This meal was supper tasty and flavorful! The staff was absolutely amazing, and the vibes were superb! Cozy restaurant that doesn't feel cramped! Highly recommend!

    La Bottega

Great Atmosphere, Great Service , Good Food but a little too strong on the garlic... Whoa! We love La Bottega and it's one of our favorite restaurants in Vail. They have been open for many years and that speaks to the quality of the food, service and management. It's Vail, so it's not cheap but overall the food is delicious. We ordered the arrabiata pasta with chicken, the gnocchi and pasta primavera with salmon. We also ordered the bruschetta. Our waitress was amazing, and the service was impeccable. Overall the food and wine were delicious. However the dishes and even the bruschetta were plagued with an over abundance of garlic. The garlic was in fact so strong that it's still noticeable the next morning. NOT COOL...and quite gross. I appreciate when Garlic is used delicately to gently add flavor to a dish.... But Not to have so much added that it burns your lips and smells strongly the next morning...that's a sloppy move on the chef's part.... Fix the garlic issue and it's a perfect 5 star Restaraunt, everything else is amazing, but for now, until the garlic situation is under control, it's just too much to handle.......

Loved our girls night out at La Bottega. I will say it was super crowded though especially at the entry way which was difficult when we were waiting to be seated. For a starter I ordered the special four cheese soup then for my entree I ordered the linguine with clams and loved it! I would definitely come back here.

La Bottega is a charming restaurant in Vail Village. The service is decent and they do make a mighty fine cocktail, but that is where it ends. Maybe I am a snob, but I do believe La Bottega is a victim of not keeping up with the times. The food is dated and bland. We tried a few appetizers, but stoped when the bruschetta came out. The bread was barely toasted and the tomatoes were the flavorless variety you'd buy at a supermarket (this is prime tomatoes season). After visiting other restaurants in Vail during our trip, this one failed to deliver with food. Local and good ingredients are available. I know La Bottega can do much better.

I am very surprised to see the average rating for this restaurant is 3 stars, however, am also assuming the standards in Vail may be a bit higher than the average place. We went on a Saturday around 7pm, and were able to get in (2 people) without a reservation within 10 minutes. We started with the bresaola bruschetta, which was tasty, but we felt it could have used more dressing, sauce, or aioli on the arugula. We also wished it had been pre-cut. We then ordered the gemelli with spicy sausage, and Scottish salmon. The pasta was delicious and the salmon was also really good! They also had great bread :)

They have the cutest spritz window experience on the 3rd floor of the Four Seasons. It was such a fun, different way to kick off the night! Price: Around $18 per drink. With a tip, you're looking at about $20-$25. My opinion going out to get a drink is expensive but it's Vail! If you go to Vail you know things will cost more. I personally think it was worth it and would come back. Customer Service: The service was great! You just ring the bell at the window and someone comes to help you pretty quickly. They were very kind and efficient. Atmosphere: It's very relaxing. We sat outside in their outdoor patio area which had a fire pit and seating. It was the perfect spot to just sit, talk, and get to catch up with each other. Drinks: I got the Barca Spritz, which is a blood orange flavor. It was refreshing and cute. My friend got the Limoncello Spritz, which she really enjoyed. Overall Experience: This was such a fun hidden gem moment for our girls night. I would definitely go back just for the drinks and the outdoor patio fire! Pro Tip: A huge bonus for this location is the parking! You can park for free after 3 PM at a nearby lot the S. Frontage Rd. East garage right nearby. I'll definitely be back!

The food was decent, especially the lamb ragu, but the beef carpaccio and lobster pasta fell flat. The dishes did not have the same complexity as they did in Denver. Cocktails: I've always loved their cocktails, so even if you don't have dinner here, you should at least check out the bar. I've never been disappointed in any drink I've gotten. Dinner: - Butternut baba ganoush: all the flavors of baba ganoush but with butternut squash, and the warm pita was great - Fire roasted tomato and chorizo soup: a bit on the thinner side, smoky, interesting - Buttermilk sea salt biscuit: rich, flaky, with extra butter, country ham, and red pepper jelly - Warm pimento cheese: I don't usually care for pimento, but their's is great with grilled bread. They also use this on their burger at lunch - Wood grilled octopus: nice wood fire flavor, great ham hock beans underneath, grilled avocado - Crispy brussels sprouts: interesting flavor with the grilled avocado sikil pak - Wood fired pork chop: tender, generously sized - Grilled cobia: wonderful warming pineapple coconut curry, charred pineapple, and fresnos for a kick - Seafood diavolo: very flavorful (my dad found it too salty), served over polenta Lunch items: - Fresh catch: Argentenian shrimp and polenta - like shrimp and grits, very flavorful - Grilled cheese and soup: always a good combo - Burger: we added the onion rings, which had a good kick to them They also had a really solid kids' menu, which I appreciate. Despite how busy they are, service is attentive, and the manager came by personally to check in, which was a nice touch. Food and drink pacing was also good despite it being packed. They have their system down! There's a reason why we keep coming back trip after trip!

Other employees helped with service, including clearing plates and inquiring if we needed anything. The restaurant is definitely number one at customer service and I loved how everyone worked together. Even though the restaurant was busy, we did not feel lost in the shuffle. It was clean and inviting. They offered an array of choices, so there would be something for everyone if you decide to dine here. The food was good, preparation and display were done carefully, but the taste was overall just ok. The appetizers we chose were Warm Pimento Cheese, which was mildly flavorful, but good, and Prime Beef Carne Apache, which had no flavor at all. The main courses we chose included a pork dish and a chicken dish. The chicken had great flavor, but was placed on a bed of potato wedges which were not all completely cooked through. We felt this took away from the overall dish. The accompanied sauce made with yogurt and poppyseed did not add any flavor to the dish. The pork dish had great flavor. The drinks accompanying the food were made well and tasty. The kids menu has an array of choices as well, and our choice of macaroni and cheese was a hit! We ended with a frozen snicker bar dessert that tasted exactly like a frozen snickers bar. Overall, we had a very nice evening and would definitely visit again.
