You would think we licked the plates clean! But we actually swiped them clean with their homemade house bread!

Another fabulous meal at Bagalis! It really is the best Italian in Summit County! The owners are delightful, a true locally family run restaurant. Our waitress Lisa was great! Don't missed their delicious breakfast/lunch sister restaurant across the street... Bread and Salt!

The menu is pretty standard with pancakes, French toast, omelettes, sandwiches/bagels, etc. I got the sunrise BLT (a regular BLT with egg) with hashbrowns and it was pretty good. It probably wasn't worth the price ($17.00) for the portion or presentation but it wasn't disappointing by any stretch. The service was very slow for a half full restaurant. The waitress took 15 minutes to take our order and then about as long to come check on us again and again to get our check. I noticed the waiter wait on other tables, bring out food, and cash out his patrons that got there after us and we were waiting on the woman (maybe mid thirties?) the entire time. Inside the restaurant was clean, well decorated, and inviting. I really enjoyed the bar presentation and the cabin-like theme is right on par for Frisco. Perfect for a casual brunch date, family dinner, or eating in a nice space after a hike.

A decent choice for Italian food in Frisco. The food took a while to come out, but they bright fresh bread to help pass the time and the host and waiters were all very friendly. Certainly more of an upscale ambiance than many of the other restaurants on this gorgeous Main Street. I ordered the Rocky Mountain Ruby Red Trout. It was well cooked, but the main and its sides all lacked flavor. The Corsara Fettucini and Truffle Fries were both delicious, but not worth their prices. The pasta started at $26 and prompted a $12 upgrade for chicken and more for other protein options.

We had a party of 6 come in at around 11:15am on a Tuesday - Host was hospitable and welcoming. We jumped in on a whim with no reservation before the lunch rush, but were attracted to the reasonable prices. We ordered 6 dishes at 11:30ish which promptly came out at 11:48 - great timing and all came out together. What really set this experience apart was our server Braulo (I do hope I'm spelling that correctly). He was attentive, and we didn't have to wave him down for a second round of drinks or to order our entrees. He combined the experience centered side of italian hospitality (not rushing us at all, didn't offer the check or rush us until we asked for it) with the attentiveness of american hospitality (coming to ask how things are after two minutes, coming to refill water and making recommendations). Food was delicious - I was the only one who needed a box which usually doesn't happen with my large party. I ordered the avocatini green sandwich (as attached). Everyone licked their plates clean. Restaurant was clean and ambiance was set with twinkle lights and calming music. 11/10 recommend!!

We walked into Bread +Salt but we were a party of 11 and they couldn't seat us. The hostess was kind enough to tell me that across the street was Bagalis with the same menu, same owners, same cost. We were grateful. We walked in and were the only ones there. The ambiance was more elegant and our waiter was great with our party. Food came out fast, and was delicious. I forgot to take pics of the food.

Tiramisu that outshines many others, very good drip coffee.

The impression I had at Christmas dinner was that this is a well run restaurant that produces quality, refined food, serves excellent wines and mixed drinks, and very importantly values its guests. We liked the comfortable cafe vibe Bagali provides in downtown Frisco, but seating is mostly if not entirely hard, wood chairs at normal and bar height. Service was en pointe, professional, very attentive and prompt from start to finish. Drinks. Wine - the California Cab and especially the French Ganache were exceptionally delicious! The Prosecco Brut was also worth tasting, the Mule got good marks. This may sound out of place, but even the drip coffee was really good - a very welcome surprise at the end of a delicious meal where many others disappoint. The menu has some standard Italian fare, from pizzas to a must try Bolognese sauce on house made pasta - excellent! The Caesar salad was very nice and light with freshly grated, at the table, Parmesan cheese. Then there are some more adventurous, Italian-Mexican fusion dishes like the braised Colorado lamb with queso, chiles, cilantro, corn and again house made pasta. The lamb pasta was my choice and I am glad I stepped out of the more traditional options to try it. However, while I was advised in advance by our waiter that the sauce is a bit watery by design, I can't say that I really loved that aspect of the dish. The grilled Chilean salmon faced some stiff competition as you can see, but arguably, won the contest for best dish of the evening. Another must try. Two of us shared the tiramisu and I will say if you have become jaded by mediocre tiramisu, then you should really try Bagalis. Lastly, we could ,see how parking might be a problem at peak times, but on December 25 we lucked out and were able to park right in front of the restaurant.

We were able to sample the wine before getting a bottle which I appreciate. The wine we had was delicious. Now food was a little bit of a miss. We got a charcuterie board which was good. The cheese and salami selection was good and it came with crackers, marcona amonds, fig spread and olives. I mean honestly nothing fancy or unique about it. But it pairs well with wine. We also got the focaccia bread which I felt was kind of greasy. I didn't even dip it in the oil cause it had enough oil in its own. We also got the margherita flatbread, but that didn't feel like a flatbread at all. The bread was thick and made it feel more like a pizza. The taste was good so I won't knock it completely, but I wouldn't be calling that a flatbread. Service was great, just a shame the food doesn't live up to expectations. I'd probably stick to the wine and charcuterie which were the best things I had.

The sushi bar wasn't really lively, they block the view overall so you don't get a "sushi bar" experience from the chefs. Our waiter seemed flustered because he was understaffed but we put our orders in for drinks and tried to make the best of it. I ordered a mocktail and it was so sour you couldn't drink it. So I asked for a different drink. When we got our miso soup it was so salty that none of us at our table couldn't finish it. The "bread" for the table isn't impressive and they decided to plate our entire groups order on a skateboard? Which had paint chipping off of it? (Food grade? Probably not) Like a lot of other reviews it's confusing here. The sushi....the sushi was warm. My cuts of fish on my nigiri's that were raw were warm. The monster spider roll was rolled so bad that the nori sheet was hard to chew. As the night went on tables weren't used, and we could have sat at a table with the turn around times we saw. Overall, for the price they charge it's not worth it. Go into downtown Breckenridge if you're looking for sushi because this isn't it.

As far as I could tell it was an incredibly dry piece of chuck swimming in salty thick meatloaf gravy. It was edible, but only because I was hungry and knew what it cost... you needed water to get the meat down. Asparagus was good. I started with a specialty roll, the Hot Hippie w/salmon. $20 (12 plain. 8 for the fish). Good but not $20 good. I guess I'm used to specialty roles being oversized, which this was not. Also got the Iwai old fashioned. Tasted like a glass full of crushed ice with whiskey. Could barely tell it was an old fashioned. So, my meal was $80 before tip, nothing was great, I'd try somewhere else or maybe just different options. The front bar seemed lively and fun. Maybe that's the better call with an attentive bartender and conversation.
