Anniversary dinner! My girl and I were traveling all day and picked a random dinner spot, but we got LUCKY. I'll be separating this review as I do all my others! Food: I thought it was going to be just so-so, Olive Garden level italian food. I was wrong! I first asked our waiter, Brian, for recommendations and he said they were known for their Mama G's classic red sauce. We ordered the bruschetta and I got the linguini and meatballs, which has the famous red sauce. My gf got the lasagna and the greek salad. The bruschetta was delicious. I really hate it when restaurants throw diced tomato and basil on toast and call it bruschetta, Greco's did not. The crostinis were perfectly toasted - crispy but didn't crumble everywhere and didn't cut up the inside of your mouth. The balsamic reduction over the bruschetta was delicious, but I think the tomatoes, red onion, basil and garlic were mixed with some balsamic vinegar or something similar before being added to the crostinis and glazed. Vinegar should always be used to brighten veggies, not overpower them, and Greco's nailed the vinegar-tomatoes proportion. It was fresh, crisp, flavorful, and had the perfect amount of salt to enhance the tomato flavor. My girl's greek salad was huge. I didn't taste it, but I trust her opinion, and she said it was delicious. She didn't finish it but did take it back to the airbnb and is already snacking on it again :) The lasagna was delicious as well. The noodles were thin, so it didn't feel like we were biting into a chunk of pasta toast with sauce and ricotta as the butter, which happens often with lasagnas. This lasagna had the best ricotta cheese I have ever had. I asked the waiter if they used a bechamel sauce in the lasagna because of how creamy it was, but it was just the ricotta! They do not make it in house, I asked, and I wish I knew where it was from. Gf still won't stop talking about the lasagna and called her brother to tell him about it, lol. The star of the show: The red sauce. Our waiter wasn't kidding when he said it's delicious. I genuinely got mad when I tasted it because I've always been proud of my red sauce, and no sauce has ever beaten my recipe, but now I'm determined to scratch my recipe up and recreate this one. Sauce is the most important part of a pasta dish, so a plain sauce always means a plain dish, and you have to depend on parmesan to make it better. Not this one! It was a beautiful, bright red, fresh, tangy, with the smaaaaaaaaaallest hint of spice. I'm wondering if they add a splash of balsamic reduction for the tang? Not sure, but sure as heck wish I knew. It literally tastes as vibrant and bright as it looked. If there's one thing you try at this restaurant, it has to be a dish with the red sauce. Lastly, we got a free cheesecake with a homemade strawberry sauce. I didn't know the sauce was homemade until I bit into it and I literally wanted to throw my spoon down and stand up out of pure bliss like that guy on TikTok who checks meat for tenderism. It was so good. Strawberry sauce is often overpowering, just a thick, nasty, too-sweet syrup, but this sauce tasted more like a jam. I loved it. Drinks: I got water. Gf got riesling. She really liked it! Environment: Warm. As soon as you enter, it feels like you're walking into a cozy, golden little restaurant. They do have TVs all over, so if you're into sports, good for you! The lighting was not bright but not dim, it felt....gold? That's the best way I can describe it. It wasn't too loud in the restaurant, so you didn't have to speak up and you couldn't hear other people's conversations, but it also wasn't dead quiet and we did go when there were only about 4 other tables being used. So I really don't know about how loud it is when it's packed! It was also warm in there, which is nice for a Texan like me who isn't a fan of the cold ;) Overall the environment was very warm and welcoming. Price: Fair pricing! Actually, pretty affordable for such fresh and local ingredients! Our bill was about $100 for what we ordered and the two glasses of wine. I think that's pretty fair! Staff: I didn't catch the name of the guy who took us to our table, but he was very welcoming and kind! We chatted about what we're doing here in Colorado and he let us sit at the booth table right next to the window. He said it was the best seat in the house ;) He was great! We also LOVED Brian, our waiter. He was so welcoming, kind, attentive, he knew all about the menu, he was incredible. He literally made our nights from how much of a doll he was. This was my first night up here in Colorado ever, so he was the first Colorado-ian that I spoke to! I truly hope everyone else here in this state is as great as he was. Brian was the perfect introduction to the beauty and kindness of this state. The red sauce was great, but he was the highlight of our dinner. read more

We've been here 3 nights in a row! Such a fantastic Italian restaurant that honors their customers and has the best food in town. The caprese salad was by far the best I've ever had. So fresh and delicious! The wait time is close to none after a long day at the mountain, especially for large groups. You can sit indoors or out on the patio overlooking Main Street. The owner is so caring and funny he definitely made our group chuckle. Not to mention their fantastic happy hour! read more

We entered this restaurant and were immediately greeted by friendly staff and great smells! We split a pizza, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous helping of vegetable toppings. The Greek salad was delicious, fresh, and large--plenty for leftovers, when I'm sometimes disappointed and still hungry after eating salads. The desserts we ordered were fantastic. Stopped in for pizza last evening and it was delicious! My son and I split a large pizza and they let each of us build half of the pizza to suit. Nice selection of craft beers on draft. Service was prompt and friendly. Nice casual place for good food in a lai$ back atmosphere. read more

Came here on a whim since we were visiting Frisco and it started to rain. Nice restaurant bar with a lot of seating. Our waiter Shiran was really good and super friendly. Service was fast. We ordered the calamari and it had good flavor but was a little chewy. For our main, we ordered chicken parmigiana and chicken ravioli. Both were good but nothing out of the ordinary. They were decent sized dishes so we left full. Overall a good meal that was just a little above average but Yelp doesn't allow half stars. read more

Came here early on a Sunday afternoon to have dinner before a concert. Plenty of seating so we didn't need a reservation. There were only a few other tables occupied so we had lots of indoor/outdoor choices. You can definitely come here for a cute date night or to grab a bite after a long bike ride. Our waiters were awesome and always very quick to bring things out. We order a few different items, and they were all quite tasty. The table favorite was the creamy pesto ravioli. The flavor was amazing, only thing was the ravioli came out warm and it would have been nice if it was piping hot. Overall, the portion sizes were perfect as well as the prices. Came here later on in the night to grab a pizza and salad. Service was so nice to let us bring the dog inside the patio area and even brought a water for him. I did the margherita pizza and Caesar salad. Overall, the pizza was fine with a good balsamic reduction on top. I would say the tomato slices were too heavy and the cheese would often fall off as you tried taking a bite. Def more of an American Italian taste. We originally intended to visit a different restaurant, but it was as too busy. I'm so glad it worked out that way, as we stumbled on this restaurant. The menu is vast, and the food is exceptional. It is in a large space, which was also fairly full with diners. I am very discerning with Italian food, and this food was delicious. I had the Chicken Parmesan, and the serving was more than ample. My husband and I shared a cannoli for dessert, and he commented that it was one of the best he's had. I definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

The Magherita pizza was okay. I really liked the crust but the tomatoes were bland. The sausage and meatball bowl was good. In fact, I really enjoyed the meatballs. It had good flavor. The service was also great. Our server, Kerry, was very patient and nice. I ordered an Aperol Spritz, which was very flat that I sent back. We stopped in here for the first time a few weeks ago. My wife and one of the kids got chicken alfredo, that they both really enjoyed. I think the only difference for the kids meal (aside from portion size) was less seasoning/garnish, which worked out great. We had a really positive experience. Two of us came on a Sat night round 6:30 and waited about 30 mins for a table. The place was clearly very busy. They had a good selection of local beers on tap (I selected an Avery IPA). My son ordered the Supremo Pizza and I went with the Pesto Bistro Pizza ($14 each for 10" sizes) and we both really enjoyed them. They were plenty big for one person. Greco's was just as delicious as the first time I went! I try and make a point of stopping in here whenever I stay up in the mountains and it's never disappointed. My date was the only disappointment that evening! Tess was our server and she was great. I'm doing this review like a month late but she provided memorable service and was great to chat with. Located in a great area of Main Street, Greco's has fun Halloween decorations to go with their delicious food! We got seated within minutes and we were a large party of 8. We shared the chicken Parmesan because it was so large and also got a Caesar salad that was large enough for 5 of us to share! Also got the Fire Martini which was delicious, sweet and spicy in all the best ways! For dessert we ordered peach bread pudding and a cannoli which was great! Last summer, not long after indoor dining was allowed again in Colorado, we rolled in to Frisco around lunch and saw "Fresh Pasta" on an advert for Greco's. It was a rainy, cold day with not a tourist in sight. Fresh Pasta? You don't have to twist my arm. Coming in from the rain, our hostess greeted us warmly and led us in to an odd combo of dining room and sports bar ambiance with a dash of an old saloon with Silverheels dancing. We were tucked far from the bar and TVs, but close enough to watch any action on screen. Staff were masked and they seemed to take social distancing seriously. The signature Pappa G Pasta sounded good until I read that the meatballs have sausage--not my thing. However, my yardstick for a new Italian joint is some kind of pasta Bolognese. Here, the ragu includes Polidori sausage and comes with penne. My portion was generous, pasta perfectly cooked, and the sauce robust and filling. Upper echelon? No. Above average? Yes. I'm told the massive Greek salad was a 7/10, though I didn't try it. While I didn't see a beer that sounded good, they do have a decent selection of macro micro brews and a few local options. Our server was friendly, but easily distracted. We waited long for water refills, longer for the check. Overall, Greco's hit the spot and might be the place for you if you dig fresh pasta, like sports, and enjoy a casual vibe. 3.5 stars. read more

Coming from the East Coast, we wouldn't expect to find good Italian food in the middle of the mountains, but Greco's proved us wrong. We had an enjoyable meal with very friendly service. Greco's is a very family oriented restaurant and was packed for a Tuesday night. We ordered the Chicken Piccata, Shrimp Alfredo, and the Caprese Salad. Since, it was still happy hour, we were able to order the Salad off the happy hour menu for $8. Happy Hour is 4-6 and offers a good selection of discounted drinks and food options. Went here during happy hour and the staff was very attentive and helpful. Ordered a few appetizers as my meal because it was the best deal. The food was pretty good, and the portions sizes were perfect to fill you up after a long day of skiing. The restaurant started to get pretty busy at we were leaving. Ate here Wednesday night. It was horrible. I had the Bolognese pasta . Its was not any close. Instead it was some penne covered was dried out overcooked ground meat covered with tomato purée out of a can which apparently was supposed to pass as marinara. Honestly felt sorry for the server having to serve such vile slop. Even the tiramisu we tried was poor at best . I would strongly recommend not eating here ever. read more
