So being an East coaster, I love pizza. Grew up in Boston lived in Manhattan for a while, as well as Rhode Island and other parts of Massachusetts. First I want to say this is great pizza. The ingredients are fresh, the recipe is very good and the flavors are all there. But, is this a true NY style pizza? No it is not. There is an art to a New York pie that is very hard to master. It requires a special kind of dough with a little bit of semolina to crisp it up, you need to have three layers on an NY pie that include a firm paper, thin crust that doesn't collapse when you pick it up, a soft, cheesy thin layer of dough and sauce. If you do it right, you'll even get some heavenly dough bubbles that crisp up as well. While I loved the pizza here it is not an NY pie if that's what you're looking for. Will I go back? Absolutely! read more

Found this pizza place in an unexpected area. It certainly doesn't look like anywhere you would expect it to be as good. Pizza Di Farfalla is located in the back of a coffee shop in New Lenox. A kind of pretty strange setup but it's apparently popular enough. The prices are pretty crazy even for those artisan types of pizzas. Coming in here the first time it was confusing. It's actually in the same location as Gost Coffee Roasters. They usually have a sandwich board out front when they're open so just go in there. Go around to the back. There's a counter to order at and more seating. It's about $12 for the Garlic Knots. We got these and they were great for sharing. Bad thing is these are often sold out. That's no surprise because these are by far the cheapest thing. It's $20 or more for a pizza. These are just regular sized pizzas. Crazy prices to be honest. They may be good but it's way too much for this. Great pizzas as long as you can get past the high prices and running out of so many ingredients and items. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays. They have pretty limited menu and they still run out of whatever. read more

Pizza Di Farfalla - Margherita Pizza - Pizza Near Me - New Lenox, Illinois

Pizza Di Farfalla has been getting a lot of hype, so we had to see what the buzz was about. It's located inside Ghost Coffee--our favorite coffee shop in New Lenox--so right away the vibe is fun, light, and a little unexpected. (And yes, we obviously grabbed coffee too. It's impossible to step foot in Ghost without one of their top-tier drinks.) For food, we ordered the garlic knots and The Cade pizza (garlic, sausage, pepperoni, jalapeños). I added a side of Mike's Hot Honey for a sweet kick--not that it was necessary with the jalapeños, but it worked. The garlic knots were delicious, generously portioned, and a perfect warm-up. The pizza itself was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. One thing to note: this isn't your typical greasy, grab-a-slice type of spot. Farfalla leans into the fine dining side of pizza--brick-ovened, elevated, and full of flavor. It's not where I'd go to pick up a stack of pies for a family party after a long day, but it's absolutely where I'd go for a date night or a cozy movie night at home. I'll definitely be back--because apparently coffee and pizza is my new weird (and wonderful) combo. read more

This is different! It's a coffee shop, but, it's a pizza place. The pizza place is in the back. Kind of hidden. Drove right past. But. I guess we came back. However, now we are leaving. So, we get inside to order, then we find out they are closing early because of a catering event. So, no eating today. read more

Pizza Di Farfalla - Dining room - Pizza Near Me - New Lenox, Illinois

Simply. Great. Pizza. Pizza Di Farfalla is located within Gost Coffee Roasters space but they are the star of the show. They have the option to pick up at Gost or to have your pizzas brought over to Hickory Creek Brewing. I was able to preorder on Saturday by texting their number. Someone responded quickly, confirmed all details, and I paid upon pick up. Our food was ready within 10 minutes of our pick up time and Addy at the counter was so incredibly sweet. Our order was for the Roni & Ricotta Pizza (pepperoni, ricotta, basil, hot honey) and the Nonna's Pan Crust (add italian sausage). Both pizzas were so different in flavor but both clearly made with high quality ingredients. The Nonna's Pan Crust Pizza showcased their sweeter sauce, fluffy dough, and perfectly spice sausage. The Roni & Ricotta had a thinner crust to let the toppings be showcased. This easily was some of the best pizza in the SW burbs that I've tried and couldn't be more deserving of their high score by Dave Portnoy himself. Before leaving, I had the pleasure of running into the owner Giovanni. He could not have been a warmer person and filled with gratitude to do what he loves everyday with so much pride. It's wonderful to know the food is great but so are the people you are supporting here. Stop by Pizza Di Farfalla and try it for yourself; you won't be disappointed. Tip: The best way to order ahead of time is to text their number listed 24 hours in advance to place a tab. read more

We have ate here once, as it has been harder to get since their "barstool" or "one bite" review. HOWEVER, their food is incredible. Love the style, but the quality is what really shines. You can tell that they are using the best ingredients available. The pizzas are quite light, but savory. Lots of flavor. One area they can get better at... meeting timelines. When I order for pick up, I plan to be there and maybe wait 3-5 minutes. A pickup order shouldn't be 10-20 minutes late on a pizza that takes 7-15 min to make. read more

Unexpectedly awesome!! Came here for coffee and ended up enjoying a sausage pizza. The crust was crispy, the sauce was tangy and the sausage was excellent! I highly recommend this pizza if you're in the area! read more

Gio and his crew makes great pizza! Hidden in back of a very good coffee place is a temple of NY/New Haven style thin crust Neapolitan pies. We got 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 sausage + hot pepper pie. We finished the whole damned thing. Good mouth feel, crisp not floppy, fresh fresh ingredients which works well, pie oven that has been well used we can't say enough about the place. We're from NY and Gio's pies rank up near the tops. If we lived near, we'd come more often. Alas we had to do a detour from our road trip for this. Totally worth it. Funky cool seating area. Best to eat it hot right out of oven, burn your mouth roof while Crying tears of joy. Do yourself a favor, come try this place. read more

Fantastic pizza. Love the pizza sauce. Garlic knots are awesome with pizza sauce/dipping sauce. Pizza is mind blowing fresh out of the ovens. The space is fun and eclectic - like hanging out at cool uncle's house! Eat it fast, right out of the ovens, for best results. Grab a coffee and support local businesses! Great spot. Great people. Unique east coast style pizza. 8.4 all day long! read more

Absolutely delicious. The story behind these folks is beautiful. Just a man and his wife slinging pizza at home until they decided to take a leap and open a business. This is a must try. They take the time to develop rich flavor in the crust. It has great crisp, and they're clearly using top tier toppings. Great service from kind people, too. read more

I loved it. Such a cool spot with a "hang out" area while you wait for it to be finished. Gost Coffee is also awesome. Kids were a split decision, but they generally like thicker. I LOVE New Haven/NY style. This is a must-have in the area. No local pizza place comes close to quality and taste (if you like this style) Everyone was super nice, and friendly even though we're were early to our scheduled pickup time. read more

Wow is all I can say. Hidden in the back of a coffee shop is a gem of pizza spot. My family and I ordered a pepperoni pizza and sausage and mushroom pizza. The pizzas were made to perfection. The crust was crispy on the bottom and soft on the edges. I normally skip the crust but the dough was so flavorful and not salty. The pizza sauce was fresh tasting and bright. You can tell only quality ingredients are used on the pizza. The cheese wasn't greasy and the sausage had a mild kick. My kids and wife loved the pepperoni pizza. It had the perfect cupping you see with great pepperoni. Overall we loved the entire meal. The owner was very friendly and the staff looked like they enjoyed their work. Make the trip to try this pizza. You won't be dissatisfied. read more

This place is great. It's in the Gost store front. They have delivery but I choose carry out as I was at Gost. Have smelled it many times when at Gost so thought I would try. One slice and I can honestly say I will be back for more in the future. Crust perfectly cooked and amount of ingredients perfect portions. I'm not sure it's part of Gost but it is setup separately and looks to be separate operation with friendly staff. You can eat in. Glad I found this place. read more

Was at the coffee shop for a business networking meetup (5 stars for that). We kept smelling this amazing pizza. We ordered 2 Detroit pan pizzas to take home. Simply said - HUGE FLAVOR, awesome crust and a hardworking team to fill lots of orders. Even after a 25 minute drive home it was so irresistible. Pro tip - sit at the brewery in the same complex and nosh on the pizza with a cold beverage. All the businesses are super cooperative in this oasis of chic hospitality. For a couple years I've wanted to try this pizza and let me tell you I'm so glad I finally did. I've tried so many different places around the Chicago area and this one stands out and is different than anything I've had. Cheese pizza review- First of all you can instantly tell the ingredients are fresh. The sauce is perfectly balanced and did I say fresh? Most places sauce tastes like it came from a can, this is not that. Cheese was fantastic as well, not overly greasy and blended well. Then there's the crust...now I've never been to Italy but I'm guessing the dough recipe came from there? Old world vibe and little on the well done side which is the zone of the pizza gods. Not floppy, crispy with dark brown bubbles and it has that crunch. It's like New Haven but old world New Haven. The kind of pizza that will pair with a glass of red wine instead of beer. This is where science and art are synchronized. Sorry Geo, your next challenge will be scaling into a full scale pizza restaurant that takes us back to where your ancestors came from. Never had a mouth full of pizza that made me start laughing while trying to get the words out, "are you kidding me right now?? In New Lenox? Behind a coffee shop?" (And Gost is the best coffee ever) Absolutely remarkable pizza and can't wait to try the other pies. read more
