Great spot on our way to skiing. Our server was very energetic and fun. We had a large table of 12 people and everyone enjoyed our time spent there for lunch. The ambiance was my favorite thing about the stop. I would definitely come back to enjoy the setting. The food was good, not great but I'd totally go back.

One of our favorite places for a nice date night or celebration. The restaurant has a beautiful bar and eclectic decor. They have outdoor yurts you can reserve for private parties as well. The cocktails, wine list, and food are all phenomenal. We like the option to have family style entrees to share. The service is always great. Be sure to make a reservation.

Hubby was greeted with friendly faces, when he walked in Sauce on the Blue. He was able to make a take-out order. The staff was very helpful with him. He was told it would take 25 mins. for our food. He ordered for 1 serving the Bolognese. The rest on my photo. I thought all the food were delicious, and perfect servings for the two of us, no leftovers, including the bread and all the butter. Gladly, it's just across the street from our hotel!

After spending the entire day trying not to catch an edge and testing the limits of my insurance policy on the mountain, a friend and I rolled into Sauce on the Blue this past Friday. If you've ever been snowboarding, you know that post-mountain hunger is a different type of beast - I was ready to eat the menu and the table it was printed on. The place is actually a decent size with plenty of seating both inside and out by the river, so we didn't feel cramped even with the post-slope crowd. Our server was on point too--handled the Friday night rush without missing a beat, which I definitely appreciated. We started things off with the Fried Ravioli and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts. The ravioli was a solid, reliable appetizer, but those Brussels sprouts were easily the highlight of the entire night. They were seasoned perfectly and had that actual crunch you're looking for but rarely get. If you're stopping through, do yourself a favor and just order those immediately. For my main, I went with the Chef's Daily Special, which was a braised beef short rib served over mashed potatoes with asparagus. To be honest, it was a good, honest meal, but nothing that's going to live rent-free in my head for the rest of the year. The beef was tender and it definitely hit the spot after being out in the cold for eight hours, but it lacked that extra level of depth to make it truly memorable. It's a respectable mountain dinner--nothing to write home to my friends about, but a solid 7.5 out of 10. Overall, it's a dependable spot with a chill atmosphere. You get a good meal, professional service, and a nice view of the river without any of the extra pretentiousness. It's a safe bet for anyone looking to refuel after a day on the boards.

Sauce on the blue is absolutely amazing! Tim and his staff are incredible people, who are very accommodating. Must tries, the Mussels, garlic bread and bruschetta! He has a whiskey bar that I dream about.

I've been celebrating my birthday at Sauce on the Blue for the past three years, and this was the first year I left truly disappointed--so much so that I won't be returning. We ordered mussels as an appetizer. While the sauce was excellent, the mussels themselves were so extremely hot and overcooked that they burned my tongue and were difficult to swallow. I mentioned this to our server but said we would try to eat them. I then ordered the chicken marsala. It arrived quickly, smelled amazing, and looked beautiful--but unfortunately had the same issue. The chicken was not only scalding hot, it was so overcooked that I couldn't even finish chewing it. I had to push the plate aside. At this point, our server had not checked on us at all since taking our order--roughly 40 minutes earlier. A manager eventually stopped by and asked how everything was. I explained that it was my birthday, that we come every year, and described the issues with both dishes. She was kind, apologetic, and offered to replace the meal, which I declined. We continued sitting there while I had no food, and still our server did not return. I asked the host to get a manager again. The same manager came back, apologized further, offered dessert, and removed all food and drinks from our bill. She also offered a gift certificate to try again, which I declined, explaining that this experience was not what I expect from this restaurant. The food here is not inexpensive, and it should never burn a customer's mouth. Yes, I waited and blew on the food. Having two separate dishes with the same issue is troubling and, frankly, telling. The presentation was good, and the flavors--what little I could taste with a burned tongue--were acceptable. But quality food and attentive service are what I expect from Sauce on the Blue, and on this visit, both fell far short. Maybe this was a one-off or a bad night, but regardless, we won't be returning or spending our money here again.

My husband and I recently had a lovely dinner at this Italian eatery. The space is warm and inviting, highlighting an impressive bar that displays more than a story high of bottles filled with liquors. The atmosphere is pleasant, with a nice balance of rustic and industrial charm. If you want a little privacy, the restaurant offer outdoor yurts. The place was very busy on a Sunday night, and we were glad we had made a reservation earlier that day. Our waitress wasn't particularly friendly, maybe a little overworked, but the food made up for it. Everything we tasted was delicious, and you don't want to miss the Tiramisu for dessert! This spot is one of our new favorites when in town!

After hitting the slopes this restaurant hits the spot. We shared plates but here is what I ordered. Penne pasta ala vodka with chicken. Spinach and tomatos with a delicious sauce was excellent. 10/10 Ended with a good dessert, cookies and cream gelato. 10/10. We shared the linguini and clams, buffalo (meat) ravioli with brussel sprouts and a carnivoro pizza all were sensational. Our server Marijah took great care of us giving us excellent recommendations she personally has had.

I'm not sure what was better, the view, the food, or the company. Wait, who am I kidding? Of course the company was best, but the food and the view... incredible! This experience was amazing, from start to finish. We opted to sit outside by the trickling creek/river? What do I know, I live in LA! Either way, it was simply beautiful as we watched the clouds roll in. It felt like perfect weather to order some hearty pastas, which did not disappoint. While I did not try the pastas at the table, I can vouch that the Spicy Shrimp Fra Diavlo is one of the best I have had. My mom made a superb lobster version and I can honestly say that this came close, no disrespect to the woman who was a culinary genius. Emily was our server and she was beyond friendly and efficient. Did efficiency matter? Yes it did, as the rolling clouds quickly turned into a downpour of rain. Wine sipped, pasta devoured, and on to our next adventure. The atmosphere here is just perfect, the food is great, and the memories ever lasting. Parking is ample and free (unheard of where I come from). Take a walk along the path that follow the running water. It's beautiful. Go here. Eat here. Drink here. Enjoy your time with friends cuz life is short!

Great restaurant, very welcoming and it feels very local. Awesome whiskey selection, and really enjoyed the food too. Loved the service, sat at the bar and the bartenders are super attentive. Ordered the cheesy bread and the rib eye. Wanna come back for all the pizza and pasta dishes. It's a staple in town so a great place for drinks after a day on the slopes

Everything we ordered was very good. Small seafood portions on the pasta with scallops but cooked perfectly. Really enjoyed the arugula spinach salad. Service was good. Ambience was fun, friendly, and comfortable.

Food: I thought it was going to be just so-so, Olive Garden level italian food. I was wrong! I first asked our waiter, Brian, for recommendations and he said they were known for their Mama G's classic red sauce. We ordered the bruschetta and I got the linguini and meatballs, which has the famous red sauce. My gf got the lasagna and the greek salad. The bruschetta was delicious. I really hate it when restaurants throw diced tomato and basil on toast and call it bruschetta, Greco's did not. The crostinis were perfectly toasted - crispy but didn't crumble everywhere and didn't cut up the inside of your mouth. The balsamic reduction over the bruschetta was delicious, but I think the tomatoes, red onion, basil and garlic were mixed with some balsamic vinegar or something similar before being added to the crostinis and glazed. Vinegar should always be used to brighten veggies, not overpower them, and Greco's nailed the vinegar-tomatoes proportion. It was fresh, crisp, flavorful, and had the perfect amount of salt to enhance the tomato flavor. My girl's greek salad was huge. I didn't taste it, but I trust her opinion, and she said it was delicious. She didn't finish it but did take it back to the airbnb and is already snacking on it again :) The lasagna was delicious as well. The noodles were thin, so it didn't feel like we were biting into a chunk of pasta toast with sauce and ricotta as the butter, which happens often with lasagnas. This lasagna had the best ricotta cheese I have ever had. I asked the waiter if they used a bechamel sauce in the lasagna because of how creamy it was, but it was just the ricotta! They do not make it in house, I asked, and I wish I knew where it was from. Gf still won't stop talking about the lasagna and called her brother to tell him about it, lol. The star of the show: The red sauce. Our waiter wasn't kidding when he said it's delicious. I genuinely got mad when I tasted it because I've always been proud of my red sauce, and no sauce has ever beaten my recipe, but now I'm determined to scratch my recipe up and recreate this one. Sauce is the most important part of a pasta dish, so a plain sauce always means a plain dish, and you have to depend on parmesan to make it better. Not this one! It was a beautiful, bright red, fresh, tangy, with the smaaaaaaaaaallest hint of spice. I'm wondering if they add a splash of balsamic reduction for the tang? Not sure, but sure as heck wish I knew. It literally tastes as vibrant and bright as it looked. If there's one thing you try at this restaurant, it has to be a dish with the red sauce. Lastly, we got a free cheesecake with a homemade strawberry sauce. I didn't know the sauce was homemade until I bit into it and I literally wanted to throw my spoon down and stand up out of pure bliss like that guy on TikTok who checks meat for tenderism. It was so good. Strawberry sauce is often overpowering, just a thick, nasty, too-sweet syrup, but this sauce tasted more like a jam. I loved it. Drinks: I got water. Gf got riesling. She really liked it! Environment: Warm. As soon as you enter, it feels like you're walking into a cozy, golden little restaurant. They do have TVs all over, so if you're into sports, good for you! The lighting was not bright but not dim, it felt....gold? That's the best way I can describe it. It wasn't too loud in the restaurant, so you didn't have to speak up and you couldn't hear other people's conversations, but it also wasn't dead quiet and we did go when there were only about 4 other tables being used. So I really don't know about how loud it is when it's packed! It was also warm in there, which is nice for a Texan like me who isn't a fan of the cold ;) Overall the environment was very warm and welcoming. Price: Fair pricing! Actually, pretty affordable for such fresh and local ingredients! Our bill was about $100 for what we ordered and the two glasses of wine. I think that's pretty fair! Staff: I didn't catch the name of the guy who took us to our table, but he was very welcoming and kind! We chatted about what we're doing here in Colorado and he let us sit at the booth table right next to the window. He said it was the best seat in the house ;) He was great! We also LOVED Brian, our waiter. He was so welcoming, kind, attentive, he knew all about the menu, he was incredible. He literally made our nights from how much of a doll he was. This was my first night up here in Colorado ever, so he was the first Colorado-ian that I spoke to! I truly hope everyone else here in this state is as great as he was. Brian was the perfect introduction to the beauty and kindness of this state. The red sauce was great, but he was the highlight of our dinner.
