Was previously 5, changing to 3 based on last 3 visits. Over 10 years coming to barros, 100s of visits, new spot and old one at hardy. They pizza is phenomenal, mtballs, Bread all great! Lately its been not so great. My last 3 visits have been not the best, 1 was health code red violation. Armando/Mondo the GM is a great guy, Megean and Leai very nice and good too. But they are not there 24/7. 1- (GM is aware of this) Came to pick up my pizza, while waiting in line a gentlemen brought back his order as it was not correct. I noticed it was mine when he opened and explained the issue to the person working. He went in back and got the right pizza. When he returned I mentioned that's mine, pointing to the returned one on counter. He tried to hand it to me. I looked at it and him and asked are you really handing me this pizza which was handed out and left your store, came back. . ? Yea, you did not do anything to it did you, asking the gentlemen that just returned it. Putting him, me all on the spot. Just left after letting him know that is unacceptable . Once food leaves your kitchen it can not be brought back, must be discarded and new made. 2- (GM is aware of this) Came in to order slices, was helped by a young blonde lady (new according to GM) Asked for 2 slices of sausage with 1 ranch, napkins and a cheese packet in bag please. Rang up the meal, No ma'am, just slices please, Says price of 2 slices, And a Ranch please, Says total, I pay, Hands me 2 slices and a ranch, May I have cheese and napkins please, Hands, no bag, May I have a bag please, Throws bag on counter. Just want the great pizza, no need for all that extra. 3- Head in after few weeks to try again. Gentlemen in front talking with man behind counter. Staff member says ok ill be right back. Heads in back. I check the pizza in warmer. Sausage is there. I hang out waiting. He comes back after a few minutes, he had made the salad. Hands to gentlemen and he leaves. I order my 2 Sausage slices and ranch. He rings up and asks which I would like, says Sausage please. Oh that's only one I don't have. I can throw one in. Its 225pm, they have slices till 330. Well suppose to. I say no, waited as it says Sausage right there. He goes oh hold on, moved the pizza over to right spot. Just left . Oh its frustrating to come in for great pizza and get one that's served to someone else, your sides thrown at you, or just not able to get what's shown in warner. All I have to say is if you get the privilege of having to order your pizza for delivery with Armando who is the manager at this location you might as well just hang up and call the next barro's closest to you. The problem that I dealt with today was incredible. My card has been verified several times at my bank and I've never had any issues with my card anywhere else ,so I try ordering a pizza tonight and I tell him after he tells me that the card does not go through because of an error that comes up as ABA meaning the ZIP Code is incorrect again. I have verified this several times before with my bank so I'm trying to tell him run it without the ZIP Code and it'll be fine. This man absolutely refuses to do so? keep in mind I order from this place same place every single Friday Saturday I order a pizza from this place so long story short? don't order a pizza from Armando. If it's anyone else more than likely they will help you out run it with a ZIP Code and you'll get your pizza just fine other than that their pizza is fantastic read more

We ordered take out this week from barros! I personally like the wings they are really good!! And we always get an xl pizza, and it's a pretty good! I'm not really a pizza person but barros is always a good piece of pizza to have. The service has gotten way better from times before. read more

We love barrio pizza and always go to a different location but since we were in the area we stopped by here. 6 wings and a salad. Took close to 40 mins as like they forgot. The pizza was just as I always have it. The pizza had a nice amount of cheese on it and the sausage was dispersed over the top. There wasn't too much sausage and there wasn't too little sausage. The sausage was spread pretty evenly. The pizza wasn't too salty and it definitely didn't taste sweet, which was good. My family likes pizza crust that is soft and puffy. I usually like pizza crust that is crispy on the bottom, but soft on the inside. They also like a lot of sauce. I prefer mine to not have that much tomato sauce. The sauce also tastes more marinated. I think it has a lot of herbs and spices in it. I prefer my sauce to be a bit more plain. For the most part, I usually prefer pestos. Sometimes the tomato sauce for the pizza can be really good if it is more basic. It seems like everybody in the valley likes the barro pizza and has grown up eating it especially in the East Valley. The pizza shop seems to be pretty well known among people who have lived in Arizona for a while, especially in the areas where, there are some barros located. Pizza is consistently amazing. Most pizza joints use cheese as a binder to hold the other ingredients in place. Their cheese lacks taste. What is great is you can really taste the cheese. The cheese has flavor! The dough is soft and airy with a nice bake on it. Their ranch sauce is also divine, perfect dipping companion for the perfect pizza. The staff has always been attentive and helpful when I come in to pick up my online order. Whenever I come in the dark colors of the restaurant make me feel comfortable and cool, especially during our hot Summers! It is relaxing and nice to see local sports up on the wall. We've been ordering pizza from this location since it opened and it continues to make fantastic pies! Their pies are a little thicker than NY Style and the dough is consistently delicious. We typically order the $40 X-Large 1 topping with 24 bone in wings special. Their bone in wings are juicy and meaty. I recommend the barbecue wings with a side of Ranch and their Ranch Dressing is among the best around! If you're a sausage fan, Barro's tops their pizzas with the best sausage. It has a little spice and is extremely flavorful. If you plan on eating at Barros, they have plenty of TVs to watch a game and they serve beer and wine! They have some kiddy furniture for the youngsters to pass the time and oversized booths and tables for large parties. The food is always on point if it's correct. The bad training of staff and lack of management care seems to lead to CONSTANT mistakes in orders. Orders never ready on time. I showed up late today and it still wasn't ready and the lady at the counter didn't even know she handed me the incorrect amount of items. Staff doesn't even know what they are handing you when you go in for pick up. It all seems like it changed about 1-2 years ago. I'd ask the manager to reach out, but with the amount of problems they have, I'm not sure if they care. I have so many memories of going to Barro's Pizza growing up. We have eaten here many times after little league games. It is such a fun family environment. The first of many locations in Arizona opened in 1980. This location is located on Baseline Rd in Tempe. Barro's makes pizzas using recipes handed down from Grandma Barro. We love coming here and getting a pizza and some wings. They make a nice thick and flakey crust. Barro's is also known for their work in the community. I always enjoy seeing photos on the wall of local sports teams. Service was a little slow for us, but the hot food made up for it. read more

DO NOT order using their app or website!!! It will send your order to the wrong store and they will do NOTHING to help you! They will not even acknowledge their responsibility for their app making a mistake. My story ... I used their app to place my usual order from the usual location (Warner & 87). The app has a "convenient" option to Repeat Last Order which automatically selects the last location you ordered from and last items you ordered. So I used that option, paid, and 30 minutes later drive 1 mile to my usual Barros. Only to find out when I get there that the app sent the order to ANOTHER Barros. So I had to drive over 6 miles, and spend 45 total minutes, driving out of my way to pick up the pizza at the other store. When I got there I asked why the app would send the order to the completely wrong store the employee said a lot of people have problems with the app and website and recommended I called to place orders in the future. Obviously not satisfied with this response I asked to speak to a manager. After explaining what happened the manager basically told me that this situation was my fault and that I should have checked which store the app was placing the order at before checking out. He even told me "what do you want me to do l ... We did nothing wrong". There are at least 4 great pizza places within 2 miles of my house. So needless to say Barros will no longer be getting my business. read more

I'm sad to write this review. My in laws went in to order a pizza for my family. They informed person taking order that my son was allergic to eggs. They were told everything was safe. So they ordered a meat pizza with meatballs. Luckily I was home when pizza was being served. I had previously checked barros allergy menu and seen meatballs contain egg. So I was able to keep my son from eating it. Of course he was devastated and we had to go to grocery store to get him his own pizza. Had I not been around my son could have ended up in er. When I called the manager of course apologized "for the inconvenience." As an allergy family we are accustomed to double checking foods, but to be told a food is safe when it indeed was not is terribly irresponsible. Luckily we aren't in the ER and my kid is safe. I've been a big fan of Barros for years! I haven't ordered from there for awhile due to financial reasons. Tonight I decided to treat my roommate and myself to it. Ordered online and asked they text when they arrive as I have a security door with no bell.... Simple request. Or knock on the security door. Well the 75 minute window they quoted had passed. I opened my front door and on my porch was the order. So I pick it up and take it inside. Well, the food is clearly cold. I opened the pizza box and a cricket ran up the lid of the box. There was another one dead on the pizza. Don't care how they got there but I'm not happy they were. How hard is it to knock on the door?? Got a refund, I'm still starving and have no appetite. Got there and they wouldn't give my 2 year old a water cup with a lid unless I paid $3. Family establishment that wants a 2 year to likely spill his drink on himself. So I called Barros and first talked to a very nice girl on the phone (wish I remembered her name) then she said let me get my manager he will be able to find that receipt a lot quicker. I was on hold for a few seconds and I spoke to the manager (wish I remembered his name too). He immediately found the receipt and I had it in my email within minutes!
