The online ordering is quick and easy however I dislike the sign on the door about a dress code. I too understand their point but you are not a 5 star restaurant and can't tell people how to dress or act. Absolutely atrocious customer service on a simple pickup. We ordered 2 pizzas and they got one of them wrong. They then promised to deliver the 2 pizzas in a half hour, but without providing a discount. They then delivered just one pizza. I told him to take it back. It's the absolutely horrific customer service, undercooked/soggy pizzas/dry chicken/cream marsala sauce (screams in Italian), nearly 2 hour delivery times and managers with absolutely no desire to even speak cordially/without exasperated "who cares" attitudes with patrons after THEY allowed inedible food to be dished up from their establishment...for me. Seriously. After three hungry/frustrating recent attempts of trying to support a family run small business and a plethora of money thrown out the window? I'm done. I am very disappointed with how Barraco's treated my colleagues l. We booked a team building event that was held in a private room near the back of the restaurant on a Friday evening. We were playing rap music on a small Bluetooth speaker. A manager named Helen came in and told us to turn off the music because it was disturbing the other customers. This is impossible. The Bluetooth speaker is too small to broadcast loud enough to be heard in the dining room. I have photos attached to the review to show the size of the speaker and how far the room was from the rest of the restaurant. I am especially heartbroken by this because most of my colleagues are African American and they have welcomed me with a warmness that really makes me feel a part of the group. This is my second day ordering from Barraco's. Yesterday I ordered a Mediterranean salad and it was horrible along with the chicken creamy soup. I called and complained. I got a credit. Tonight I ordered a large chicken and Italian sausage pizza. The pizza was dry and no sauce. And the chicken is hard. This was a nice place to have a date night with my hubby. The have a good lounge we went to while waiting for our table. They are a little on the pricey side, but was able to make three meals out of one plate. I got the chicken fettuccine and it was fabulous. 1st time I tried this pizza was at the day in the park for Evergreen Park and I really like it. So we decided to order the sicilian pizza, sausage and cheese with a small side salad. If I can give this place no stars, I would! I went there tonight with my friend, the lady said the bar was open, so my friend and I found a spot at the bar. With in a few minutes later, they said they have a strict dress code and we had to leave! Mind you they said my friend who is a black guy had his shoulders out (cut off shirt)! Meanwhile as we are told that they won't serve us, there is another customer there who is female had a cut off shirt as well but she got to stay, eat, and drink! I also saw another female walk in with a cut off shirt and was able to sit at the bar! We were treated unfairly, and sadly, race had to do with it! The lady didn't like how we were dressed and pointed to a wack dress code flier they had posted on the wall! Mean while we passed the dress code flier since the lady said the bar is open, sit anywhere you like, but since she didn't like how we were dressed, she said she can not serve us! i attended a luncheon at Barraco's following a lovely Memorial Service yesterday. We were a group of 60-70 people and had a private room. Everything about our experience was wonderful, the food was delicious with something for everyone, the service was amazing, right there when we needed something, and never rushing us. We lingered at the restaurant with some of the family when the luncheon was over and had a drink and got caught up. Again, they could not have been nicer and more accommodating - they even bought us a round and sent over a pizza. This was an emotional day for the family and Barraco's team seemed to know exactly what everyone needed. Thank you for taking such good care of me and my friends. read more

The most flavorless Alfredo Sauce I've ever had :( It was one of those -11° type of nights and practically every restaurant was closed due to extreme weather conditions and our first choice (Palermo's) which most of my company were huge fans of, was closed. We drove around and stumbled upon this place bc, well, they were open. For it being a very slow night, they were EXTREMELY slow getting the food to us and we were sooooo hungry. They ended up giving is 3 helpings of their complimentary bread. That bread is really good btw! But we got so full we all had take away. We ordered a pizza to share and my husband and I split a Tour of Tuscany (I believe that's what it was called) which had 3 different kinds of pasta dishes. I only had the Alfredo so I don't really remember what the other dishes were. The pasta itself was prepared perfect, the sauce-- that's another story. It was so bland that my husband asked for some garlic powder and added some salt to try and revive it. It helped but we shouldn't have had to do that.
