This has been one of favorite restaurant (we have live in Eagle 25 years) for over 20 years have eaten here hundreds of times. Ordered takeout last evening wanted the shrimp salad they said they no longer offer it. We ordered French dip with salad Pork fusion tacos with 2 side salads and an appetizer. We have ordered this so many times and everything was different I mean drastically different- the French dip was horrible meat was so tough roll was different; I wasn't able to eat it even the side salads were different. I get it food costs have risen but they should have increased their prices instead lowering their quality. It saddens me we will no longer go in or order carry out. Eventually their restaurant will suf read more

We had such wonderful experiences here! We came in and had a couple of drinks with Caroline. She was the sweetest and the drinks were great. Chelsea was our server and was also a doll. Then we are there again... (yes the food is this good) and Stephanie was our server and my gosh, she was incredible as well. Highly recommend this place. Had the calamari, Buddah bowl and clams. Check it out. read more

Bardenay is one of our favorite go-to spots for an evening. Their drinks are well made. I still have dreams about their meatloaf sandwich! I take my out-of-towners here for brunch and it's always a hit. The atmosphere is warm and upscale. Go for brunch and sit outside, go for drinks and late night eats. It's a win-win at Bardenay! read more

We've been coming to Bardenay for over 9 years. We have had hundreds of meals here and brought guests many, many times. They have a great, professional staff that provide great food and cocktails at a very reasonable price! Where else can you go for great in house produced liquors? read more

I'm never disappointed. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. I give the greeting crew a zero. They are horrible. Bardenay has been seat yourself for years. I seriously think they should return to it. read more

They have great satays and salads. If you come here at night you should sit out side by the heat lamp. The price per person is about 17 1/2$. The service was great, they even gave us an extra side of sweet potato fries. They are very crowded at around 6:45-8:00. read more

Great tasting food and a lot of unique menu items. I tried the Fusion Tacos and the Fusion Poppers. Though enjoyable, I was a little disappointed in the portion size. A friendly staff and casual environment make for a pleasant dining experience. read more

Just ordered two burgers with fries and they were just perfect. Buns were soft and patties were nicely seasoned along with the fries. Sorry no pics this time the food was too good to wait lol. Definitely recommend eating at Bardenay's. read more

Consistently good food and fast service. The location is great and the restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks (or feels), so they can get a lot of people in and out the door quickly. read more

Very Poor Advertising regarding Mother's Day. Said they don't take reservations for Mother's Day but then apparently the Monday Prior to Mother's Day they started taking reservations and were completely booked. Many people should up early Sunday on Mother's Day to get in only to find out you would have to sit outside because the tables inside were all reserved. The manager really needs to do a better job of planning and with announcements. read more

Bardenay Eagle is one of my favorite places to enjoy brunch on a patio. If only the Boise and Eagle offerings were the same, I'd be the happiest camper around. As it's only offered in Eagle on Sundays, we often aren't able to make it. Food: I've never been disappointed with my choices. The satay's (chicken, beef and shrimp) are my favorite happy hour item. I can order one of each and they fill me and my husband up! If we're going for brunch, which is often why we go, the French toast and Bardenay Breakfast are our two top picks. I've also had the Basque Scramble (SO GOOD!) and Eggs Benedict--all were divine! What I also appreciate about Bardenay is the ala carte brunch ordering. Typically if my husband orders a meal, I'll order a side of egg whites and fruit, making it a great place to enjoy a great atmosphere as well as a healthy meal. Drinks: We haven't had much to drink at Bardenay! Happy Hour Offerings: M-F 4-6 Happy Hour (late night happy hour, too!) with food and drink specials. Get the satay's... they're great! Atmosphere: The only patio that beats Bardenay's is the Ram in Boise, which is why I give it such a high rating. It's lovely out there! The sound of the fountain on the patio, the summer heat and very little traffic noise make this place hard to beat. Service: As Bardenay is almost always very busy and it's a seat-yourself arrangement, it can be hard to get prompt service. Healthy Hack: Order a la carte. I typically don't order off the menu but instead get a side of egg whites and fruit! TIP: It's seat yourself and if it's busy people typically don't mind sharing the big, long tables. read more

Good simple food, happy to get something to go because it's really loud inside, the echo was too irritating. Couldn't hear other people talking at the same table. read more

Glad we found this place while just passing through. Great fast service, even with it being after 9. Food was fresh, came out fast and the Apple Cider Braised Pork Chop was absolutely to die for! It was nice to see a large drink menu also. Quite a busy place but you were still attended to. read more

OK beer selection (both tap and extended bottle). Great selection of Scotches, Whiskys, and wines. But overall not a comfortable place. It's too loud to be a highend restaurant and I don't have plastic surgery too fit in with the other customers. read more

I've had good food and bad. Overcooked burgers and soggy fries have been the norm. I've always begged the server to insure and insist that my burger is med-rare and the fries are crispy. No joy. You get them the way the cook desires, and a different person from the server delivers the food. So no feedback or follow up matters unless you want to make everyone's evening lousy. Just go with fish tacos or salads, which I've enjoyed. The ambianceFish Tacos is delightful, and the drinks are priced in accordance. read more

We had lunch there on Wednesday, great service, great food! No complaints from me or my two friends. We all chose different menu items. I was thrilled with my lunch special, half sandwich & soup for $5. Wow! So good! I don't eat huge portions so I was very satisfied with the flavor, quality and quantity (Perhaps a heartier appetite would need more). This was my 4th visit to Bardenay & I have ALWAYS enjoyed it. read more

Hmmm, the only problem I have with this place is that the atmosphere and architecture is actually better than the food. But the food is pretty good, it could just be better to match the ambiance read more

My family was visiting from out of state and I brought them here for Sunday Brunch. We had the Eggs Benedict and Waffles; the food tasted superb and the service was good. The weather cooperated and we were able to sit out on the patio and soak up some rays. I'm already fan, but I converted some more fans! Cheers! read more

PERFECT Salmon!! Tender, flavorful, fresh, prepared to the BEST moistness!! So very excited to discover this Gem in Eagle. Bob's steak was also perfect, the vegetable were tender and fresh. We look forward to coming back to enjoy the outside seating. The pear and spinach salad has been one of our favorites for years. So Very glad that Bardenay's survived the COVID in style read more

We are new to the area and so happy to have found this great spot! Everything we have ordered has been excellent including food and drinks. Great ahi appetizer and plum wings. They offer many creative cocktails and distill their own vodka which is excellent. Setting is beautiful and staff is friendly and attentive. Can't wait for weather to warm up so we can enjoy their patio. read more

I've been here twice for lunch and had good food and service. The location is very nice, and I opted for the patio seating each visit. Adjacent to a large pond and flanked by the Boise River, it's a great setting. As I don't eat meat, I ordered the portobello mushroom sandwich with fries, and it's been delicious each time. I believe that they also make their own whiskey served up at very nice bar... read more

I've had both of the tuna salads here. The ahi and the yellow tail. I think I prefer the yellow tail. I'm almost done giving gaijin restaurants a chance at doing Asian fusion. The yellow tail was nicely seared and the dressing and mixin's kicked it up a notch. Great wine selection. A little expensive. Nice architecture. The place with packed with Eagle workers at lunchtime. The service was excellent. At least 3 people kept checking on us to make sure all was cool. Next time I am going to try the clams. read more

Come on Bardenay. Can you please get your act together? I've loved this restaurant for years, but I have had too many sub-par meals in the last six months or so. Today, I order a salad and it was not good. I couldn't really eat it. The chicken was so so and the lettuce was all wilted. Bums me out. read more

Delicious! The crispy Brussels sprout appetizer was amazing! The ribeye and trout entrees were also delicious! Service was a little slow but it was busier! Would definitely recommend. read more

I really enjoyed my dinner at Bardenay. I ordered the huckelberry lemon drop ( OMG ) so good. with a sugar/salt rimmed martini glass it was so delicious. We ordered the cheese platter to start, and it was really nice. Four types of cheese with pears/oil/bread. I ordered the Club sandwich with sweet potato fries. Yum the sweet potato fries are my favorite. It is very airy inside with the whole side being open doors to the outside. It is perfect for a summer evening. I love both their locations and have experienced great food and service at both. read more

Typically when I go to a place with middling reviews, I order something easy like a salad. Because there's no way to screw that up, right? Wrong! This place managed to do it. I ordered a pear and spinach salad, which is meant to come with a shallot dressing and glazed walnuts. What I received was partly-wilted spinach with 7 small chunks of underripe pear on top, a barely-there dressing that didn't taste like anything, and a stale piece of bread on the side. I should've just sent the plate back then and there, but I (foolishly) figured that maybe the element that was missing from the salad would make it better: the walnuts. When I called over the waitress to tell her that the salad was a little sad and the walnuts were missing, she simply said 'oh yeah, we're out of those.' Uh, then why didn't you tell me that when I ordered the salad? Why wait until I bring it up?? She didn't apologize (server etiquette 101), but did offer to bring some pine nuts. Which, sure. Whatever. The pine nuts arrived and they were clearly just taken straight out of the bag, a very poor substitute for toasted and glazed walnuts. And I still got charged full price for the salad. Another person at my table found a produce sticker on the sliced tomato in their sandwich (which indicates to me that the tomato was never washed). Another person's fries had clearly been sitting out for some time. Literally how do you mess up simple food so badly? Tl;dr, don't be fooled by the nice location. Take your hard-earned money to a place where servers, kitchen staff, and managers actually take some pride in what they do. read more

Food is always fantastic. Beg for Brian as a server. He's always amazing. Downside: Front desk is still terrible. Made a reservation for the patio. Hostess took us to one of three or four tables in the sun when there were four or five in the shade. We asked to sit at a table for next an umbrella in the shade. We sat down only to be told that the table had not been sanitized and we had to move to another table. Less than five minutes later the other hostess seated a party of three without anybody coming to the table to sanitize it. I get that Bardenay needs to be careful and mindful of COVID procedures, but they need someone responsible to manage the process. What's being done currently is inept and just upsets customers. read more

Another fantastic meal last night. Brought a friend from out of town, figured he would love a local treasure such as Bardenay. Personally I think they have THE BEST breaded fish and chips In town. So fresh, so perfectly cooked. I love their spinach pear salad with Gorgonzola and candied walnuts, so stupid good, and you can add a side salad for cheap. I talked by friend from out of town into getting the Hagerman trout. He was not disappointed, as fresh as it gets, and perfectly cooked. The hubby got his usual favorite and my son their fabulous burger. They have a wonderful cocktail menu and great local drafts on tap. Best deal with this place, they haven't raised their prices significant since the pandemic like everyone else. The value you get for the quality is very good. This is an employee owned and run spot, and they take pride in their work. It has been consistent for the 18 years I've been eating here. I really don't think you can go wrong with Bardenay!! read more

We love Bardenay!! We probably come here every other week in the summer. We can always count on good service, and great food. I reccommend the Sunday morning paper for a drink. During the weekdays my husband and I go in while the kids are in school the bartender I think her name is Piper...?? Anyways she's an awesome bartender. I've tried a lot off the menu my favorites are the turkey club with sweet potato fries or the pork brine. The kids love it here too and the enviroment has a friendly vibe that keeps us coming back!!! read more
