Grilled Turkey Sandwich
Phing T.

Dear diary I was craving some good old American style brunch so we went here. Not too busy on a Tuesday afternoon so plenty of parking and service was fast. The atmosphere was more on the calm side perfect for a catch up brunch. The food portion was perfect. We got the grilled turkey sandwich and shrimp and crab cake Benny which came with french fries and potatoes. The fries were flavored nicely not too salty. The Benny was excellent and has a hint of sweetness which was new to me. The sandwich was great as well, definitely recommend trying them. The Bloody Mary was strong in flavor but I didn't mind it. It was overall a great experience. Cant wait to come back and try more things on the menu!

Came here on a Sunday morning for breakfast and there was no wait. Got seated at the high top table and the waiter was super nice and checked in multiple times. Got the hot chick benedict and the portion was huge and also came with potatoes. I do wish that the dish came with a little less sauce since there was a lot of sauce. However the dish overall was super good and the chicken was crispy.

Well, in San Diego, where I was staying this was nearby and had already a lot of reviews. As a breakfast person I always need to pick an amazing place to start my morning. I had to definitely try the Mexican mocha. It was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy exactly what I was looking for. I also ordered the California breakfast burrito and my husband ordered the harvest omelette for us to split. It was more than enough food and we definitely had leftovers. The restaurant was very cute inside and since it was a beautiful day, we decided to sit outside on their patio. The weight staff was kind and attentive. It was very busy however they did a great job, balancing all their tables and ensuring all of our food came out hot and correct.

Milk and Milk & Cereal Pancakes

Really delicious food and great service! I ordered the cereal and milk pancakes. I did find the fi have a bit too much cream cheese filling but pairing it with bacon was the right choice! Our server was attentive and very kind. Definitely would come back.

Breakfast Republic is a classic! My friend and I were seated fairly quickly for a Friday morning, and the server was so sweet and attentive. The jurassic pork is a must-have!! I upgrade to it everytime and I wish I ordered an extra side. Bacon with brown sugar & paprika - match made in heaven! The only note is that I wish the food was hotter when served.

Parking lot is shared with lots of other businesses and many spaces are 15-30 minute only so be careful. There is a lot alongside the side that is easier to parking in plus street parking a block away. They do not accept reservations, it's walk in only. It gets busy around 8:30am on the weekends. They only have two tables for large groups so be prepared to wait if you have more than 4 people. Service was okay. We weren't able to get water refills. I wouldn't order their unlimited coffee unless you are at the bar as it would be difficult to get a refill. We saw our server when we ordered/received our food and then when I flagged them down for the check. Even though they were busy food came out fairly quick. They have a coloring sheet for kids but no kid menu. Tried: Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes $12.00 - came with 3 pancakes, cream was in the middle of the pancakes. I wish it came with more strawberries. Breakfast Sammie $14.25 - paid an extra $2.50 for Brussels sprout potatoes. The potatoes were the best part. The sandwich was just okay. Cluck Burger $17.50 - paid an extra 75 cents for french fries. Friend felt ill after eating half. Not sure if from the oil of the burger. Everything was just okay, but I most likely won't be back.

Vegan Breakfast Burrito

My friends and I came here for dinner on a Sunday morning. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived, but we walked around the plaza until our table was ready. We were seated outside, but it wasn't too bad. Food: I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito. It was a pretty large burrito, and it came with rice and beans. It was pretty good, and I would definitely order it again. I love that they have a separate vegan section to clearly indicate what is vegan friendly. Service: It was quite busy as this place is super popular. Service was as expected for how busy it was. Our server was friendly and did check up on us regularly. TL;DR - great vegan options, service is indicative of how busy they are

Was really impress's with the portions of the food at Breakfast Republic. My 1st time eating here and I enjoyed their delicious breakfast. I also had to try their mimosas lol. Service was friendly and fast, our waiter was attentive and fast. We decided to eat indoors because it was cold however they do have outdoor sitting. My pancakes were delicious!!

Cheerful and relaxing outdoor seating.

This is my friend's go to spot for brunch and we've been meeting here about every other week for the past few months. Wait staff and chefs are so kind to be accommodating with food allergies and sensitivities! They remove dairy and gluten from my friend's order and mine without disapproving looks or impatience. We arrived in midafternoon this time and had the patio area mostly to ourselves since they close at 3:00. What a calm and relaxing environment! As the sun moved lower, we had the shades brought down for us. Great service, everyone's friendly, and the food and coffee are consistently delicious. The soundtrack is a bit loud inside, but perfect for conversation outside, and includes some humorous interjections..."Mom! Mom!..." reminds me of my son every time! Keep up the good service and positivity!

Had a great breakfast. Sat in the bar area. The restaurant isn't huge but it's still spacious, clean bathroom. Andre and Antonio took care of me. They were down one person and busy taking care of business, but they never looked stressed out, and they made sure everyone got what they needed. I enjoyed an engaging conversation with Andre. Smart guy. He cares about what he does. My avocado toast was good and the coffee is outstanding. I will definitely come back.

This place, for me, always has 5 stars regardless of which location I go to. They are consistent in flavor profile and plating. The service is always kind and friendly. Always clean and with upbeat music. Absolutely one of the top 5 breakfast spots in San Diego. I can't leave this review without giving a shoutout to the people who make it an amazing experience. Andre served me from the bar. Great guy and great coffee maker! My latte was delicious. I wanna give a special shoutout to Isabela. She was the first person I met as the hostess and she definitely made an impression on ne with it being my first time at this location. She stopped what she was doing to find me a seat at the bar..a lot of hosts won't do that. She put the customer first. I also saw her actively helping wherever else she was needed as the restaurant was busy. She was always happy and smiling. The general manager Gilda even stopped to tell me she appreciated my business and kind words. This place doesn't just have good food it also has amazing energy!

Food was delicious as usual! Ordered the breakfast jambalaya and burrito and split both. There was no reservations but wait time for 2 at 10AM on a Sunday was about 30 mins so we had time to walk around the area and grab coffee elsewhere!

Food and service are consistently good. My favorite is the linguisa sausage. And the gluten free toast doesn't feel like a compromise.

It had such a good mouth feels with the clarified milk. Highly recommend if its still on the menu. For food, I got the charred gai lan and the KFQ. The gai lan had a nice smoking taste and very tender. KFQuail was succulent and was fried to perfection. The only downside would be it was pretty expensive what you get. The entrance experience is really creative (I won't spoil it!), and our host was incredibly enthusiastic, setting the tone for the whole night. You do need a reservation, and they charge a per‑person deposit. There's also a time limit, which is a bit of a bummer, but understandable given how popular the place is. The space itself is gorgeous -- dark, cool, and atmospheric with tons to look at. Anime is projected on the wall, and the décor is super detailed and immersive. Each table has a QR code so you can browse their extensive drink menu. They do serve food, but our group of six came just for drinks. The cocktails are unique, beautiful, and definitely on the pricier side, but there's something for everyone. You can only order one drink per person at a time, and there can be a bit of a wait, but honestly the presentation makes it worth it. I tried the Kasato Maru and the Seoul City Hipster -- both vibrant, refreshing, and stunning. A cool, quiet, moody speakeasy with memorable drinks and a fun reveal. A great spot for a special night out.

I came here again last night with friends and began to check in for our reservation with the bartender (the same bartender who had let me in the last time I was here). He spent a long time inspecting my CA REAL ID before going into the back. He returned and said he can't let me in since he doesn't trust my ID. He said store policy is that they have to be able to feel the imprint on your license's signature, which even he admitted that he could, but it was too faded so he wouldn't let me in. I showed him matching credit cards, Costco membership, and CA DMV mobile drivers license, but he still refused and pleaded ignorance. He gave me my driver's license back and said I'm lucky because he normally keeps fakes (thanks for the empty threat). In reality, he knew my license was legitimate and didn't want to have the cops called on him. This place really needs to update their policies and train their staff better on how to identify legitimate IDs. I'm definitely not gong to bother coming here again and will make sure I recommend others not to come here.
