I have been living in the South Bay for most of my life and this place has the best ambience. We went on a night with live music which I would highly recommend. We really wanted to like the place for two reasons we love mediterran food and it's walking distance from our home. Sadly we will most likely not go again. The food was too salty and the service was avg. Charging extra for bread when you asked if we wanted more is not a good way to get repeat customer. If you're going to charge more for the bread that came with the dish, then let us know. read more

Heavenly food on earth. A dinner you end up thinking about the next morning. Incredible service and the most delicious meal I've had in a very long time. The waiters are so attentive without being in your face. It was my birthday dinner and I felt so taken care of! We had the Tunisian bruschetta, pappardelle, and lamb meatballs. We were really excited to see Barsha opening a location close to our house, since there aren't a lot of great dining options within walking distance. Barsha's Manhattan Beach location is great for a wine bar, so the promise of something similar with a full kitchen around the corner from us was met with great expectations. More work is needed for that promise to be realized, though. This new location has good potential, but they still need to work on the details. Pro's: we made a reservation on resy for 6pm on a Saturday and had no issue at all getting promptly seated. The space overall is pretty decent, although a little sparsely decorated. The price was extremely reasonable for South Bay restaurants, and the lamb meatballs and the arugula salad were both excellent. We didn't bring our daughter, but the space is kid friendly and they do have a kid menu, which is a great to see in a local foodie spot. Con's. We ordered the wine on tap and it was bad. No other way to say it. This was HUGELY disappointing as Barsha's brand is all about the wine. We ordered 250ml of the Cab Franc to split and it was really bad. Super tannic, almost worthy of a send back. After that, we asked for a taste of the Tempranillo and the Red Blend. The tastes were so tiny that you could barely tell what it was, especially as one taste was brought out for two of us. Granted they're free but considering it's wine on tap and we're going to order $30+ of it if we like it, this is disappointingly poor service. The red blend was not very good. The Tempranillo was decent. We saw people at other tables getting wine bottles, and saw wine coolers, but we were never shown a bottle list and no bottles were shown on the menu. We also were disappointed in the zatar fries. They were thick cut and soggy, without enough zatar to really taste. The dipping sauces served with them were really good though. Final disappointment was the view of the toilet through the open bathroom door we had from our table. They need a curtain or a wall of some sort installed to block that. Not what I want to see while I'm eating. Overall, this restaurant has good potential, and the people who run Barsha know what they're doing and should be able to make this better. We'll keep an eye open and aim sure we'll be back in a couple months after they have a little more time to work the kinks out. read more

A breath of fresh air to this little shopping center! We frequent this area approx 2-3 times a week for black belt practice and watched this place pop up. Unfortunately when we wanted to try it, they were closed which was on a Monday. And finally I convinced my husband to go after our daughter's class. It was on a Thursday at around 7:30pm. We were first asked right away if we had reservations, he was a little abrupt. We did not as this was a whim... but it didn't look too crowded so that was a little harsh at first. We sat down and we were greeted by a wonderful waitress who took the time to answer all of our questions as we told her it was our first time. This waitress made up for the hostess guy (who IMO needs to work on his people skills). I told the waitress my preferences and she suggested a delicious pasta dish that hit the spot. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back, abrupt hostess and all. Pappardelle- OMG. Rich, creamy and full of flavor. Roasted cauliflower - delicious and kid approved Scallops - The dish is on the smaller portion side (recommend another small plate if you are a big eater like my husband) Grilled cheese with vegetables on the side - our 10 year old ate it all! Kudos to our wonderful waitress (we forgot her name) and all of the restaurant staff that kept our water glasses full as we were thirsty and my daughter was parched from her black belt class. I had their mussels which is cooked in the most wonderful broth. The meatloaf was some of the best I've ever had. It came with truffle macaroni and cheese, and it was quite good. I love their salad dressing too. I highly recommend Barsha. read more

Our favorite local restaurant (Redondo Beach) by far! Even their take-out dinners are fabulous! Wonderful spices, exotic dishes, things we can't make ourselves at home make this the perfect place to go or get food to go when we want to gourmet meal! And ADNIN, who owns and runs the restaurant, is a true Star. A super guy who loves his restaurant and its customers. Can't wait to eat there again, or at least order more takeout! Best new but tried (been to their MB location handful of times), top notch service in a welcoming yet cool atmosphere that is even kid friendly. The menu has bad *ss Tunisian flare and yet it is not intimidating at all. They've got live music but wasn't on when we popped in for a pre dinner drink. Plenty of parking. Amazing! We treated ourselves to this little neighborhood gem and it definitely hit all the marks! We decided to share with our besties, which allowed us to sample many of Barsha's dishes. The presentation started with a wonderful red wine, recommended by the owner/sommelier. The wine list is extensive! At the end of the night, we couldn't pick our favorite food, and were so satisfied we couldn't find room for dessert. Next time! The owner was very engaging and had a great sense of humor. Word of mouth said this place was a must-try, and I can see why! Owner Adnan has opened an upscale Tunisian eatery with all the fixings, including great ambiance, live music, authentic, gourmet food, and an excellent wine selection. The food was some of the best Mediterranean cuisine I've had in the South Bay, the service was top-notch, and the cocktail I had (Night in Tunisia) was also excellent. Barsha stands head and shoulders above the prior restaurants I've seen in that strip mall, and quite frankly, most of the fancy restaurants near the beach cities' piers. I fell in love with Barsha tasting room many years ago and was beyond excited that Adnen and Lenora have now opened a second location with a full food menu and of course their amazing wine list. I hosted a dinner for my work team this evening and felt compelled to leave a review. From the moment we walked in we were graciously met by the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff who simply wanted to make our evening amazing. The food is delicious. We tried the scallops, pappardelle, prawns, roasted cauliflower, hand of Fatima and the Moussaka. The only thing we left behind was completely empty plates. Barsha is great for a date night, dinner with a group of friends or a large group event. LOVE BARSHA 2.0!!! read more

Went to Barsha's new restaurant on Aviation and Prospect. Wow! The food and service were excellent. Eating the braised Lamb checks with Polenta transported me to a trip I took to San Sebastian Spain where we ate beef cheeks. Amazing. And the Branzino with the crispy skin and rissoto was cooked to perfection. I spoke with the owner Adnon and he gave much credit to his mother who travels from Tunisia to help with the recipes. While under the current "stay-at-home" order, I have been cooking myself to death. I was told to try Barsha's nightly carry-out menu for Sunday Night's Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes with Corn Bread. You can call or email your request and pickup time. Prepared meals are for 2 people, but serves a little more than 2 for $34. You can add a carry-out 500 ml of wine for $10 too. Upon pick-up, it wasn't your typical looking southern fried chicken (I am from Kentucky), but when I took a taste it was wayy better! The breading is soooo flavorful.. I could eat that straight. It is served with this savory sauce that you could take a bath in. Their herbed mashed potatoes are better than any mashed potatoes I have ever eaten or made. Corn bread there aren't words. I am excited to try their other night's dinners: Chicken Coq Au Vin w/ herbed Noodles, Lasagne Bolognese w/ Spinach Ricotta, Tunisian Meatloaf with Truffle MAC-n-cheese, Chicken Pot Pie, Salmon En Croute and Asparagus. They also have vegetarian options: Eggplant Parmesan with Linguini and Veggie Cous Cous Stir Fry. Additional items include Cheese and Charcuterie Boxes and kids menu. read more

We had an amazing time celebrating our son's birthday at Barsha last night. From the very welcoming, friendly and attentive staff, to the lovely atmosphere and the extraordinary food - we couldn't have picked a better place to have our celebration. Everything that came out of the kitchen was prepared exceptionally well and the unique marriage of different spices and condiments provided delightful pops of flavor with every bite. We were a table of six and enjoyed a couple of the Hand of Fatima appetizers - a great introduction to the depth of flavors in everything that follows. The Tunisian Bruschetta with tuna conserva - so so good, a couple bowls of the most exquisite mussels - the sauce was outstanding and you had some nice crispy bread to soak it up. Then for the main course, 4 of us had the perfectly seasoned and cooked diver scallop special, the lamb cheeks, which my son said he couldn't believe how they could possibly infuse so much flavor into one dish - he was very happy. And lastly a fabulous chicken dish. We are so thrilled Barsha is here in the neighborhood. We really needed a place like this.
