we've been coming to vail for YEARS. a couplecredtsursnts have been in this spot. once barrio came in we were praying it would make it. IT HAS! and for all the expected reasons of a restaurant. food is probably my favorite here in vail. i know everyone says that but this is a gem. none like it. great food and great cocktails. congratulations!

The location of this restaurant is gorgeous. It's in Vail, Colorado. I'm from NY. I thought the food was well prepared. However, not sure if it was the shrimp we ordered, but both me and the person I was dining with were a bit sick afterwards. I wonder if the shrimp might have been stored for too long ? Other than that, everything tasted delicious. Service was excellent. My waiter was attentive. The price was very high, but again, it's because of the location. If you want cheap food, I would not come here.

Pricey. We just got appys and drinks and dropped a fair amount of money. The bartender, Silvio, who served us was awesome and introduced us to a crazy Croatian concoction of red wine with coke. Definitely an off menu item that made for a really fun and unique experience. And don't knock it until you try it. The squid ink with the calamari was too over the top for me and actually detracted from the dish. The fried goat cheese croquetta was really good along with the brussels sprouts.

People who visit Vail often already knew this, but on our first visit we discovered there's a bit of a situation with the restaurants and especially on Sundays. Though there are a number of upscale dining options, they follow hours that are intuitive to the area but not necessarily to first time visitors. After a long day of traveling, we were eager to get in there, see Vail Village, and grab a bit to eat. Barrio Social was one of the few places actual open and serving more than ski aprés. We were delighted with our entire meal. The potatoes, shrimp, and scallops were well prepared, seasoned, and plated. The dining area is beautifully decorated, and even though there were not many people in it was very enjoyable. The cocktail menu was strong, too. We had great service and were happy to have come across this restaurant.

My husband and I hadn't been to this spot before and we loved it! The items from La Bottega on their menu, combined with their unique menu, make for a wonderful variety of things to choose from. Hell, we liked it so much -- the food, the service, the ambiance -- that we came back multiple times in our two week stay! Situated right on Meadow, you can sit on the patio and people watch, stare at the beautiful mountains, or enjoy their luxe and lovely interior. We sat outside each time because, well, why not! My favorite dishes were the tartare and the chorizo croquets -- god, I wish I could ship myself some of those croquets! The gnocchi was delightful as well, which I got on a whim, and my husband couldn't get enough of the La Bottega steak and cheese. When we get back to the mountains, we will definitely be back!

Migas, Shakshuka, and the Breakfast Empanada. All first class. Loved them all.

Absolutely Outstanding! I've eaten a lot of great food but this is honestly one of the best meals I've had in a long time. If you like authentic recipes and simple food done right. This is your spot. They are new but the flavors are developed and authentic. The Shakshuka was to die for. Ask for some fresh grilled bread on the side to scoop... a freakin mazing. It's great to share. The cheese plate selection are on point. The empanada was so dialed in. Not to spicy. Hints of natural sweetness and a little punch from the spices in the Charizo with a savory umami. The dough was crispy and flaky and smooth. Highly recommend. Can't speak to the whole menu as this was my first time, but I'll make it a point to come back. If you're in Vail it's worth stopping by.

Food was great. Seated ten of us and got the food out efficiently. The mushroom dish was solid and I liked the lamb.

Great tapas spot! The giant prawns were amazing. Everything else was also super tasty. I only wish they had more Spanish wines by the glass.

All of the dishes were decent, but the prime rib--which I expected to be the highlight of the meal--turned out to be EXTREMELY tough. I struggled to slice it even with a steak knife, and it was also quite flavorless. I ended up leaving most of it unfinished, as shown in the photo. I had hoped the server would ask if anything was wrong with the dish after seeing so much of it left on the plate, but he didn't. Considering the quality, the prices were on the higher end. I'd recommend going somewhere else if you don't want to experience the worst prime rib dinner.

She was generally rude and disrespectful. She couldn't have cared less that we were there, and given it was a holiday dinner, you might expect event a faint hint of spirit. One might think she was having a bad night and let it go, but the entire staff had the same attitude. Not one made eye contact and if you said merry Christmas, the just looked at the floor or past and ignored you. The food was phoned it by the B team. While the prime rib was itself its normal goodness, the remainder of the meal and timing was disappointing. As an example; the blue cheese dressing for the salad was runny and the shallot vinaigrette was made out of vegetable oil. If for some reason it wasn't, it sure tasted like it. It was inedible. The list of disappointments goes on but after coming here for years, it was an unpleasant enough experience to never go back. I suspect this is a reflection of management which further demonstrates its worth skipping Lancelot on a Vail visit.

You head to the back counter where you place your food order, and then you can head over to a table to sit and wait for the food to be ready. Once you get your food, you can head over to the salsa bar and add all the additional toppings your heart desires. They have all kinds of sauces from spicy to mild and even have jalapenos and sliced radishes. I got an asada taco and a barbacoa taco and they were both delicious. But my favorite was the barbacoa. It had so much flavor and it was so juicy. I also got an horchata and it was perfect. One of the best I've had! The grocery side itself offers a huge variety of goodies you can find in Mexico including candy which is always what I look for!
