My wife and l were placed a carry out order by phone on a late Sunday afternoon. We ordered a medium pineapple and sausage with light cheese! 1 dinner salad no tomatoes with French dressing and a side of marinara sauce. The good: the pizza had a good amount of sauce and a lot of toppings! We liked the pizza overall. The French dressing was not the same as the Homewood Aurelio's location but was a good dressing. They have slices for $3 11am to 3pm on the weekends! We made a last minute decision to add a sausage and pepperoni slice! The slices were good! The slices were still available at 2:40 pm! The not good: not many toppings on the dinner salad! The pizza is not as good as the Homewood location! The pizza had a lot of cheese and was not light cheese. The pizza needed to be left in the oven a little longer to get a crispy undercarriage. Overall this is an ok Aurelio's location. read more

The pizza now baked by Aurelio's is nothing like the years past. Ordered a medium thin crust double sausage. Also asked to brown the cheese. The pizza I received was totally unacceptable! There was sausage under the cheese and on top of the cheese. The top sausage was overcooked on the verge of burnt, dried out and tasteless. There was a minimal amount of sauce on the pizza leaving another layer of no taste. We ate only four pieces as it was going against us. I immediately contacted the manager via a phone call and could tell I was talking to a teenager. He informed me that is the way pizzas are made and that's how I ordered it. I informed him I was a long time customer and this remark fell on deaf ears. I've been ordering Aurelio's pizzas for forty plus years, they have consistently been getting worse. Picked up some slices this past weekend and I was truly disappointed with my service. The older man at the counter who is always there, took my order and went back to get my pizza with his BARE hands, no gloves. Then proceeded to come back to the cashiers with pizza and sauce all over his fingers to take my payment. I was so grossed out. How unsanitary. The pizza was of course good but the place clearly needs sanitation training. Who knows who's touching your pizza with dirty hands. Not good at all for how expensive this place is. read more

Up visiting family and friends from Florida. I used to go to a dine in location but was in the area and had a taste for their thin crust pizza. I ordered Aurelio's from Maple street location and I was HORRIBLE. I order Chicken Parmesan with bread and a large cheese and sausage pizza. The bread was old came with no butter. The chicken Parmesan, some one cut up the chicken like I was a toddler and they burned the pizza, sausage was hard like it had been cooked several times. Haven't had Aurelios in a long time...Pizza Mia & Beggars has been my staple....but ordered from Aurelios Thursday...got a family size thin crust with 3/4 sausage & 1/4 green pepper. Well the sauce was good and cheese good but my wife likes green pepper and she had 2 pieces then had to take off the rest because she said it tasted funny. My son and I had the sausage pizza which was good but I think they were rationing the sausage....no piece had more than 2 pieces on them...very skimpy...I have seen more sausage on frozen pizza....DISAPPOINTED...so I guess it's back to Pizza Mia..Beggars...and now Tonys. read more

Aurelio's the Chain: Aurelio's has a very strong local following, some people will only eat Aurelio's. I am not one of those people. I enjoy their pizza from time to time, but the sweet sauce is too much for me to eat on a regular basis. The food is generally consistent though, and delivery comes quickly. They also have great sandwiches if you aren't in the mood for pizza. New Lenox Aurelio's: Drive up to the place and its appearance pretty much tells the story. The place is a dump. This particular chain, for whatever reason, does not appear to be well run. You do not walk into this particular location and feel like cleanliness is at the top of anyone's priorities. This is not a sit down location, take out & delivery only. I would say the food at this location is a notch or two below Mokena & Frankfort's Aurelio's. The service, on the other hand is far below both of those locations. Sometimes when you walk in to pick up a pizza the cashiers are nice and friendly, sometimes they have attitude and are rude. My official rating for this location is 2.5 stars, edible, but if you want to avoid the "ick" factor then try Frankfort or Mokena. read more

I've had Aurelio's a few times from other locations. In the past, I've had nothing to complain about. The pizza may not be the perfect pizza, but perfect is very subjective. My experience has always been at the very least satisfactory till last night. We ordered 2 completely different pizzas. One was cheese and sausage and the other was loaded with toppings. The disappointment came not in the cheese or toppings. First, the thin crust on both was so limp it was bordering on soggy. Second, the pizza was excessively salty. Now, I can sometimes enjoy some rather salty cuisine, but in this situation I could taste the salt over the toppings. Plus, it makes me wonder what is being hidden underneath all that salt. Again, I've had some good Aurelio's, but I'd be hard pressed to order from the New Lenox branch again. There's far too many alternatives at the same price point to consider the quality I received even close to acceptable. read more

This is the worst pizza in New Lenox! The suace has no spices nor flavor and the cheese is the cheapest cheese I have ever seen. I think even $5 frozen pizza has more quality. I have to say the Aurelio's location in Frankfort has way better quality pizza and breadsticks. We got the medium easy cheese pizza. That's what we got, the crust and cheese- no sauce! How can a pizza place forget about the sause in a pizza? At least the pizza was semi warm compared to the breadsticks and extra marinara sause. Used to love this place until I placed an order 2 nights ago. Onion rings were all burned up and inedible ( used to love them) and the bottom of both pizzas were pretty dark, but at least we could eat them and EVERYTHING was cold!!
