OPP is located in the old Durbin's Pizza - but WAY BETTER!! The service is phenomenal, from the minute we stepped foot in the door. The owner Brad welcomed us with a hearty hello, like we'd been there every Friday night since opening. If you're a fan of the 80's the decor will be right up your alley and the same with the music; a nice Mix of 80's thru early 2000's. My husband ordered a New England IPA on special and described it as an imperial IPA that it will f you up with its 8.8 apv. I was very happy to hear the salads are made with romaine and not that spring mix everyone is using these days. So we started our meal the BLT salad. Very tasty and a nice light start to the meal. Next up was pizza. The thinnest of thin and crispy crust. The sauce was a very nice blend. Tomatoe sauce and herbs were not over powering and in my opinion not too sweet. A good balance of cheese, toppings and sauce. Not so much sauce that it oozes out with every bite. They were very careful with the toppings and keeping them on the respective halves. The food is good. However the dining room is small and can only accommodate a few families at a time. It's not in my opinion pizza that distinguishes itself from others. The pizza is good but it's not pizza that's memorable. The owners are extremely nice. The staff are wonderful. But it is just a pizza shop. A pizza place called Old Plank Pizza Company that doesn't serve pizza as late as they're open. Open until 1am, showed up at 10pm and were told the kitchen was closed. If you're a bar, call yourself a bar, but don't call yourself a pizza place when you're not actually open for pizza. Terrible atmosphere also unless you're interested in bad karaoke. Excellent service, family owned and family friendly. 1 star off because it's about 20% pricier than comparable pizza places (real pizza places - I'm not comparing them to Little Cesar's or Pizza Hut). The nostalgic movie decor is fun to look at, and the owners do nice things like have free trivia nights to keep patrons coming back. The pizza itself is a thin tavern style that could use a little more cheese, but all of the ingredients are fresh and plentiful. They have a great beer list and are located in a walkable part of downtown Frankfort. You can tell it's family run as they are always there, and they employ locals who do a great job. I really want to support small businesses... But the last 2 times we've been here, we didn't get what we ordered. We always get a large SMOG...sausage mushroom onion and green pepper pizza. Both times we received a MEDIUM.. We feel they deliberately reduced the size, thinking we wouldn't notice. Once? A possible mistake...but not twice. And the owner. Chrissy will argue that she rectified the problem. Ummm , no. What you corrected was a mistake on the ingredients... The size we orderd was supposed to be a 14 inch. We got a 12 inch for the price of a 14. Three strikes you're out! I ce in on a Wednesday night for trivia. I sat alone at the bar Chrissy was behind the bar. I asked for a glass of water and a bottle of Coors Light. She got distracted by other customers who came to the bsr area. I asked again. I still got ignored. It took 3 requests to get my drink.. I ordered 3 large pizzas on yesterday, with wings and some other items. (oct 16, 2025) and we were not pleased...the crust was entirely too thin, and there was not much sauce at all . My co-workers told me they did not like it ..they were highly disappointed in me, because it was my co-workers birthday. I saw it on the news "around town with Anna Bellavaal" and from the photos it looked good but..nah i wont be back. Dropped my wife off at a bridal shower down the street and seen Old Plank Pizza and went in. Had the Chicago SMOG pizza. It was fantastic!!!! Nice crispy crust, the sauce was great and just the right amount of cheese. The bartender/owner was spot on. She was very attentive even setting up for a party. Top 5 Tavern Style pizza I've had, absolutely loved it, so thin and crispy with the perfect amount of toppings to accompany it! This was our first trip to Old Plank Pizza! It is definitely not our last. We had a birthday party with about 15 people in attendance. Our food came out quickly, the service was amazing, and, most importantly, the pizza was incredible. We now have a new favorite pizza--beef gardinare. I have never had it before, but I think I will be dreaming about it tonight. I only wish we lived closer to Old Plank Pizza. We also had tasty chicken wings that my granddaughter LOVES and bread balls were also fresh and delicious! Every time we come here we leave smiling and full! The pizza is so good! Crispy thin crust and whatever cheese they use is absolutely delicious. We always get the wrapper's delight because it's so flavorful! We also love to get the Mitch a palooza too. It's just the right amount of veggies. Been here twice now. Great place. Owners are on site. Food has been consistent. True tavern style pizza. They use fresh veggies and great cheese mix. They do karaoke on some fridays which made for a very fun evening. Server is great. She works each table in the place and you wouldn't know it. Completely on it. Sauce, sausage and cheese were markedly unseasoned or under seasoned. We purchased a large thin crust and added some salt, pepper and oregano.
