. The taro milk tea was good, and the ube cloud coffee was delicious. It actually reminded me of the Vietnamese coffee I usually get in Orange County, so now I do not have to drive all the way there to get something similar. The drinks here are great because they are not overly sweet, which is exactly how I like them. I also tried the purple rice yogurt just to check it out and thought it was okay. Service was also quite friendly, which added to the overall experience. I really enjoyed everything about this place. The vibes, the ambience, the customer service, and especially the drinks were all on point. I love this place and it is five stars all the way for me.

The line was super long (expected with a promo), but honestly it moved faster than I thought it would. Staff kept things friendly and upbeat the whole time, which made the wait feel lighter. At $8.75, it's on the pricier side, but with the BOGO deal it felt worth it. I also grabbed the pandan waffle, and wow -- that hit the spot. Warm, fragrant, and fun to snack on while waiting for drinks.

Which is a great deal. I also got their jasmine green tea which I have heard great things about and I wanted to try it. The service when I was ordering and placing my order was great. But when I was waiting for my order to be made which was just tea and a simple black coffee took about 30 minutes or longer when it shouldn't have. They weren't busy in there. I was waiting patiently for my drinks and when I went up to an employee to ask about my drinks and showed her my receipt she looked clueless. I am not sure what was going on that day but I shouldn't be waiting that long for something so simple when the place was not busy and empty. The employee who took my order in the beginning apologized and made my drinks but if I never said anything I would be waiting for ever. There is plenty of seating inside. There is plenty of parking. I'm hoping the next time I go in there, it will be a better experience since I really liked their jasmine green tea.
