This place is still one of those small, locally owned businesses, and I love it. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I enjoy their signature lattes when I'm in the mood for a sweet treat. On my recent visit, I ordered the Havana Latte. The vanilla powder helps give the drink a slightly creamer texture, and the caramel adds a nice touch. Obviously this drink is on the sweeter side, but I'd also say it's not overpowering, you can still get some of that coffee taste. Their americanos are strong, and their drip coffee is good. When I'm ordering those, I like to keep them black and avoid the creams and sugars, but they do offer simple creamer and sugars at their coffee station if you want to doctor hours up a bit. I haven't been to their other location, but this one does have some small food items and prepackaged pastries if you need a quick bite. My friends have also purchased their retail coffee beans and enjoyed them. I'll have to grab some myself and update when I do. If you're going to get a sweet drink, I'd highly recommend ditching the Starbucks usual and give this place a try instead. They do have a drive-thru as well, but PLENTY of parking is available. read more

This independent mom-and-pop has great coffee and food; I enjoy their espresso drinks and avocado toast. Although the location is inside a strip mall this coffee shop is nice and a great place to meet someone to eat, drink and chat, unlike many Starbucks locations which have been shrinking and shrinking their floor space so much I think that they soon will no longer have any place to sit; another good reason to support locally owned businesses like this one. I used to go here at least once every few months to meet a friend who lived way out in the East County. It was our in-between meeting point. Sadly, they moved out of state like many other long-time San Diego resident friends tired of CA b. s. but at least I still have the memories. read more

It was so good we went back again the next morning! I tried 2 different flavored lattes and they were both yummy, the açaí bowls were great with the perfect toppings. I loved the eclectic feel of the artwork. The staff was efficient and so nice! There was a line in the drive thru when we went into the shop and it was completely gone by the time we got out (which was only like 5-10 minutes). My new favorite coffee shop. I love that they have a drive thru for when I'm in a rush. The staff is super always friendly and helpful. When the drive thru line is a little long I just run in and place my order inside and it's quick and delicious! This isn't Starbucks coffee, it's better. It actually has flavor and you can taste the shots! My favorite is the Chai Tea Latte (I get it dirty). So much flavor! And the acai bowls are a must! I was out running errands this morning and since I've never been to this drive-through coffee spot before I decided to give it a try. I've been to the other Coffee Corner location before. The coffee is ok. Not great. Back to the drive-through. Two cars in front of me. No big deal. I was playing music and waiting patiently but after ten minutes the first car was still at the window. Since no one was behind me I started to pull out and then the car at the window was served. It wasn't a huge order. It looks like they ordered two drinks. Stayed in line. The car in front of me pulls up to the window and orders. Ten minutes pass. Still waiting. No one is behind me so this time I pulled out and left. Twenty minutes wasted. How slow can the service be? This is a great little coffee shop that also sports a drive thru for those of you who are on the run. I stopped in to get some work done and enjoy a Cafe au Lait. They do not technically make the Cafe au Lait, they steam some hot milk, put it in a cup, which they proceed to give you, then are expected to fill the cup with your choice of coffee from the self serve dispensers along the wall. I filled my hot milk cup with they Kona blend which was well roasted and brewed. Even after pouring the coffee, the hot milk sustained its foamy appearance. The coffee and milk mixture tasted great and was quite smooth, thanks to the great Kona roast. They coffees, espressos, teas, smoothies, iced teas, and hot chocolate. If you're hungry, they can make you a acai bowl, toast you a bagel, cookies, or grab some fruit. They young ladies working the counter were quite amiable and in good moods. read more

This is my new favorite coffee shop!! So many unique flavors and everything is so yummy. But the black forest is my favorite. The staff all seem to have a good relationship with one another and they really go above and beyond for their customers. They have a lot of 3D figurines that they give out for free. Rude. I have been driving through this coffee place for many years, the coffee is okay even if slow. My daughter was excited to apply for a job there upon seeing a help wanted sign on the door. She could not find a place on the website to apply so walked in and asked if there was a way she could apply there. The "gentleman" at the counter told her "Apply online!". She asked if he could help tell her exactly where on the website, she could do that and he yelled "just email me then!" They were not busy either. She came home in tears and said there would be no way she would ever work with a guy that rude. I will now take my drive thru business to a different location. Went out on a limb to try a new coffee spot and stopped in here at the coffee corner . We ordered 4 ice drinks with a muffin so a decent bill with a tip not a problem if we make this our new spot. Well that's not gonna to happen !! My wife had a drink of her matcha tea and was way to sweet . Sugar beads were covering the bottom of the cup, so we asked if we could possibly have a redo or a new drink beings that we were dissatisfied with the one that was made for us we were told that we would have to pay for another drink, and they wouldn't do exchanges of any sort . I just felt that they really dropped the ball on customer service. I gave 3 stars because other drinks weren't bad but not great . I guess I don't have to wonder anymore.
