I really did like coming to this place. The atmosphere is great during the St. Patrick's holiday. That being said, there were a few things that have stuck out with me during our last visit this Sunday. The jacked up pricing on food is utterly ridiculous. $30 dollars for an order of cheese sticks and cheesy garlic bread is laughable. But that being said, they were the best things we ordered overall. We then ordered two corn beef dinners at almost $26 apiece, which was very minimal corn beef to say the least. Hardly none on the plate and sliced super thin. We also ordered a fish and chips at $26 as well. The fish was burnt to a crisp (black) and I had to cut the fish out of it because it was unedible and the fries were also burnt. If we're going to pay that much money for food it should at least be good. I'm almost certain to say we won't be back there since the last few visits were just disappointing. So if you're looking for some good entertainment, but don't want to spend a lot of money, then this is the place for you. But you will be paying a fortune for sub par food at best. read more

It was really bad service they were very nice they sat us and then I asked for a kids menu and then they went and they did not come back at all and it was really sad. Tldr: front of house was terrible, food was great. I made a reservation for 5 that included a relative in a wheel chair. Once I arrived with my relative in the chair, the hostess was having a conversation with another person, blocking my entrance. She looked directly at us and didn't ask the person she was chatting with to step aside. I had to say excuse me at least three times. It was definitely a very unwelcoming feel. When I got to the table to join my party the group also mentioned the rude welcome they received from the host. The main dining room was empty and yet our reserved table was positioned directly in front of the live music between both speakers just arm's length from the performer. We noticed many empty tables so we asked our waitresses to be moved. This required hostess approval which was met with it being a major inconvenience due to the other section closing. There were about 3 tables in the other section occupied and it was literally 15-25 feet away from our empty section. The pizza was great. read more

Overall, Foxes on Wolf is a fairly decent neighbor pub and restaurant however my wife and myself stopped at Foxes two weeks in a row and ordered the Baja (mahi mahi) Tacos. The first we went the tacos were sensational however, the second time not as good. It was kind of like they were using old oil. Also the fries had a not fresh taste. Also they appear to me a little short on help as our waitress, although very nice and friendly forgot to give me my second glass of wine and also, never brought us extra napkins upon our request. Nevertheless we will most likely continue to dine here as it's minutes from my house. read more

Waitress was horrible! When my friend placed her order, waitress actually said to her "Are you going to eat all that?" She was rude when someone asked for a dinner roll. She said nobody does dinner rolls anymore, if you want one it'll be 50 cents and take about 15 minutes! Then when she brought us take out boxes, she actually set my box on top of my food. Avoid Payron's if you can. Managers are rude, prices are exorbitant for low-quality food, promises of live entertainment went unfulfilled, and customer complaints fall on deaf ears. The management is the biggest problem! So inconsiderate and disrespectful of their patrons feelings. The place was not even packed today and we were one of the first ones there. We kindly asked for a seat where our children could watch and enjoy the band. I was ignorantly told no and if I don't like it I could leave the premises. I could understand if they were busy but they were not at all. Even when we left there were multiple seats open that had a better view than us. The prices were outrageously prices for deli corn beef sandwiches. We witnessed multiple people look over the menu and leave. They also said that the dancers were going to come around and dance and they didn't want people crowding around and that is why they did the seating the way they did. That also did not happen my poor son tried too look around the corner to watch while kids were lined up in his view. The only time we saw the dancers is when they came around to collect donations. We live in the neighborhood right behind fox's and go there to eat regularly and every st. Patricks day but today will be our last day there. The waitress Tina was the only reason we stayed there today but that will be our last time at Fox's what a shame. We enjoy Fox's takeout in Orland, but decided to try indoor dining on a Saturday. My husband, myself, and my 4 year old walked into the restaurant around 4:30pm. It wasn't very crowded and there was a band just starting to set up. The hostess sat us next to the band set-up, literally. The keyboard was touching my husband's chair and he joked he could reach over and play a few notes. The hostess nonchalantly said, "oh they don't start until 6pm so you should be done by then." Again, it's 4:30pm... so guessing it will be quick service which is fine by us as we don't plan on staying out late with a 4 year old. But the assumption is odd and rude. And then we wait. There is a waitress waiting on the table behind us. We make eye contact a few times but she refuses to come to our table. Several other waitresses are walking around. NO ONE comes to our table. I want to go up to the hostess to make sure the waitress knows she has a table (even though there are only like 5 tables with people in the bar area). My husband tells me just to wait and see... Twenty minutes go by and we decide to just leave. We go up the road to one of our favorite places, Girl in the Park, and have a great dinner. As we walked out, the waitress serving the table just watched us go... if they don't care about having customers, we definitely don't need to give them business. The food was very average and very overpriced. We had a large party, arrived at 4:30 on a Saturday. Grandparents, parents and grandkids. We intentionally chose an early time to feed the kids their dinner plus we knew it wouldn't be busy yet. The hostess and our server were very nice but literally every other employee we had the misfortune of encountering were extremely rude to us. We were scolded when one of our party excused herself to one of a dozen empty booths to nurse her baby. Our grandkids were on their best behavior, entertaining themselves at the table. We ordered 3 party sized pizzas, salads, sandwiches, cocktails, beer, wine, kiddie cocktails, pop. As the surrounding booths began to fill in we were met with sneers and eye rolls from the waitresses, chairs kicked under the table, purses knocked off the backs of chairs. A few of our party departed and we were badgered to settle up. Since we were definitely getting the feeling that we were a big inconvenience we asked if we might move to a smaller table for some drinks and dessert. We thought we were being accommodating, allowing the staff to clear up and freeing up some space. (There were still plenty of empty tables.) Again, the hostess was very nice but the woman who I assume is the manager was very rude. The bartender was VERY rude. We spent nearly $500 and would have spent more but we cut the evening short. The really unfortunate part of this is that we thought we had found a great location for our family to gather on occasion, with people coming from Cedar Lake, Darien, Channahon and Tinley Park. Needless to say we will take our money elsewhere. Avoid the toxic atmosphere here and especially if you have a large party. They apparently don't want or need your business. read more

Pizza has always been very good however the prices are now way too expensive. $8.50 for a pint of beer is beyond ridiculous. This is Mokena not Miami. We had our daughters bridal shower her last weekend. We got the patio room in the back. So very cute. The waitresses were excellent and so accommodating. I had the manager Ryan G. call me a week or two before hand to make sure I had everything I needed. He was excellent. When we got there he came in the room many times to check on us. I just got back from Fox's in Mokena. We were there for a birthday dinner and there were 13 of us. The server seated us in a back room with a VERY noisy party. The noise from this other party was so loud that we had to shout to hear each other at our table. My wife requested for them to move us to the main seating area away from the noisy party, both requests were met with the same answer of no. As we finally left the restaurant after a sub-par meal, we saw that there was Plenty of room in the main restaurant where they could have seated our party. Our server stated that there was going to be a noisy band, setting up in the area that had plenty of seating. But as we left we saw no such mysterious band anywhere. 0 stars. read more

So I live right down the street from here and really want to love the place but I just can't. So I have ordered pizza on the half off days, which I'm sure is hectic and annoying, and the girls who answer the phones are so rude and have a snotty attitude. I do like the food but everything is so expensive for the little amount you get. The appetizers are probably double the price as anywhere else and they're not impressive. Last, my fiance loves the slots so we went a couple of times for drinks and to play and by 9 o'clock they are ready to kick you out. I would say go somewhere else. read more

I had been to Fox's years ago and remember hating the food. Having gone yesterday for a Mother's Day dinner with the family, my opinion has not changed. If anything, it's worse than I remember because in addition to the horrible food, the service we received was awful. The "highlights:" - After taking everyone's drink order, our server, Megan, returns with her tray and hands my cousin her glass of wine in the dirtiest glass. The entire thing is COVERED in fingerprints, smudges, and lipstick marks around the rim. She gave her a new one as soon as I pointed it out, but I'm not really sure how she thought that first glass was acceptable to serve to a guest. There's NO WAY she missed how cloudy/dirty it was, especially when it was sitting next to several other clean glasses on the tray. - We ordered a bunch of appetizers for the table (mozzarella sticks, spinach dip, buffalo wings, and potato skins). The potato skins tasted like nothing, but everything else was good and the only reason I'm giving this place two stars. I could eat that spinach dip for days. - Getting refills on our drinks took forever. We were never actually offered them because Megan was never around, we finally had to ask after about an hour. It ended up being the only round we received in the entire three hours we were there. I was given a "refill" on something I wasn't even drinking and, sticking with the unexpected theme of dirty glasses, someone else's refill had food crumbs floating in it. - The pizza is disgusting, I'm honestly surprised by the comments from people who like it but maybe it's just not my style. The crust is super thin and dry, the sauce had no flavor, and the weird tasting cheese was overcooked and shriveled into a crunchy mess. It might also be worth noting that two of the three people who ate the pizzas were sick later in the evening. Everyone else's dinners (sandwiches, salads, ribs) were subpar as well. - Rather than clearing the table throughout the evening, Megan had started a garbage pile at the end of the table, directly next to where my cousin and I were sat. We ended up eating our dinners two inches away from a stack of dirty salad plates, used napkins, and towering drink glasses (which we almost knocked over multiple times due to its proximity to our pizza). The amount of times she moved someone's dirty plate or an empty water pitcher to the garbage pile rather than take it to the kitchen with her was laughable. It stayed there the entire evening and is probably still sitting there. - On a similar note, it looked like none of the servers were any better about clearing their tables. The room we were in had three other large parties with different servers and after they had gone, I noticed their tables were left uncleared for the rest of the night. Literally stacks of plates with food still on them that just sat there untouched for hours. I'm guessing they weren't planning on needing those tables again that night since they made absolutely no attempt to clean up. Maybe their busser called in sick that day.....? - After dinner was delivered, Megan disappeared completely. We waited about 30 minutes after we'd finished eating for her to bring the check or dessert menus or do SOMETHING related to her job, but she was nowhere to be found. We had to ask another server to send her over so we could pay the bill and get the hell out of there. This was only what I experienced on my end of the table. Because our group (about 15 people) was sat at a long, narrow table, we were so far away from the other end that we had no idea what was happening down there. Based on our conversation in the parking lot before heading home, the service wasn't any better on their half (on one of the rare occasions that Megan cleared the table, she bumped the dirty dishes into several people without an apology of any kind). The experience overall was extremely disappointing, we would have had a far better meal and evening if we had just stayed home. Good luck to anyone who uses this place for special events, be sure to only invite people who enjoy messes and hate clean glassware. read more

Absolutely horrible.... Being a lifelong customer of Foxs then moving out of town we were excited to grab another pizza while in town visiting family. We called our order in for 2 pizzas picked them up and drove to visit family. After opening them up one of the pizzas was incorrectly made. Not what we ordered. Now I'm in the customer service business as well and treating customer a with the us most respect is number one, we always try a way to say yes without upsetting the customer. So when I called and complained that my order was made incorrectly I was hung up on while waiting on hold. I called back and the women told me to wait for a manager. The manager Juan answered the phone and asked what the problem was. I explained that the order was made incorrectly and he said come back and we will make a new one but he wanted to old one back. That would of been ok if I did not already leave, but I was already at my destination and said I'm not driving back. He said they don't do credits anymore and he will have a driver bring a new pizza but wanted the old one back, I said ok that's fine. So the driver arrived with the new pizza and we gave the old one back minus a few pieces. (Kids). Even the driver could not understand why he would want it back. Made no sense to him. Anyway, about 30 minutes after the driver left Juan the manager called me back to harass me, basically telling my I'm a liar. Juan said I had to lift up the cheese to find the double sausage. Never in my entire career have I called a customer back calling them a liar after I agreed to rectify the issue. I'm sorry Foxs but you need a new Manager and you lost a lifelong customer due to his incompetence in dealing with customers. read more

Over all bad experience. Feels like Murphy's Law. Walked in: hostess asked if we wanted a kids menu. Said "yes, one please." No kids menu given. Seated: waited 12 minutes for a server to acknowledge us. When she finally did she said that the other server forgot about us but "she would take care of us." Which was a lie since the person that seated us told us she was our server. Table: had an old noodle on it, so clearly wasn't properly cleaned. Wall: filthy like something splashed on it or it has never been cleaned Dishes on table: dirty. And not just a little; chunks of food. When I said to the server "those are dirty" she replied, "yes they are". No apology. Food: my son ordered pasta primavera. He hates cheese and read the menu carefully. It came with sprinkled Parmesan on it. When I asked if that was cheese on it she said "did you ask for no cheese?" My response was "did the menu say there was cheese?" Which is no. Again, no apology. (I was on the phone when he placed his order or I would have known to ask. Forgive me but after waiting so long I had to answer a call). Other than being a little bland he said it was good. Rueban and loaded baked potato were solid. It they put a little oil on the baked potato before baking it would have been slightly better. Italian wedding soup was good. Overall the server was effective once she got to us, and she wasn't aggressive or overly rude. It was just not a great experience. Like I said... Murphy's law. read more

Family of four (2 children ages 4 & 3). New to the community. Had an awesome time here. Note: Went on a Friday night so there was live music and the most positive gentlemen making balloon animals for the kids. The pizza is awesome (super thin crust-so it comes out quick and our picky 3 yr old devoured everything). Price is fair but the environment has our 4yr old and wife wanting to go back tonight.
