    Gemelli and chef special risotto
    Brennan K.

Quick helpful service, amazing place to see the sunset, and great chef specials. I understand why t books out in advance. We were able to snag a last minute reso at 5 o'clock thanks to a cancellation and we enjoyed the whole experience. Lovely staff, plus our food was quick and delicious. We got the gemelli which was great in its simplicity, and the perfect about of sauce, along with the chef special risotto which had scallops, asparagus and sun dried tomato's. The scallops were cooked to perfection, which isn't easy, and left us wanting more. Portion sizes were great, we only got two entrees and did not leave feeling hungry, however their appetizer menu looked great and will definitely try some more items on future visits!

If you're looking for authentic Italian food in a charming atmosphere- look no further than La Nonna! I'm Italian & this place is legit!! The service friendly and helpful. So many options on the menu that they have something for everyone with a great wine list by the glass or bottle !

Everything about this meal was lovely. It was super cozy inside for a winter day and we were seated by a large window where we could look down on the town. The staff was kind and funny and let us sit there and unwind after a day of skiing. It's a two story building so you do a coat check with someone downstairs (make sure you say hi to the cute dog there) and then Mae your way upstairs to the bar and restaurant. No complaints about the food, it was so delicious and we were trying everyone's dishes. The calamari was the star of the show and everyone loved their pastas. The sorbet was divine and while the bill was pricy, the quality of the food matched the cost.

My favorite little gem in Vail, with great views if you can get seated near a window. The place can fill up fast, but is one of the best restaurants in Vail. Everything is amazing, I've never had a bad thing. The service is efficient and friendly, a must try when in Vail.

    Mushroom ravioli - - orgasmic
    T W.

Some hits and some misses The hits: my mushroom ravioli was orgasmic, especially if you like truffles. Also their focaccia was excellent however they charge for the bread. This should have been complimentary as virtually all restaurants do. The lavender dream cocktail was very good as well. - refreshing and not too sweet. The ambiance , bar and artwork were very nice. The misses: we ordered the special veal piccata and I'm still trying to figure what they were thinking. ( see picture ). It looked more like veal Marsala but with no flavor. We asked the waitress and she said oh they add a demi-glacé sauce - well that's not veal piccata which is typically nice and lemony. The Ceasar salad was marginal at best and we split it but they bought out a salad on one plate. Fortunately we asked them to cut it in half and they did. Another miss was our waitress - she never even came by and asked us how our meal was but she would come by and weirdly tuck the napkin in and around the remaining bread in the bread basket without saying a word and the. Just move on. Weird

My friends and I had a wonderful time at La Nonna. I had heard mixed reviews beforehand, so I went in with low expectations, which may have made the food and ambiance feel even more impressive. For appetizers, we tried the focaccia, burrata, and calamari. The focaccia was diced into small pieces, which I found a bit odd, but it tasted good. The burrata and calamari were delicious--I'd definitely order them again. For the main course, we shared the short rib, mushroom ravioli, and vodka pasta. Everything was stellar. The mushroom ravioli was incredibly rich, so I'm glad I didn't get it as my sole dish. It was fabulous, but too heavy for a whole plate. The short rib with mashed potatoes was delicious, but my favorite was the vodka pasta. Its simplicity was perfect, and it was executed so well. We also tried the tiramisu for dessert, but I could have skipped it. It wasn't bad, just not memorable compared to other tiramisus I've had. As for the service, it was just okay. We had a strange interaction with our server when we asked her to bring olives with my friend's Venetian Spritz since we noticed theirs didn't come with one. She responded by saying it was weird and that she had never heard of it, almost as if she didn't believe us. It was odd because, if you look it up, that's what a Venetian Spritz is. She also took quite a while to check on us between visits, though they were very busy. Overall, the service didn't ruin our experience, but it could have been better.

Hands down our favorite meal in Vail!! I don't even like pasta that much but loved this!! Small, cute, intimate restaurant so reservations are suggested ! We had an amazing experience! We began with cocktails and some appetizers! Octopus was excellent and tuna was one of the best presentations of tuna crudo o have ever had! Then we had the pasta course and this pasta hater finished her dish / maybe it was the 4 hour hike that preceded this - maybe it was the truffle as I love truffle anything - or maybe it was just that damn good! A spectacular meal in Vail and one that took the honor of best meal of this trip !!

Ron & Kori. These two went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed in this amazing restaurant. The food was so delicious and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you again with all the love from, The Jaffe's

Highly recommend setting a reminder and getting a reservation here!! However we did unfortunately have to wait a little bit despite having a reservation. We got seated right by the kitchen which was very lively and fun but we did feel in the way at times. The food was all worth it though! The mushroom ravioli and homemade bread was definitely the best- so fresh and delicious. Can't wait to come back here next time we're in vail!

Lovely views from the patio and food/service are great. Lively environment

Service/food and ambiance were great! Slava was a fantastic waiter and the rest of the staff was wonderful as well. Thank you for a lovely evening on the patio

Giving this a 2 star service was okay, the waitress seemed rushed and ignored us multiple times, the bill was well over $100 and was not worth it too me, it wasn't horrible but it wasn't good and worth that amount, it was a cute place but overall wouldn't go back, overpriced too me

This place was recommended highly by everyone we asked. Although it was summertime, we walked in and easily got a seat outside for two. I loved the look of outside and the decorations to go along with the Italian feel. Sean was our server and he was amazing! Gave many recommendations based off of things we liked and what went best together. The drinks were phenomenal, the calamari was delicious, and the view made it all the better! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I know if I make it back to Vail again I will stop there!

They have the cutest spritz window experience on the 3rd floor of the Four Seasons. It was such a fun, different way to kick off the night! Price: Around $18 per drink. With a tip, you're looking at about $20-$25. My opinion going out to get a drink is expensive but it's Vail! If you go to Vail you know things will cost more. I personally think it was worth it and would come back. Customer Service: The service was great! You just ring the bell at the window and someone comes to help you pretty quickly. They were very kind and efficient. Atmosphere: It's very relaxing. We sat outside in their outdoor patio area which had a fire pit and seating. It was the perfect spot to just sit, talk, and get to catch up with each other. Drinks: I got the Barca Spritz, which is a blood orange flavor. It was refreshing and cute. My friend got the Limoncello Spritz, which she really enjoyed. Overall Experience: This was such a fun hidden gem moment for our girls night. I would definitely go back just for the drinks and the outdoor patio fire! Pro Tip: A huge bonus for this location is the parking! You can park for free after 3 PM at a nearby lot the S. Frontage Rd. Then our second option, The Vintage, was closing for brunch (Yelp failed us again and told us that they're open until 9:00 PM). Everything here is wildly expensive. Which we normally don't mind if the quality is there. Do not be fooled by the scratch made pasta. The pasta is bland. For reference, and before we get into how lackluster the food was, note that they CHARGE TO SPLIT PLATES. They charge $6 to split a small and $10 to split a large plate. You're better off just ordering something between $10 and $15 and getting something for your money. They also automatically charge you 3% for cost of living and the only option for gratuity is 20% (or custom). People come here for the patio ambiance not the food or service. Our waiter was barely at our table. We needed a refill on our water and it never came. We needed more Parmesan and we had to ask another waitress after waiting 10 minutes. The tagliatelle with truffle butter was a dud. It's butter with noodles. The truffle pulled through too much and the butter was not salted. We added a bunch of Parmesan to give it some flavor. Even then, we left half of it behind. The chicken panini was just ok but better than the pasta. The focaccia is made fresh and was the standalone highlight of both meals. PASS ON THIS PLACE. It was clean and inviting. They offered an array of choices, so there would be something for everyone if you decide to dine here. The food was good, preparation and display were done carefully, but the taste was overall just ok. The appetizers we chose were Warm Pimento Cheese, which was mildly flavorful, but good, and Prime Beef Carne Apache, which had no flavor at all. The main courses we chose included a pork dish and a chicken dish. The chicken had great flavor, but was placed on a bed of potato wedges which were not all completely cooked through.
