As loyal customers who live right around the corner, we sadly, will not be returning to Fox's on Wolf. We took my mother in law there last night (6/12/26) for her birthday, as it is one of her favorite pizza places. Two people in our party of 8 ordered fountain soda, and both commented that they were very flat with little to no carbonation. After they each took a couple sips, we mentioned it to our waitress, who was very kind and apologetic. She offered to get them a different fountain beverage, but advised that it would be from the same machine as they have only have one fountain machine in the restaurant. As expected, these beverages were also flat. We explained to our waitress, who again, was very apologetic. When we received the bill, we were surprised to see that we were charged $9 ($4.50 per beverage) for beverages that were unsatisfactory. When we mentioned our disappointment to the waitress, she indicated that she would have to check with her boss to see if she could remove the charge. After a few minutes, our waitress came back and said that she could not remove the charge, per her boss. According to her "boss", nobody else complained about the fountain machine, so therefore she won't remove the charge. In other words, since nobody else complained, we must be lying. So much for "the customer is always right". It's not as if we ate our entire meals and then tried to send it back stating that the food was bad. Also, we had a party of 8 so our bill wasn't exactly small to where we were that concerned about the $9. At this point, it's about so much more than that. Fox's on Wolf clearly does not prioritize customer satisfaction. With so many great pizza options in the area, there's no reason to support a business that fails to value its customers. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

Carry Out Review! My family ordered carry out from Fox's on Wolf for a holiday dinner. Calling in the order was easy and even though the restaurant was busy, our order of four pizzas was ready in 20-25 minutes. The pizzas were both bagged and boxed which was great for traveling. I tried the cheese pizza which was true tavern style, had a slightly sweet sauce, and great cheese blend. My family enjoyed the sausage pizza as the pieces were spread out evenly and not too large. We ordered (3) large pizzas and (1) medium which perfectly fed 8 adults and 3 kids with minimal leftovers. We will definitely order again! read more

We have been buying a medium size double sausage cooked crispy pizza from Fox''s two or three times a month for at least ten years as a carry out. This pizza has always been super excellent. Great ingredients and cooked just right. Price was fair for these times. HOWEVER, today's pizza was completely different and not good. All ingredients were different, sausage cheese and sauce have been changed. The amount of sausage has been reduced even when ordering double sausage. The crust could not get crispy due to the grease as you can see on the cardboard circle. This pizza also went up in price by two dollars. The old cost was $28 dollars and change, now it's $30 and change. This new taste is no better than a five dollar frozen pizza. I'm hoping this is a temporary change. I also ordered half slab/chicken dinner with a baked potato and veggies. The order taken said they come with 2 sides. I decided to take mac and chese and cole slaw. They charge me an additional $9 for slaw and mac and cheese. After I paid I questioned why it was so much higher and they said because I added the sides. I inform them I never wanted the sides They made no attempt to correct the bill. When I got the meals home they were short all the veggies, 1 mac and cheese, and 2 cole slaws. Even though this is a locally owned small chain, it doesn't mean it's always good. It has this location in Mokena that often seems to be fairly quiet. Fox's On Wolf is one of several locations in the Chicago area. Just so happens this is one of the newer ones. The atmosphere is kind of depressing, the beer is cheap, and they have average types of pizzas. After we ate here it can be said the coolest thing was the old school atmosphere. It has a big old wooden bar in the middle. This is pretty interesting since this is location isn't as old. It's $2 for certain domestic drafts. These are usually the basic stuff like Miller. As for the pizza, it's average. It's about $15 for a lunch special. This includes a 10 inch pizza, a choice of salad or soup, and 2 toppings. Actually you get a lot. The pizza certainly isn't worth $15 though. Good drinks with basic pizza is how to sum it up best. It's nothing fancy for sure. They have more than just pizzas, if you would rather have a salad or whatever. read more

Came to see the CPD bagpipes and drums. Pub style atmosphere with a small stage and clear restaurant dining area. Don't even think of ordering bottled water like my husband did. We were a bit shamed for asking for a glass of it (along with his cocktail) to the point she brought two full glasses as a refill. You may ask who "she" is. "She" is grumpy. And I feel for her. The young man assisting her was quick, professional, and polite. My husband rated his beef sandwich 2/5. Shame on him for ordering Italian beef in Chicago at a pub, though. Foxes on Wolf is a great place. The one thing I would have to say about it is that their pizza is best eaten hot. The flavor changes a bit as it cool so I wouldn't get it to go. We always eat in there and it is always very good servers are very nice. Sometimes the music is a little loud but we always have a great time. The sausage has changed. It is a little spicy now it never used to be. I don't know if they're using a new vendor or blending it differently so for those that are sensitive to spice you may want to choose something else otherwise this place is one of our favorite pizza place to eat at in the area! read more

Good local restaurant that specializes in pizza but has a full menu. I ordered a salad because I saw one being served and it looked very good. The salad was good and their dressings are are homemade. The hub got a mushroom pizza and it was good. There was an annoying fly flying around and landing on our food the entire time. I stopped in for pizza before heading over to the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater for The Chicks concert. I grew up going to Fox's in the Beverly area (Chicago), but this is my first time visiting this location. We walked in around 4pm to a semi-crowded restaurant. The hostess was busy so we had to flag her down in order to be seated. They were expecting a large party so the table options were slightly limited. We ended up sitting closer to other people than we would've preferred. We ordered a medium pepperoni and sausage pizza. The pizza was good, but didn't taste like the location in Beverly. The crust was much thinner than we would have preferred, but overall we enjoyed it. We ordered Coke's as well, but it tasted more like a generic brand vs the real thing. My brother had a Long Island Ice Tea which he enjoyed. The service was okay. Our waitress did check on us, but we had to ask the busboy for our check since our server was so busy. The restaurant was clean and comfortable with a warm ambiance. With a plethora of dining options in Mokena I doubt I'll return to this Fox's location anytime soon. read more

There was a whole list of rules posted all over entry way in regards to where, when, how you can sit...it was a crazy welcome, and the hostesses were none too friendly. It was a fixed menu for St Patrick's day and the prices were jacked way up...$28 for fish and chips which is normally $20, so there was a 20% mark-up. I really do like coming to this place. The atmosphere is great during the St. Patrick's holiday. That being said, there were a few things that have stuck out with me during my last several visits. 1) Our last two servers seemed very crabby. As if they didn't want to be there and it just kind of makes the experience less enjoyable. 2) One of the managers was screaming very loudly at one of the poor hostess girls in front of the dining area which I felt was in bad taste. We were all quite uncomfortable. 3) Not a deal breaker but they don't serve Black & Tan's here which I find odd especially during St Patrick's holiday. The Black and Blue's are ok but I'm not a fan.
