Their pizza is amazing thin crust or deep dish it is one of the best in the area. I have been ordering from this particular Beggars for over 10 years. I usually order for pick up but this time I decided to dine in and my dine in experience was the absolute pits. The three stars are strictly for the pizza. It was a week day mid evening and the restaurant was not crowded and I understand why. The service experience was absolutely disappointing. My waitress took my order and only returned to my table twice once to put a plate on my table and the other time was to put my pizza on my table. When I finished eating, I had to search for her to bring me my bill and then a second time to get a to go box. If the restaurant was crowded, I could understand the lack of service and attention, but that was not the case there had to be maybe three other patrons in the entire restaurant. I will continue to order pizza from Beggars but only as a pick up order and I will never ever ever dine in again.

The beef taco pizza is amazing. We loved it! Probably one of the top two taco pizzas I've ever tasted for sure. I would definitely get it again. My only complaint is prices are kind of high compared to some other pizza spots. We also tried the chicken taco pizza. That was also good, but we preferred the beef one. Service at carry out was good and they have a parking lot.

The food is always delicious. It was Halloween. The restaurant was busy with carry out and delivery orders, but it did not cause our food to be delayed. The waitress was very attentive. Came back often to check that everything was okay. This place is very consistent. They are not skimpy with the ingredients.

It's Friday night time for pizza

Just got an awesome massage and stopped here with my significant other for a fat, stuffed and fattening pizza. First, I sipped a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and munched on a Greek salad shared with my husband. The salad was delicious but a little salty. We downed a few fried taco appetizers - don't judge until you try them - and then the pizza arrived. It was delicious! Jalapeño peppers, cheese pepperoni, olives, onions and cheese -- yum! I could only down one piece as it's a meal in itself. The service was good and the atmosphere relaxing. It's nice to be out again. One more thing... masks aren't required; however starting on 8/30, the mask mandate for Illinois kicks in and masks will be required once again. Go figure!

This is one of our local favorites! We walked in on a Friday night and it was very busy but we're sat right away. Our sever was good and took our drink and pizza order right away. We ordered our deep dish pizza order at the same time we ordered our drinks because it takes at least 50 minutes for the pizza to cook. She told us the time was running around one hour fifteen minutes for deep dish. We also ordered dough bites for an appetizer. Our drinks canes out quickly and the appetizer shortly after. Pizza took around one hour and the manager brought it to our table. Appetizer and pizza was really good. They have beer on tap and my husband and I both got 32 oz beers. This location is marketed with the Chicago White Sox. Funny thing, they were playing and the game was only on 2 TVs in the whole place. We had to ask to have it put on one of the TVs by us instead of Funny Car racing!

We order pizza every Friday. Beggars is a permanent fixture in our rotation. As they say they lay it on thick so expect that, don't complain about it. This is just all around a good pizza from sauce to crust to ingredients. We also love that they are absolutely consistent, always a great pie. Exactly as you expect it, every time.

    Cheese curly fries. Awesome.

The owner Brad welcomed us with a hearty hello, like we'd been there every Friday night since opening. If you're a fan of the 80's the decor will be right up your alley and the same with the music; a nice Mix of 80's thru early 2000's. My husband ordered a New England IPA on special and described it as an imperial IPA that it will f you up with its 8.8 apv. I was very happy to hear the salads are made with romaine and not that spring mix everyone is using these days. So we started our meal the BLT salad. Very tasty and a nice light start to the meal. Next up was pizza. The thinnest of thin and crispy crust. The sauce was a very nice blend. Tomatoe sauce and herbs were not over powering and in my opinion not too sweet. A good balance of cheese, toppings and sauce. Not so much sauce that it oozes out with every bite. They were very careful with the toppings and keeping them on the respective halves. The menu also has sandwiches the sound delicious and I can't wait to come back and try some. I hope they stay in business for many years to come.

OK Frankie. You mentioned to me on Sunday when I sat down to dinner there that you read all of your…read morereviews. Well my friend you had better take a seat and strap yourself in on this one. Frankie's Since 1988 is in my non-humble opinion the best Italian Restaurant in the greater Chicago area, Period. As my previous reviews state, "For 20 years I traveled the US on business with an unlimited expense account (it was my business) and I've eating in the best Italian Restaurant is NY, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, DC and even LA. The LA restaurants were easy to beat because I personally dislike with a passion (my sister tells me that I cannot use the word "hate" during the advent season, but read:HATE LA and every single thing about it. NFL Network and FOX Sports Networks FS1 and FS2 made me gor to LA maybe 20% of the time. I hated being there every single time. My daughter and her wife came in to Burr Ridge, IL from Renton, WA (Seattle) for Christmas and they just left me for my daughter in-laws more difficult planning and arrangements as she comes from yours-mine-and ours situation that is created by Divorce. Last yer we had them for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but this year on December 23rd, I had to say good bye. Before they left I asked them is they liked Frankies? Th ey both said, Hell Yes (they actually would never actually say that) but did embellish that bu offering that we can make this an Annual Christmas tradition and that while they are at it we can do the same every Summer when they make that sojourn back to Burr Ridge every Summer. Frankie's 1988 is literally that good. Frankie greeted us as he does ALL of his guests and I asked him directly to offer me an alternative to my traditional (Always ordered) option that is their Frutti Di Mare. Frankie suggested a couple of options and I settled on the Braised Short Rib over Pasta. Melissa our server indicated that Frankie suggested an upgrade to Risotto instead of Pasta (the kitchen staff is going to hate that I ratted you out on this risotto over pasta swap and it was.....very very good. I felt that I could actually replicate this very dish and rate it 4 of 5 stars. Maybe someone else would rate it 5 of 5 but not me and I felt I just might be able to beat this one. But the Frutti Di Mare? Never. Never ever. Same goes for everything else too. But I'm a foodie with mad cooking skills so, I'll be back twice a year Annually when my daughter and her wife come in. And then just sneak back in whenever I have a taste for the very best Italian Food, Service, Ambiance, and overall experience that you can possibly get in the greater Chicago area. So take that Frankie. and also take my thanks that you made this all happen, starting 37 years ago. Well done my friend, Very well done and Thanks.

I know it'll be there by my next visit, which will be soon. A seller for me is homemade pasta with an option for gluten free. If it was organic it's a hard 5. No judgement though. Frankie's is the spot where you park up by 3:45/3:50 and wait for the doors to open as their hours are short, hot and sweet. This is a tucked away spot packing tons of flavor on the small menu(major hit). Locals pack this spot asap at the bar so be there by 3:45. Haha. The restaurant has nice decor and attentive friendly service. As the server comes to the table with heavy greetings, they run down the special menu. Drinks are always good, nothing intricate but enough to elevate the experience and hit hard. The appetizers are good. I enjoyed the calamari and shrimp as well as the octopus. But now to the star of the show is their pastas. FRIENDLY REMINDER, all are homemade. The Pappardelle w/ Wide Ribbon Pasta, Black Truffle Cream Sauce and Mushrooms is amazing.. I added the gluten free meatballs and yummy. A savory bite. The rigatoni vodka sauce(added sausage) was a hit. Another star of the table was the Linguine w/ Shrimp,Broccoli, Evoo and Garlic. A fully loaded plate. The Gnocchi w/ Ricotta Cheese Filling, vodka sauce.. added meatballs was another hit. The star of the show was our pizza which resembles a meat lovers with pepperoni, Sopressata and Giardiniera (which is more like a relish and I love). I've had other dishes but after multiple countless visits this is what I love at this time. The pizza is cooked in a high heat oven which gives the perfect char, let it settle for a couple minutes as it sits on the table. Overall, when in this part of Illinois hands down the place to be. Hours are only 4-9pm and that says a lot. My only insight would be ask for the bread to be served warm. I'm sure a fresh loaf in the pizza oven for a couple of minutes will go a long way. ENJOY!

We took my mother in law there last night (6/12/26) for her birthday, as it is one of her favorite pizza places. Two people in our party of 8 ordered fountain soda, and both commented that they were very flat with little to no carbonation. After they each took a couple sips, we mentioned it to our waitress, who was very kind and apologetic. She offered to get them a different fountain beverage, but advised that it would be from the same machine as they have only have one fountain machine in the restaurant. As expected, these beverages were also flat. We explained to our waitress, who again, was very apologetic. When we received the bill, we were surprised to see that we were charged $9 ($4.50 per beverage) for beverages that were unsatisfactory. When we mentioned our disappointment to the waitress, she indicated that she would have to check with her boss to see if she could remove the charge. After a few minutes, our waitress came back and said that she could not remove the charge, per her boss. According to her "boss", nobody else complained about the fountain machine, so therefore she won't remove the charge. In other words, since nobody else complained, we must be lying. So much for "the customer is always right". It's not as if we ate our entire meals and then tried to send it back stating that the food was bad. Also, we had a party of 8 so our bill wasn't exactly small to where we were that concerned about the $9. At this point, it's about so much more than that. Fox's on Wolf clearly does not prioritize customer satisfaction. With so many great pizza options in the area, there's no reason to support a business that fails to value its customers. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.
