Been here a number of times over the years, and we can say they still make a good thin crust pizza. The dining room seems a bit outdated ... in fact, it doesn't seem like they have invested in the interior in 20 years. The place is not run down, but it is dated. Maybe they are just holding on to the corner lot where they have a prime location. The dining room only had a few people in it, and thus the service was good. They don't seem to do the business they used to, but even with that it's hard to beat a pizza served fresh to your table off the oven. The house Chianti was very nice and priced the same. While we prefer the much larger Homewood original location, this place can stand in in a pinch. read more

Wasn't going to say anything but this just doesn't sit right with me. We've gone here for the lunch buffet plenty of times never had any issues with the food. When Covid happened they shut down the buffet bringing it back post Covid. Here's the issue, ONE DRINK ONLY with your buffet purchase, then you pay for additional drinks! Seriously Aurelio's? Was super excited to try this after a glowing recommendation but thought it was just mediocre. Oddly enough we were the only ones in the restaurant besides for a small family after 6PM on a Thursday which I thought was weird for a huge restaurant. The food came out pretty quickly and we tried tavern style pizza. Crust was good, sauce was super super sweet which wasn't for me but was okay overall. Not overly expensive and good serving size. It's a smaller version of the classic same menu just on a smaller scale they have seating for families and a Bar area very casual and welcoming. My husband ordered the pizza he got a thick crust I would advise against the the ratio of topping to crust not even close go with the classic thin crust. Stopped for buffet today. Food was too well done. Nothing was really good. The restaurant had a horrible smell. Very disappointing.

We came in today as a group, looking forward to having pizza and a drink. When we walked in we were barely greeted and the greeter just started walking us to the table. Once we sat down, we asked for a drink menu as it was 12:45. She said "I'm not making any drinks right now" as if we could not order a drink at all. When we asked why, she said that they were short staffed but the said " I'll start making them at 1 pm when someone comes in". I don't understand why she just didn't say this in the first place. Then when we were ordering, we felt rushed. There were no flavors for the margaritas, as that should have been said at the time of ordering. Her attitude and demeanor is why we walked out and left. People have bad days sometimes or are just not in the mood, but you separate personal from work when you are at work. We weren't even going to tip her at the end honestly because she was giving attitude and we did nothing. We were nervous because it said 3 stars on there, and we see why. read more

This was our first time here. I met my mother for lunch. We had the fried ravioli appetizer, thin crust pizza, and cannoli. Everything was good but the star of the meal was definitely the pizza. Extra credit for having roasted red peppers as a topping option. Most places do not have that and that's a shame. The dining room was very nice. I'm not sure how old this place is but it looked either new or recently remodeled. The mens room was nice and clean as well. Our server was very sweet and attentive. My mother and I were both very impressed by the whole experience, especially the pizza. I am puzzled by the bad reviews and especially by the guy who said "the pizzas are overloaded with cheese." My husband and I went to Aurelio's on Sunday April 13th on 159th and Oak Park in Tinley, I had reward points I wanted to use. To our surprise they had Happy Hour, the Martinis were very good and tasty. Our server Jessica was very attentive, sweet and made good suggestions. The owner came and asked how everything was which was nice. Our pizza was thin crust sausage and onion, it was delicious also. We sat in the bar, very relaxing, nice to have conversation. They also have slot machines in there. It was clean and updated. We will definitely be back soon. read more

There is nothing good to say about this pizza. Definitely not the original recipe of the past. The crust is burnt cardboard. The sauce is basically just tomato paste. I'm a pizza snob because of Aurelio's. First experienced in the Homewood flagship restaurant many years ago. Whenever I'm back in Chicago, it is a must-have for me and I eat Keto. The sauce is the secret which is a bit sweater than most, and a delicate crispy thin crust. The 'super six' can't be beat. T and I stopped here and the way to a concert. We had very low expectations since we didn't like the one in the South Loop. We were pleasantly surprised by the pizza. Not really either of our styles for pie, but nonetheless, we enjoyed it, and did not regret our stop. Crust was a bit soft for my taste and I'm more of a fan of extras on top of the cheese, but the sauce was good, flavor was good, and we enjoyed our server. Boneless chicken tenders will be a pass in the future for me. Really salty and they use the soybean oil, corn syrup based dressings to serve with. Really not a fan at all. Went to Aurelio's, Tinley Park today (7/9/2025) for their advertised lunch buffet. It was a disaster! When one goes to an Italian restaurant for a lunch buffet, one expects to see pizza, some pasta dish, Italian beef, sausage/peppers, fried chicken, meatballs, french fries and minestrone soup. Not here! Other than having pizza and some overcooked spaghetti, the entire remainder of the buffet consisted of (get this!), plain steamed vegetables, plain rice with vegetables, swai fish (who goes anywhere for swai fish?), chicken fajitas and chicken tortilla soup with sour cream and salsa. That's all! Many of the offerings were Mexican food in an Italian restaurant. Completely unacceptable and ridiculous. Owners/management should be ashamed of themselves. What a disgrace. All for $13.99/person plus drink! Never again. This used to be a respected Chicago pizza restaurant name, no longer. What a shame. read more

With being the only group there it took 25 mins to bring the appetizer out. 3 kids meals, a small pizza and a bowl of fettuccine took about 45 mins to come out. The gentleman at the door was very friendly. He came by the table a few times. I think he was a manager of some sort. This was our first time here. My fiancé and I actually wanted the buffet, which we thought was tonight. We found out, they don't have the buffet on Thursday. We decided to stay and ordered a large thick crust sausage pizza. The pizza is kind of pricey compared to most places we go to ($25), we did save $4 because pizza was on sale today. I did like the cheese and toppings. Crust was also very good, had a beer like taste. We also ordered the appetizer combo. The combo was bbq wings, ravioli, and onion rings ($12.95). I would not get that again. The pizza was good, the antipasto salad is not like Homewood Aurelios at all, it was missing the red peppers and very little green and black olives and also the ham and pepperoni and cheese was very lite.
