This little gem has great food and fantastic servers. Enjoyed it on a recent trip to attend a friend's wedding. We did not expect to find such a great spot so close to our out-of-the-way hotel but discovering it made a huge difference in our trip. Give them a try. you won't be sorry you did. read more

We went to Bardenay's yesterday - Easter Sunday. They were only serving from their Bruch menu so we had the Croque Madame. Truly one of the worst meals we've ever had. Done on thick, dry, overly sweet French toast, small sliver of ham, tasteless cheese sauce. Beyond disappointing. read more

We visited Bardenay when in the area for a wedding. We came for Sunday brunch the day after the wedding before friends and family made their way back home. They were very accommodating setting up a long table on the patio for us. The patio overlooked the river and green belt path which was a nice added bonus. As for the food I felt that it was rather bland and lacking seasoning. Another family member made a similar comment. Although sang praises for the fry sauce. We had never had anything like that as we were all visiting from out of state. Overall we had a pleasant experience but the food was not mind blowing in my opinion. read more

Always one of the best places to eat in Boise. Best happy hour on the planet. Highly recommended when you are in downtown Boise.

We Love by this place downtown Boise, they didn't have any reservations available, do we made reservations for July 5th at Eagle on the river. When we got there the place was closed. You would think they would turn off the ability to make reservations online if they are closed until July 8. read more

The indoor eating space is extremely loud so we asked to sit outside and that was very pleasant as it is a beautiful space. The jalapeño margarita and old fashioned drinks were great and so was the bruschetta. That is all that we tried as it was a nightcap for us. If they would add some fabrics into the restaurant to absorb some of the noise, then I will come back in the winter to eat indoors but until then I will not dine inside here. read more

Good food and home brewed spirits. Noisy.

Was excited to try with my family since I've been to the boise location. I can say this location does not live up to the boise one. We got sat at 6:30 and no sight of our food through 7:30. Our waiter was impossible to get ahold of and we waited to order for nearly 20 min because he was always disappearing. People that ordered after us got there food before. We were at the point of leaving $5 for the teas we ordered and going to Taco Bell where we would get better service then here. read more

After so many years of enjoying this great casual dining restaurant I have to upgrade my rating to five stars. The owner has created an excellent brand that consistently delivers on great food, great service at excellent value! I recently had the nightly special of Cajun shrimp pasta that blew my mind. One of the best restaurants in town. read more

Disappointed. Didn't receive a salad that was ordered. Fish and chips were not good - overcooked and crust was extremely crunchy (in a bad way) and no sauce accompanying the dish. Soggy fries. The pork chop, salmon and trout were decent. Mashed potatoes were great! Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place and we won't be going again. For the same price you can get much better tasting food from restaurants around the area. read more

A nice gathering place, especially in the summertime with their beautiful patio dining. We find sitting inside challenging if we want to visit. Very noisy! read more

Great location, ok food and atmosphere. It's not the top of our list for good reason...there is nothing super memorable. We like to go out and when we do, I like to be surprised by the food, beverages, service. Nothing feels extraordinary here. It's a great standby but it feels old and tired. They haven't kept up with the pace of new opening lounges/restaurants nearby and it shows. read more

food was very good would have gotten five stars but accidentally rang us up on the regular menu instead of happy hour even though we were pointing at the happy hour menu it's fine but still annoying because i would have expected them to fix that and give us happy hour price since it wasn't our mistake..... server was very kind and food was good it was just offputting that they weren't quick to try and fix things. be sure to double check you are ordering happy hour otherwise they will bring u full size and not mention it and charge you full price. read more

I've been here multiple times and I love the food. The service is always great. I'm eloping in a few weeks, just my partner and I plus our parents are having a small ceremony. I was thinking what a great place this would be to have dinner afterwards. I know they don't accept reservations, but I was hoping they could make an exception for us. I didn't want to get all the way there in our wedding attire and have a super long wait. I said to the lady that answered the phone named Mikah "I know you don't accept reservations", and then explained my situation. She was really rude! "As you just stated, we don't take reservations." I totally get if they can't do it. I've worked in the restaurant industry. But if I'm being friendly and polite, you don't have to be rude. She continued to go on saying "as YOU stated, we don't take reservations. You can come and wait like everyone else" I don't know if she was having a bad day, but kindness goes a long way with me. I'm pretty disappointed. read more

This was our first and last time there tonight! Horrible service! We waited 35 minutes to be seated order drinks and appetizers for 3 people! Waited 25 minutes for the appetizers to get burnt overcooked shrimp! Black Charlie's so they turned them over like we wouldn't notice, overcooked and rubbery. We ordered dinner and sat there waited another hour asked the waiter several times he said the kitchen was backed up and it would be another 20 minutes, we waited and he brought our food to say the kitchen lied and it was ready only to get a cold ribeye, soggy salad and they forgot the burger for our son! We left without eating and was charged 63.00 for an appetizer and 2 glasses of wine! Absolutely ridiculous! Don't waste your time or money in this place! Then I get home to realize I sat in gum on the outside patio and it is not stuck to my shorts and car seat ! Urghhhh. So annoyed! read more

I had the yellow fin tuna salad and heck yes it hit the spot. Not only was it delicious it was huge!! It was mid day and seemed to take them awhile to tend to our small party of 4. Waitress was easily confused when asked about their seasonal beer on tap. I would definitely give them 5 stars for the food, 3-4 for service. I'm excited to give it another shot. read more

Love all of the healthy food options and also the ambiance!! The service is always awesome and the prices are very reasonable!

I LOVE their ahi sandwich mmmmm the best. Great atmosphere and love sitting outside on their patio. Always great service

What a great place - we had a fantastic time on a Saturday late afternoon. Jacob C. was our server and he was a few days out of training and he seemed like he'd been here a year. I'm a former restaurant guy and great service makes all the difference. Try the shishito peppers:)) read more

Great place for a date. I love their sweet potato French fries!!! I've had a few things here, but my favorites are the fish and chips and the salmon. Delicious! read more

It was just okay. Service was fine, atmosphere is pretty nice, just wasn't impressed with their food. It wasn't that it was bad, but it wasn't fantastic. When I go out to eat I want something better than eating at home, something that is worth spending some extra money. This wasn't not that. read more

I remember coming here a couple years ago and I wasn't very impressed because I had a hair in my food. We went again for a birthday dinner and it was really good! I had the bacon wrapped filet with the bleu cheese butter, garlic smashed potatoes and chef's vegetables. It came out perfect and the sauce with the bleu cheese butter was fantastic! My husband had the salmon with the Caesar salad. The salad wasn't great, the dressing had no flavor and was very watery. The salmon was really good with the sauce though. The waiter was nice and friendly. The place was really busy for a Wednesday night so I would say this place is a hoppin' and you'll need a reservation. All in all I would come here again. read more

Always a home run. I don't think one am an Ho wrong from date night to a family get together. Great food and great service.

My husband and I and other family had the opportunity to try this restaurant after church on Sunday I have found my new favorite restaurant the service was very good , the food was amazing and the prices are very fair especially for the quality of the food. #werefansandwillbeback read more

Food was great and very reasonably priced. The patio outside was delightful with great views.

Visited for a second time this weekend and need to update this from 4 to 5 stars. The service was great, food was fantastic. We ordered salmon, shrimp alfredo and kids grilled cheese and they were all great. The huckleberry martini was amazing!!! read more

Averee was wonderful this evening. Super sweet, and helpful. The restaurant is located on a beautiful pond with a huge patio (which was enjoyable). The food was average. I had the Pork Tacos and a side Cesar Salad. Both items were very bland, although everything was cooked properly. I was not overly impressed by the food. read more

Great place, come early to avoid the wait. Gets crowded and too noisy though hence the 4 stars. Food quality is good. Wild salmon (not farm raised!), great bar. Really my go-to place in Eagle. read more

Beyond excellent food and service and wonderful surroundings what I love the most about Bardenay's are the employees. I've met 5 employees all at different times from servers to cooks during their off hours away from the restaurant and they all give me the same message - it's the best place they've ever worked. They love the owners and their coworkers and they all speak of them as though they were a close knit family. The owners are doing something right and I love dining at a place where the employees are treated so well! read more

This was my first time here and it won't be my last. I tried the back my popular demand "Beef Pho" and it was phenomenal. All of the staff were friendly and the service I received was amazing. read more

Stayed at hotel on site. This place is highly recommended as a "nicer" place in Boise vicinity. Situated right next to river. Chose outside seating on sunny, warm day. Inside has generous seating but acoustics made it difficult to carry on a conversation. Large menu with varied options and extensive drink list highlights Bardenay's own liquors. My husband ordered the 8 oz bacon wrapped filet w/ blue cheese butter and sides. Perfect medium rare. Ate every bite. I had 2 apps. Ahi tuna and a Mediterranean plate. Both were fresh and well presented. Service friendly and food came to table less than 15 mins after ordering. Only negatives were the flies and yellow jackets that deterred from the experience. read more

Pretty good place, great service and good food. Some things are better than others. I like the pork chop, yet wouldn't go back for the ribeye. Good salads and apps and the home distilled lemon infused vodka read more

I had scoped out this restaurant in advance. The dining room was lovely but fairly loud. My older family members would have not liked the noise so we did takeout. Our food was ready for pickup at the time they gave. The chimichanga was awesome. The variety of textures and flavors was heavenly. The rest of my family enjoyed their food also. There was fish tacos, pear salad w/ chicken, pork chops, and meatloaf. All very good. We will be returning. read more
