I've eaten at the EP location for decades. Ordered a deep dish pizza for our company that evening to try. Needless to say, they won't ever order from this place because EVERYONE GOT FOOD POISONING!! I called the next day to inform SOMEBODY and after having to call 2 locations, had to leave my name, number and issue. NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO CALL BACK! Guess the only thing they care about is cash in their bank account than people getting sick! Phil's pizza will be our only pizza place from here on out! read more

If I could give a 0 I would I ordered $100.00 worth of food and the large deep dish pizza that I ordered was sour the sauce was bad and horrible I called about only the $30 pizza remind you I spent $100 and today I call for the credit I was given and she told me my credit was for $13 are you serious first time I ever ordered and horrible would not recommend this place they. Couldn't even credit me full amount for the pizza they wanted an extra $18.00 what a joke I have been a kitchen manager for 22 years and making pizzas for 22 years this place sucks hung up on them you can keep your $13.00 read more

This place went down hill rude and dirty , trashy druggy waitress , classless managers , place has become a joke , you order food repeat it and they bring to table wrong , pathetic read more

We stopped going because the music/radio was so friggin loud. And, really, do we need a tv at every single table including hanging from the ceiling?? While the food is usually good, Mama Barraco should be ashamed of herself for having a simple pasta for $24 - give me a break - it's flour and water!!!! read more

The online ordering is quick and easy however I dislike the sign on the door about a dress code. I too understand their point but you are not a 5 star restaurant and can't tell people how to dress or act. I have seen plenty of white guys dress the way you describe on this posted letter refusing service. The letter is more offensive than the point your establishment is attempting to make. I take offense to that because it is directed at a certain demographic. Maybe I will just have to find another pizza joint. The food and the service are good. But this is not acceptable. read more

Needed a quick pizza and we ordered it during a busy time on NYE and it worked out perfectly! It came right on time and the people on the phone were very accommodating. The pizza was delicious and it made the night amazing! read more

Absolutely atrocious customer service on a simple pickup. We ordered 2 pizzas and they got one of them wrong. They then promised to deliver the 2 pizzas in a half hour, but without providing a discount. They then delivered just one pizza. I told him to take it back. I called the restaurant to get a refund and the manager hung up on me. Incredible. Its ashame because the pizza is good. We will never order here again. read more

It's the absolutely horrific customer service, undercooked/soggy pizzas/dry chicken/cream marsala sauce (screams in Italian), nearly 2 hour delivery times and managers with absolutely no desire to even speak cordially/without exasperated "who cares" attitudes with patrons after THEY allowed inedible food to be dished up from their establishment...for me. Seriously. After three hungry/frustrating recent attempts of trying to support a family run small business and a plethora of money thrown out the window? I'm done. If I have to repeatedly state that I don't want a credit, I would have just liked to have my order correct, and MAYBE even a person to answer the phone, not place me on multiple holds for almost a half hour and to be treated with a semi-decent attitude from the "managers"? My guess is that they willfully choose availability over quality when it comes to employees running their business. They say it starts at the top...and the Evergreen location has been nothing but a downhill landslide since the fire. Good leadership must be lacking. read more

Received food with plastic pieces and burned calamari. Management is not concerned and looking for every attempt to avoid accountability. I felt sick after eating the food and took 24.5 hours to complain. Because of this delay management is refusing to refund. read more

Barracos should be ashamed of themselves. A long time pizza delivery driver killed going to bad neighborhood at 2 am to deliver a pizza. The drivers dont get any pay. Just tips and del charge. Do not order from here! Barraco's has declined so much over the years which is very sad. I ordered my calamari (I love it fried) and one day I decided to ask for less salt. It's so salty already, so what could it do to ask for less salt in the breading? BIG MISTAKE. They delivered me GRILLED calamari that was not even fresh. I know what fresh sea food smells like. Obviously somebody in the kitchen wanted to be smart. You'll never get my money again. read more

This is the garbage $30 pizza that was delivered to my house...I called and they sent a second one that looked just as bad. The "manager" that answered doubted that they would do such damage, and told me to bring it up their for inspection otherwise they can't do anything about it. Terrible service and terrible pizza. Never again will I spend a dollar here, too many average pizza places around better than this garbage. read more

I am very disappointed with how Barraco's treated my colleagues l. We booked a team building event that was held in a private room near the back of the restaurant on a Friday evening. We were playing rap music on a small Bluetooth speaker. A manager named Helen came in and told us to turn off the music because it was disturbing the other customers. This is impossible. The Bluetooth speaker is too small to broadcast loud enough to be heard in the dining room. I have photos attached to the review to show the size of the speaker and how far the room was from the rest of the restaurant. I am especially heartbroken by this because most of my colleagues are African American and they have welcomed me with a warmness that really makes me feel a part of the group. It hurt me to see them treated with such disrespect. read more

I recently moved to Texas and I tell you there's no pizza I've found yet that can come close to Barracos. I miss this pizza and the fries!!! This is my second day ordering from Barraco's. Yesterday I ordered a Mediterranean salad and it was horrible along with the chicken creamy soup. I called and complained. I got a credit. Tonight I ordered a large chicken and Italian sausage pizza. The pizza was dry and no sauce. And the chicken is hard. I'm not sure of what's going on with the cook but I'm a regular customer for this location. I am upset about the food I've been getting in the last two days. Do better. read more

This was a nice place to have a date night with my hubby. The have a good lounge we went to while waiting for our table. Really good thin crust pizza, I always get the Italian beef giardinera pizza! The pretzel sticks with the beer cheese dip is amazing!

The most flavorless Alfredo Sauce I've ever had :( It was one of those -11° type of nights and practically every restaurant was closed due to extreme weather conditions and our first choice (Palermo's) which most of my company were huge fans of, was closed. We drove around and stumbled upon this place bc, well, they were open. For it being a very slow night, they were EXTREMELY slow getting the food to us and we were sooooo hungry. They ended up giving is 3 helpings of their complimentary bread. That bread is really good btw! But we got so full we all had take away. We ordered a pizza to share and my husband and I split a Tour of Tuscany (I believe that's what it was called) which had 3 different kinds of pasta dishes. I only had the Alfredo so I don't really remember what the other dishes were. The pasta itself was prepared perfect, the sauce-- that's another story. It was so bland that my husband asked for some garlic powder and added some salt to try and revive it. It helped but we shouldn't have had to do that. I was stuffed so I couldn't really finish the dish besides, no flavor no taste :( Would we return? Not likely :T read more

Recently I had a meeting in the area and the friends I was with were looking for a good place to eat. After some thought this place came to mind (as it was close by), which was highly recommended by the person we were meeting with. Having not been to this place for many years, I was not sure what to expect. It was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was not very full so we got a table right away. After some scrutinizing the menu, I decided on the Pasta Medley which was a combination of different shaped pastas (ravioli with meat was one of them) which was filling and tasty. My friends got the Eggplant Parmasean and another pasta which they said were also very good. We also got the choice of salad or soup (I opted for the Minestrone which was hot and good as well). I will be back one day for more great Italian dishes! read more

The lunch buffet has gone down the hill! Most of the food old and cold .even the pizza. I asked fir some meatballs and they said they didn't have them today. Someone offered me some but they never came. Only when the waiter asked me is there any thing else I can get you ? He brought iver 2 big hot meatballs and some delicious red sauce. 1st time I tried this pizza was at the day in the park for Evergreen Park and I really like it. So we decided to order the sicilian pizza, sausage and cheese with a small side salad. We have lived in the area for 26 years and Barraco's used to be the only place we'd order pizza. Over the years, we've tried other places in the area and have found there are a few other good choices for pizza. I don't know if there is a single bad item on their menu. Literally everything I've tried is incredible and the menu is huge. I've barely made a dent and have had a ton of things from here. We are out of towers visiting from Dallas. I had some bicycle races in Chicago this weekend and figured I'd search for some gluten-free pizza options, being in Chicago and all. Walking into the restaurant and it's immediately apparent that this place is a hang out for a lot of folks. The bar is front and center and surrounded by TVs, as it should be. My husband ordered the Summer Shandy beer as it was supposedly on tap. They were out. When he asked our waitress what else that had on tap that was local she responded with Miller Lite. Hrmm. I ordered the cosmo and it came out as expected. Nothing special. Made with cranberry coctail juice from a plastic bottle. Nothing fresh, but also not entirely expected either. We ordered a Cesar salad to split in order to buy some time until our pizzas came out. The Cesar was very large but was also very underwhelming. It was soggy, like it had been sitting in a chiller since yesterday's service. The dressing was everything short of a Cesar dressing. Perhaps a watered down Italian dressing is being kind. Our pizzas came out and it helped to improve our perception of Barraco's overall. My husband ordered the deep dish 'Around the World' and I had the gluten free of the same variety. The pies were spot on. Very traditional. Personally, I prefer a bit more seasoning to my sauce, but I also understand that isn't 'traditional'. My gluten-free free crust was very likely a pre-made, frozen crust. I've come to expect that of most places. It is unfortunate that more locations don't invest a little bit and develop their own crust, but it is what it is. Overall, the experience was just 'meh'. If we found ourselves here again for some odd reason, I'd skip the salad entirely and just go for the pizza. read more
